(Keith: 22-ish  Lance: 22-ish   Hunk: 22-ish  Pidge: 20-ish  Shiro: 28-ish)

AU where Lance is a photographer(lol sharpshooter)/model for a local paper/magazine. He's looking for something new and fresh, a new look to spice things up a bit.

Keith basically considers himself to be a failure at everything. He dropped out of high school after his mom died, and ended up finishing his courses online. He couldn't ever seem to get into college, no matter how hard he tried. So he's struggling to find a decent paying job.

His close friend/older brother figure, Shiro, let's him live with him since his dad lives in a different part of the country. Keith helps "earn his keep" by not only paying some of the bills (what little he can with a job as a waiter at a local restaurant), but also helping him sometimes with his ptsd.

Shiro had gone to a military college and joined the Air Force. He had been deployed somewhere in the Middle East when Keith's mom died. Shiro lost an arm in a plane crash, barely making it out with his life. He'd stayed in the plane to maneuver it away from a civilized town instead of ejecting. Shiro was sent home as a hero. Now he works part time as a fitness coach, which he says helps him get used to his prosthetic arm, and helps keep him distracted.

Hunk and Pidge both work part time with Lance, sometimes as photographers, helping with lighting and the set, working the websites and the editors, etc etc. Hunk runs his own restaurant (where Keith is a waiter), and Pidge designs computer software and things of the like, doubling as sort of an IT person when needed.

Lance is eating at Hunk's restaurant, talking with him about his need for something new. Hunk calls Keith over and introduces him to Lance, and Lance almost immediately demands that he comes and does a photo shoot. A bit startled and reluctant, but not wanting to refuse his boss's friend in front of his boss, Keith agrees.

Keith goes in for a test run photo shoot, and intends to drop it there, despite the fact he actually sort of had fun, but then Lance requests he does it again, this time for pay. After hearing how much he could make, Keith agrees to come again.

After a few more shoots, the magazine/paper hires Keith as a full time model for them.

As they spend more time together, Keith starts to notice that Lance's occasional flirts (he flirts with literally everybody at least a little bit) are becoming more frequent, and he starts to wonder if perhaps the photographer has an ulterior motive for keeping him around...
