Chapter 7

Yuri smiled as she took the bike out of the trunk, she quickly sat on it and rode the bike around in circles before pedaling over to Tiffany with a proud smirk plastered on her face.

"Envious?" She asked.

"Why would I be?" Tiffany quickly answered, scoffing as she diverted her eyes away from Yuri.

"Alrighty," Yuri said, hopping off the bike as she picked it up and positioned it for Tiffany, "Hop on." She patted the seat cushion of the bike. It was a tall blue and grey mountain bike that Yuri always use in the morning for a quick ride down the Han river for some exercising, or when the mountain trail is too small for her SUV, she can always rely on the bike for easy transportation.

"Sit on it?" Tiffany asked.

"Well yeah, do you wanna stand instead?" Yuri asked back.

Tiffany ignored the sarcastic remark and hopped onto the bicycle, grasping the handlebars with both of her hands before Yuri slowly released her own hand that had kept the bike stable earlier.

"Okay, riding a bike is really simple. All you have to do is read this;" Yuri handed her cellphone over to Tiffany with an article titled 'How to ride a bike' featured on the screen.

Tiffany looked at her and scoffed in disbelief. "Are you joking me?"

Yuri laughed and quickly took the phone back, "Of course I'm just joking, I promised you that you would get help from veteran biker of over a decade right? And so I will help you."

"Yeah, yeah" Tiffany mumbled.

"First, use your feet and push yourself along the ground.."

"Like this?" Tiffany asked, demonstrating what Yuri had told her by pushing the ground slowly with her feet making her and the bike slowly move forward.

"Now do the same thing again; push yourself faster to glide across the ground but this time lift both of your feet up and just steer with the handlebars. This is to help you gain balance."

Tiffany simply nodded and looked straight, taking a deep breath before she pushed herself away from the ground again. She lifted both of her feet up gaining balance that had allowed her to skim across the area for a few seconds before the bike lost it's balance and she had to put both of her feet down in order to keep herself from falling with the bike.

"..." Tiffany mumbled as Yuri ran over to her side.

"Aiish, I feel like I'm teaching a kid how to ride a bike or something."

"It's not my fault!" Tiffany retorted, "If only I learned how to ride a bike earlier, we could race and I would win!"

Yuri sighed, "Well now I'm here to teach you now, aren't you grateful?"

"I didn't ask you to teach me" Tiffany crossed her arms.

Yuri laughed, "Okay, okay anyway, just imagine me as your mom and imagine that you're a kid again and that your parents a.k.a me is here to teach you how to ride bike alright?"

"What? How am I suppose to imagine something like that?" Tiffany asked bewilderedly.

"Chant this to yourself 'Yuri is my mom, I am a kid again. Yuri is my mom, I am a kid again~" Yuri suggested.

"No!" Tiffany blatantly rejected the so-called 'suggestion'.

"Fine fine, do whatever floats your boat, gosh. Move your hands to the end of the handlebar."

After Tiffany moved her hands, Yuri took hold of a small length of the handlebar and began pushing the bike herself with Tiffany still seated. "Pedal!" she ordered Tiffany who then quickly proceeded to pedal the bike, slowly at first, following Yuri's walking pace.

"Keep it steady like this, keep pedaling."

Tiffany nodded as she pedaled straight ahead - until Yuri released her that is, and that was when she started to panic.

"Hey...wait!!" Tiffany shouted

"Just keep pedaling you can do it! You're balancing right now! See!?" Yuri yelled, watching Tiffany as she pedaled the bike faster and faster. Tiffany looked ahead and upon realization that she was now riding the bike - on two wheels - and on her own, she couldn't hold in her excitement. "I'm so taking you down now Yoona!" She laughed wildly at the fact that Yoona always teased her about not knowing how to ride the two-wheeler when she is older than her.

"Hey, riding a bike is actually easy!" Tiffany looked back and shouted to Yuri who has a horrific look on her face.

"Watch out for that tree!"

---

"Come on, I'll introduce you guys to our friends." Hyomin signaled the two girls far across the platform of the cafe. Seohyun groaned when Kimi pushed her to go with her.

"Let's go!" Kimi hoarsely whispered, pulling along Seohyun with her as they walked over to Yoona's table. Jonghyun immediately went to the other table and pull up the chairs for the girls.

"Thanks oppa!" Kimi said, Jonghyun wanted to barf at the spot.

"You're welcome" He said distastefully, rolling his eyes. Too bad his behavior went unnoticed to the oblivious and naive Kimi who has shown interest in him for a long time.

"So, your name is Seohyun right?" Onew asked.

"Yes, and you are?"

"Onew. Nice to meet you." Onew smiled.

While the two introduced and greeted one another, Yoona eyed her target carefully from bottom to top, Seohyun would definitely be her hardest target yet, but then, nothing is "Impossible."

"What?" Hyomin asked Yoona, who had unconsciously muttered out the word 'impossible'.

"Oh nothing, uh..anyways! Nice to meet you, my name is Yoona." Yoona extended out a hand towards Seohyun but felt awkward as her hand was across the table yet Seohyun was not shaking it. She simply stared at it.

"Uhm, nice to meet you too." Seohyun took her hand and shook it when Kimi gave a little kick to her leg under the table.

"Well, it's nice to meet you both. We're all cool here right?" Onew asked cheerfully, taking a sip out of his frappé.

"Right!" Kimi agreed. "So when are we going bowling?"

"Let's all go now! We're taking Yoona's car!" Hyomin ran out of the entrance but was only chased back by Yoona.

"Find someone to clean out my car quick." She slipped Hyomin a hundred buck and the keys to the car.

"What why?" Hyomin asked, confused. Yoona was so dirty that all of her friends got used to it already, she didn't know why Yoona suddenly wanted her car to be clean.

"I have to win that bet at all costs you know? Seohyun seem like those kind of girls who are uptight about things like being neat" Yoona explained.

"Alright got it." Hyomin gave a nod before she approached the janitor walking along the campus.

"Wanna earn a quick hundred?" She asked, flashing the precious money bill in his face.

---

"Hyomin had to take care of some business, she'll be back in a minute or so, so let's all just wait for her." Yoona announced, sitting down. She looked over at Seohyun who seemed like she was bored out of her mind reading a book while Kimi just stared blankly and lovingly at Jonghyun watching him and analyzing him carefully.

They all waited patiently in silence - with Jonghyun showing Onew his latest issue of DUB Magazine until Yoona picked up the phone when it silently vibrated against the table.

"It's done." Hyomin said over the phone.

"Wow that was quick? Alright, we'll come out now." Yoona said quickly before hanging up.

---

"Watch out for the tree!" Yuri yelled, covering her eyes not wanting to see the 'horrific' crash but it was too late. As soon as she heard a crashing sound and a shriek coming from Tiffany, she quickly ran over to her.

"Blood!" Tiffany shrieked, clutching onto her knee as a stream of blood trickled down the entirety of her leg. Her knees was scraped. Drops of tears began forming at the corner of her eyes.

"You see this!? This is all your fault! And now look!" Tiffany scolded her, a stream of tears rolling down her eyes as she squeeze the sides of her knee in hope that it would stop the blood from oozing out.

"Hold on, okay?" Yuri said, running back into her car to pull out the first aid kit Seohyun bought for her. She quickly went back to tend Tiffany.

"Don't touch it!" Yuri yelled at Tiffany as soon as she tried to touch the wound. She placed the first aid kit down and began taking out the alcohol wipes out of it's package.

"This may hurt a little." Yuri noted, blowing a stream of air onto the wound on the knee. Tiffany looked intently at her while she gently dabbed the wipes onto the wound.

"Ah!" Tiffany cried as the alcohol content of the wipes stung her.

"Man up." Yuri laughed as she wiped the wound carefully.

"Man up? This is all your fau- ow!"

"This is so that the wound won't be infected, a little pain would be worth not getting infected right?" Yuri took out the blood-stained alcohol wipes and showed her. Tiffany wanted to say something back but she couldn't, she just sulked as Yuri took out a roll of bandages and began to expertly roll it around the knees in a couple layers before she bit the excess bandage off and taped it.

"Voilà, you're ready to go!" Yuri stood up and helped Tiffany up also.

"Ow my elbow.." Tiffany muttered, about to tear up once again when the pain from the wound suddenly intensified when Yuri pulled her arm to help her up. She didn't know she scratched the elbow in the first place.

"Aish, lemme see this." Yuri grabbed her arm, inspecting it as knelt down on one knee and ripped out another small package of the bacteria cleansing alcohol wipes and dabbed it gently.

"Does it hurt?" Yuri asked softly, watching Tiffany's reaction as she continued to clean up the wound.

"You try falling down and see if it hurts!" Tiffany said, her eyes were visibly red from crying earlier.

"Aw, you want me to kiss your booboo to make it all better?" Yuri asked, pouting her lips as she playfully tried to kiss the elbow.

"No!" Tiffany yelled, pushing her away as she held onto her own elbow Yuri was tending.

"Just kidding sheesh." Yuri grabbed the arm back and wrapped the bandages around the slender arm before tearing it with her teeth and taped it together. "There! Tiffany Hwang is now fixed."

Tiffany looked down at the bandages on both her arm and her leg and began to sulk, "I'm covered in bandages because of you! Nagging me to learn how to bike when I didn't wanna in the first place! When the paparazzis see me, guess what's gonna be featured on the news!?"

"Hey! Don't blame me! You're the one turning your head around shouting 'hey riding a bike is pretty easy' that's why you ran into the tree, I warned you, you know?" Yuri defended herself, crossing her arms.

"Ugh! If this leaves a scar, you're dead!" Tiffany said in finality.

"We'll see about that." Yuri winked, picking the bike up from the ground.

"Oh great, not only that you scratched yourself, you also scratched my bike!"

"Don't compare me to your bike! I'm worth more!" Tiffany complained.

"But to me, the bike is worth more than you."

"KWON YEWREE -"

"Yewree?" Yuri asked, raising one eyebrow up.

"My Korean pronunciation isn't perfect okay!?" She sulked one again.

Yuri laughed. "Do you want some more ice cream?"

"No! I'm gonna get fat because of you!"

---

"Let's go rent the bowling shoes!" Jonghyun stated, "Give me all your sizes now"

"5,5,4,9,8...and what's yours Seohyun?"

"Oh, I'm not playing." Seohyun said quietly.

"C'mon, it'll be fun!" Jonghyun pushed on.

"Yeah! It'll be fun!" Hyomin added.

"Alright..I guess I'm size 5 then" Seohyun shrugged, giving up to the constant nudges given by Kimi.

"Right here!" Yoona waved them over to the table, and as soon as everyone slipped on their shoes - except for Seohyun, they immediately started a new game with Jonghyun playing first, like always.

25 minutes passed by and it was Hyomin's turn to play. Everyone was enjoying themselves except Seohyun who sat quietly reading a book. Yoona stopped watching the game and walked over to Seohyun, hoping to strike up a conversation with her. Getting closer to her target was the goal, after all.

"Why aren't you playing and having fun?" Yoona asked her.

Seohyun looked up at her, "I don't know how to play, plus, I rather do something more productive." Seohyun said, flipping a page through the book she was reading.

"What book are you reading?" Yoona asked curiously trying to entice another conversation with her.

Seohyun sighed, "Uhm." she mumbled as she flipped over the book and showed the cover to Yoona, "It's a book about archaeology"

"Oh, that's nice." Yoona smiled, "I have some interests in archaeology too, it's pretty fascinating, aren't you a archeologist also?" She asked, sitting down on the seat across from Seohyun.

Seohyun nodded, finally somebody was talking about something relevant to her interests. "That's why I'm always missing out on school, me and my Unnie always travel around the world to the dig sites."

"Wow, really? That's awesome! I'd love to travel around like that! is your Unnie an archaeologist also?" Yoona asked again with genuine interest.

Seohyun shook her head, "Nope, she's a photographer, well kinda, since she has many part time hobbies and jobs. Her name is Kwon Yuri."

"Kwon Yuri? Does she happen to own a photoblog on the interweb?" Yoona asked, thinking how the name sounded familiar and that's probably why she thought she saw Seohyun from somewhere before.

"Yup, that's right!" Seohyun smiled and nodded.

"Really? No wonder I thought I saw you from somewhere! In fact, I first saw you - well, pictures of you on the blog!" Yoona said excitedly, "I love her blog!"

"Yup, she likes to take a lot of pictures." Seohyun smiled once again. "My unnie would love to hear that she has people that loves her work."

"That is so awesome! Would it be okay if you introduce her to me one day?"

"Uhm, sure, I don't see why not!" Seohyun said with smiling eyes, similar to her own sister Tiffany, yet, unique and different in every other way.

"Thanks!" Yoona smiled, "Being an archaeologist is hard work right?"

Seohyun sighed, "We have to travel a lot and work in the hot sun."

"In the hot sun? Your skin is still pretty milky white." Yoona contradicted, laughing.

Seohyun chuckled, "Thank god for the big straw hats and tons of sunblock!"

Yoona looked at her even more intensely, her smile, her chuckle, her laughs. Everything about Seohyun just seemed so innocent and different unlike the other girls she had met before. Oh, what's this? Was the 'Im Yoona' actually falling in love at first sight? "Impossible."

"What's wrong?" Seohyun asked and laughed when she saw Yoona staring at her and once again mumbling out the word 'impossible'.

"Nothing." Yoona smiled and shook her head, "You said that you don't know how to bowl right? How about I teach you?"

"Teach me?"

"Yeah, teach you." Yoona nodded her head.

"It's okay." Seohyun declined, "They're having fun at the moment, and I don't want to bother..you should go play with them too!"

"Don't worry, we can always use the next lane. Let's go!" Yoona stood up and grabbed Seohyun's arm, pulling her to the lane across from the other 4 having fun.

"Jonghyun where's the shoes?" Yoona yelled.

"Here!" he threw both of the shoes to Yoona and she catches it, telling Seohyun to sit down before she tried to put on the shoes for her.

"Yoona is making her move already huh?" Jonghyun chuckled, watching Yoona as she helped Seohyun wear the bowling shoes.

"It's okay, I can do it myself." Seohyun quickly tried to put it on herself but Yoona insisted, holding onto the shoes.

"Since I'm already kneeling down, I'll just help you put it on" Yoona said, she took off Seohyun's current shoes and placed it aside. She took the bowling shoes and wore them on Seohyun's feet, tying up the laces into a knot and stood up, dusting her hands. "All ready!"

"Uhm..thanks." Seohyun said shyly, standing up from the seat. She shyly followed Yoona to the bowling and stood beside her.

Yoona began examining the bowling balls before picking one up and tossed it up before catching it again, "This ball is light, I think you should use this one..." Her voice trailed off as she heard Seohyun's name being called out by someone - a guy specifically and she turned her head around to see that the guy was steadily approaching Seohyun.

"Seohyun! What brings you here?" Junsu yelled, giving Seohyun a hug that she happily returned back. Yoona felt a bit uneasy, was this guy Seohyun's boyfriend? "I thought Jonghyun said she doesn't like boys...yet?"

"I went out with errr- a few friends." Seohyun explained to him.

"Them?" Junsu asked, pointing to the 4 having fun in their own world, "I thought you don't like hanging out at these kinds of places?"

Seohyun laughed and sighed, "Kimi practically forced me to go."

Yoona cleared her throat trying to capture Seohyun's attention. "Oh right! Oppa, meet Yoona! And Yoona, meet Junsu. He's like a brother I wish I won't ever have."

Junsu laughed before knocking Seohyun on the head, "Nice to meet you Yoona." He extended out a hand, and Yoona quickly shook it.

"Nice to meet you too." She said with a brighter expression as she now knows that this 'Junsu' was not Seohyun's boyfriend, she sighed out of relief.

"Am I bothering you two here?" He chuckled.

And as soon as Yoona was about to speak, Seohyun spoke up first, "Not at all! But why are you here?"

"The guys wanted to bowl, and so yeah, here I am." Junsu chuckled, "I guess I should be going over to them, you have fun with your friends, and again, nice to meet you Yoona."

Yoona smiled and nodded, waving a little bye to him before turning back to Seohyun, wanting to eagerly show her how to bowl.

"Where were we?" Seohyun laughed.

"Choosing a ball! This ball is light, it's perfect for you." Yoona picked up the ball again and turn it to the side where the holes are. "You see these three holes? You hook your thumb on the bottom. Your ring and middle fingers goes through the other 2 holes. Try it."

Seohyun nodded and hooked her fingers into the ball and she tentatively picked it up with her right hand while her left hand was used to grasp the ball and keep it from falling.

"Is it heavy?"

"Oh, no not at all." Seohyun shook her head.

"Okay, good." Yoona smiled. She began to walk towards a faint line located in the bowling lane. "This is the foul line, when you make the approach to swing the ball, you can't run pass this line." She explained.

"I see." Seohyun nodded.

"Stand right here" Yoona motioned her to a spot on the lane. She began to walk behind Seohyun and placed her hands on her shoulders. "You'll have to stand with your back straight, and your shoulders centered towards to the target." She gently positioned Seohyun, she could feel Seohyun's shoulders tensing up under her hands.

"Ookay, got..it" Seohyun stuttered. A shiver was sent down her spine when she felt Yoona's hands.

"You'll have to slightly bend your knees and keep your feet slightly together. Gently slide your left feet in front of the other one and maintain a non-twisting approach of your body as you swing the ball with your right hand." Yoona explained as she showed Seohyun an example of how to bowl. She picked up a ball and did the technique.

"YOU GOT A STRIKE!" The computerized voice announced under the scoreboard.

"Wow, that's so cool!" Seohyun said, clapping her hands. Yoona just smiled proudly as she gave herself a pat on the back. "That was pure luck." She chuckled.

"No, you're really good!" Seohyun concurred.

"Nah, pure luck." Yoona chuckled again, "How about you try this time?"

---

"Getting fat for this is worth it isn't it?" Yuri asked Tiffany, Both of them were now sitting outside the ice cream shop's balcony tables enjoying the frozen treats with no hostile situation whatsoever. Despite the fact that they were arguing throughout the day so far, not sparing each other one bit.

"Might as well eat a lot before winter comes." Tiffany said, picking up the sugared cherry from the sundae and placed it in her mouth.

Yuri smirked, "Riight." She said, looking at her watch, "Anyway, we have about 2 and a half more hours until the concert officially starts. What do you want to do to kill time?"

"I don't know." Tiffany shrugged her shoulders, she was totally focused on eating the ice cream in front of her. "I have a question though, how did you manage to get the VIP tickets? I searched every where for them!"

"Eh, it was nothing. Easy peasy for me to get. I had connections you know?" Yuri said arrogantly.

"Concert bouncers you mean?"

Yuri looked up at her with seriousness, "No."

"Okay, forget that then. I'm REALLY curious to why you wanted to take me to the concert - by the way, I only accepted it because I love Jason Mraz that I have to go through this horrible day with you." Tiffany said clearly to avoid 'misunderstandings'.

"Oh please, I never invited you. Sunny wanted me to take you."

"Sunny? but she said that you invited me!" Tiffany declared, "She said you did some research and found out I liked Jason Mraz too!"

"Research? I don't have time for that." Yuri crossed her arms.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking about?" Tiffany said, creeping closer to the center of the table.

Yuri raised her eyebrow, "Maybe?"

"Sunny really actually wanted us to become friends—"

"—Or just maybe Sunny was sick of being around you all the time so she tried to lessen her burden by pushing you to me for one day—"

Tiffany immediately glared at her, "What did you just say?"

"Haha, just kidding!" Yuri lightly pushed her arm.

"You know what? for the most of today, I have suffered enough through the hands of you. Who do you think you are to be pushing THE Tiffany Hwang around like this and make her suffer?"

"Huh? what do you mean?" Yuri asked, pretending not to know about what she was talking about.

"Number 1, Your sarcastic remarks. 2. Leaving me behind. 3. Making me cry not 1 times, but 3 times in the same day! 4. Causing me to fall down on my bike leaving me with scraped knees and elbows." Tiffany counted off her fingers, "I wonder what's next! getting me stomped over by a stampede of paparazzis?!"

"Uhh, about that..." Yuri mumbled.

"TIFFANY HWANG, CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR SCANDAL WITH CHOI SIWON?!" A paparazzi yelled from afar, behind him was a dozen of other paparazzis from different news and gossip magazines running towards them.

"So uhm, unless you truly want to be stomped over by a stampede of those paparazzis..I think we should go." Yuri said, quickly grabbing her hands dragging her away.

"Wait my purse!" Tiffany shouted, going back to grab her purse but Yuri quickly did so first and held her hands again as they both run for Yuri's car.

"HEY YOU TWO HAVEN'T PAID FOR THE ICE CREAMS YET!" The ahjumma yelled at Yuri and Tiffany who was frantically hopping inside the car before the paparazzis can get to them, the ahjumma grabbed one of the nearby journalists.

"You know the two girls? PAY UP!"
