Only a short distance from the front door, she tripped on a loose tile and fell to the ground, skinning the palms of her hands and her knees. The shock paused her long enough for the mob to catch up with her and their leader raised a metal club to hit her. Suddenly, he was thrown back and so were most of the other drunks. "That is not a proper way to treat a lady!" a haughty, strong voice shouted and Mira looked up to see Prince Thor holding his war hammer, frowning and at the men but also had a cocky smirk on his face. Mira rolled her eyes, inwardly sighing. Out of anyone who could have rescued her, it had to be the arrogant crown prince? Great. Loki, although invisible at the moment, stood beside his brother and smirked as he caught her exasperated eye roll. Thor could be a bit... dramatic, and he was certainly a bit too haughty and prideful for his own good. Thor kept the drunk attackers away while Loki made himself visible and knelt beside the shaking woman. "Are you alright?" he asked, a worried expression on his face, and Mira, gasping for breath, managed out, "My home-fire-gone-everything-" before letting a tear slip down her cheek and closed her mouth. Loki frowned and looked up, his eyes widening as Thor picked up a man with a burning torch and threw him into the wall of Mira's workshop. "NO!" she screamed as the place caught fire, and the smoke made her eyes water and throat sting. Without thinking straight, she leaped up and ran to the burning building, but before she could even open the door, the sign above broke off the wall and hit her in the head, knocking her out instantly. Loki ran forward and scooped her fragile body into his arms, then moved away from the stifling heat and flames, shouting at Thor to "Quench the fire! Quickly!" Loki's brother finally realized what had happened and summoned a rain cloud to put out the fire, but it was too late - the building collapsed in on itself before the rain began. Not knowing where else to bring her, the brothers then brought Mira's unconscious body back to the palace and their mother. Queen Frigga was angry and upset over the happenings, and sent guards to find and arrest the arsonists after sending Mira to the royal healers...
