[Chris's POV]

"I'm a horrible father," I said, Ash trying to comfort me.

"No you're not. Stop saying that," she said.

We waited forever in the hospital waiting room for any news on Lily.

Ian was a wreck, blaming himself for not being fast enough or not bringing her to the party with him even if it was a family gathering.

I told him he has no fault in any of this.

It was then a doctor came in.

"Family of Lily Cerulli," he called out.

We ran up to him.

"I'm her father. Please, how is she?" I asked.

"She's stable, but I'm afraid the damage was worse than we thought," he said.

"What do you mean?" Ricky asked.

"I'm sorry to say, but... Your daughter had traces of... semen on her. I'm afraid to say the worst had happened," the doctor said.

My heart dropped to my stomach.

Everyone held back gasps of horror or cries.

"Please, can we see her?" I asked.

The doctor nodded and we followed him to Lily's room.

We enter to find her asleep and connected to a breather, her arms and hands covered in bandages.

She was pale, and looked ill.

Ian walked up nervously, taking her hand in his carefully, as if made of glass.

"I'm so sorry," he whispered, a tear streaming silently down his cheek.

"Kid, this isn't your fault. Once I get the security cameras, I'm kicking ass," I said. "You didn't cause this."

He sighed, and just held gently to my daughter's pale hand.

I took her other hand, leaning up and gently kissing her forehead.

"I'm so sorry, baby. I shouldn't have left you," I said, feeling more guilty than anyone in this room.

We all waited there for an hour before we hear a small murmur, and look, seeing Lily was waking up.

"Lily," I whispered as her tired brown eyes open a little.

She was dazed for a bit, but then look down at her hands and snatched them away from me and Ian, whimpering as she curled into a ball, shaking in fear as she looked away, sobbing.

My heart broke at the sight.

My little girl is broken.
