CHAPTER 36:
Inbetween.
Kristen

"Kris, I-"

"Nothing you'll say is going to change my mind about you. No matter how you compare my life to or how you thought you raised me is going to change how I see you," I explained to my father.

"And how do you see me?"

"The worst type of military parent, and an absentee father."

"I'm not here to fight with you, Kris. I want to talk about Quinn," He said as he casually sipped his coffee.

"What about her?"

"Well, she's a great kid. She's disciplined, she's docile, and she can fight well. Plus I don't have to worry about her marrying the wrong type of person with Hawk."

"She hates him. He's been through therapy with her, and then he dropped her. Then again, Cobra Kai can bring out the worst in people," I eyed him.

"And I don't care who she marries, so long as they're good to her."

"They? Is she one of those on and off agains?" I raised my brows.

On and off?!

"And you don't see why I was terrified of telling you I was gay?" I genuinely questions, my brows furrowed.

"I'm fine with it now. I just didn't want the Kreese bloodline to end."

"Are you a fucking lion? A bear? I was fine with adopting."

"Blood is thicker than water," He shrugged.

I still hate you.

"You may think that you were the greatest fucking dad in the world, but you stayed in the Army while I was raised by my mothers grandparents. I didn't even meet you until I was six. I didn't know my own mother, and you always refused to tell me anything about her. I had to ask my grandparents and they seemed to love her more than you did."

"Hey," He said in a warning tone, "I loved Betsy. There's no doubts about your mother."

"Well way to show it," I crossed my arms.

"Quinn needs a grandfather figure in her life."

"She has done fine without you. She's so smart, she's brave, she's been an A honor roll student since middle school. And last I checked, you were dead. How would the state feel knowing you faked your own death?" I brought up.

"I've done it before," He shrugged.

Yeah, no shit.

"Why didn't you press charges against those criminals for killing Jesse?"

Don't blow up, Kris.

He's trying to get a reaction out of you.

"Those men were in their for petty crimes, just part of some random gang that didn't even hurt bad people - just filling up our prison cells. All of them had kids, so Jesse stood no chance. They're actually great citizens now, and they deserved a second chance," I explained, not that he deserved any kind of explanation from me.

"So he really did hurt her?"

"Why would she be quiet for six years? You know what, you're clearly delusional. Go see a therapist," I grabbed my bag and started to walk out of the diner.

"You remember Terry Silver?"

I stopped in my tracks. Of course I remembered Terry Silver, he's stupid rich and he owned Cobra Kai. He even scared me as a kid, and I hated him for turning Daniel against Mr. Miyagi.

Because Mr. Miyagi was the only one at the time who knew I didn't like men.

He even accepted me.

"Don't care."

Ooooh ~foreshadowing~.
If Terry Silver does show up for s4, and Kristen reacts to him badly, he might just try to do something in the legal ways of the law, since he is written as her guardian if Kristen is deemed unfit. Quinn Silver has a nice ring to it.
