CHAPTER 25:
Party to end all fights.
Quinn

"I don't think anyone's going to be playing boardgames, Demetri," I said as I looked at the number of cars and the loudness of the music blasting outside of the house.

So a little bit more than just us.

But it never hurt anyone to mingle.

The music only got louder as we walked into Moons home, memories of us when we were kids playing in the living room or watching The Wiggles flooding back and I cracked a smile.

Until I felt an immediate tension and looked across from us to see Cobra Kais.

What?!

An uncomfortable staredown started and I completely avoided all eye contact with anyone, especially Hawk, and looked awkwardly to the floor.

"Sam! Quinn!" Moon walked up to us, drink in hand, "I'm so glad you came. Kegs are out back, drinks are in the kitchen, and the vegan pigs in a blanket just got out of the oven."

Uhm, hello?

Cobra Kai?!

"Moon, you never said anything about inviting Cobra Kai."

"Well, I figured with summer ending and school starting back up, we could stop all the fighting and be friends again," She stated.

"It's wishful thinking," Sam replied.

"Sam, trust me. Get rid of all this negative energy, clear your chakras, and have some fun," Moon smiled, attempting to lighten the atmosphere.

"Quinn, you have got to come upstairs. I have something for you," Moon dragged me upstairs and I was thankful for her saving me from any awkward encounters, but slightly guilty that I left my friends behind to defend themselves.

"Moon, you don't know what it's been like for us. Cobra Kai turns people into-what is that?" I stood in awe of the red outfit before me, almost making me forget about our current predicament.

"Figured you wouldn't have a party outfit and I bought the perfect in-between at the mall yesterday. Not too much, but certainly not too little," She grinned widely.

"Oh, and of course, nude heels go with everything."

I feel so bad now.

I'm trash talking you in a song and you don't even know.

I rested the outfit on her bed before grabbing her hands, and saying, "I think you might want to sit down for this, and I hope you can forgive me.

"Sam? Sam? Are you. . .drunk?" I questioned.

"No, I'm. . .I'm fine," She held in a burp and kept blinking rapidly.

"You cannot drive home like that. Does Robby know how to drive?"

"I don't kn-know," And now she's stuttering.

Great.

"I'll go grab my bag and we can leave-"

"I'm fine," She stated.

"How many fingers am I holding up?" I questioned, leaning against the counter as she sneered at my hand.

"Four."

"Two. We're leaving," She groaned as I made my way upstairs, carefully leaning on the railing so these heels don't trip me.

Cute, but not ideal for stairs.

I've managed to avoid Cobra Kais all night.

Tory was being a bitch just by looking at me but that can't be-

The door behind me shut.

-avoided.

"Hey princess, I've missed you," Hawk stated with a proud smirk as I sighed.

"Not gonna talk?"

Not for you.

"Kreese thinks your moms been manipulating you, and I agree-"

"Do not talk about my mom," I warned, "She's been nothing but nice to you."

"And so she speaks," He stated, getting closer to me.

"It's prettier than I thought."

"What?"

"Your voice," He grabbed my chin, "and smoother. Wonder what it would sound like saying my name."

I jerked away with a glare,
"We're minors."

"Who said I was talking about that?"

Fuck you.

"I'm leaving. Sam is drunk, and I-"

"Have to find Robby?" He guessed, stepping in my way when I tried to leave.

"He's a big boy, he can handle himself."

"He's also my friend."

"Friend, huh? That's not how I see it," Hawk almost snarled.

"Stop acting like Jacob Black with your weird claim on me, okay? I'm not your problem anymore, so you don't have to be mine," He looked hurt by what I said but I refused to let that phase me.

"I like you," He burst out, faltering me.

"I've always liked you, Quinn. Please, just come back to Cobra Kai. Or atleast leave Miyagi-Do. . .so we can be together," He slid his hand into mine, and as much as I wanted to just say okay and go with him, that's not me anymore. Even though he still got my heart racing, I wouldn't be at his call with the leash he wanted to have me on.

"Unlike you, I don't abandon friends like that," I marched past him.

But before I could grab the doorknob and just leave, he locked the door and next thing I knew, my back was against it.

"I'm not letting you go."

"That's kind of illegal!"

"You're drunk, you're not thinki-"

"The only one with alcohol on their breath is you. Now let. Me. Go," I glared, and he did a double take looking back at him through the giant glass windows.

And looked back at me with a smirk.

"I will hurt you."

"You wouldn't."

"I've done it before," I dared.

"True loves kiss."

What?

"What?" I questioned.

"It's supposed to cure a curse, wake someone up from their eternal sleep."

"Shut up, and just mo-"

My lips stayed frozen as words stopped coming out of my mouth, and it wasn't from shock. Well, it was.

But it was also because he kissed me.

Panicking, I bit down on his bottom lip. Hard.

He immediately backed away and hissed, and then I kicked him in the balls and shoved him onto the floor before rushing out of the room.

He didn't.

He didn't.

Why would he do that?!

Why is he trying to hurt me?!

I choked on a sob as I made my way down the stairs, part of me wishing I had just stayed and gotten with the boy I've always wanted, and part of me hating him for even going so far.

"Quinn! Quinn, hey, what happened?! I saw. . .Quinn?" Robby started up the stairs and saw me crying and I collapsed into his arms.

"What did he do?!" Robby demanded while trying to sooth my cries.

"P-please just. . .just take me home," I sobbed, and he looked like he wanted to march up there and murder Hawk, but decided to tend to me instead.

I hate this.

I hate that I realized this yesterday. . .

I hate that I know this feeling is real.

I hate the fact that I love him.

Oof, dick move Hawk. Both are going to be sad smol babies in s3, but its not over yet. Two more chapters and then we are off to s3.
