Jungkook's POV

Arriving back at my room, I flop on my bed. I don't know what is happening to me. That girl is lodged in my brain. I have to find a way to man up and talk to her, or just move on. Scrubbing my face with my hands, I sit up and head to the bathroom to clean up. I need to meet the hyungs in an hour to get ready for the awards show, so it's time to clear my head.

After a long shower, I put on some sweats and head to RapMon hyung's room. We're supposed to meet there to practice our English, and get styled for the show. I'm the first to arrive though and hyung takes this opportunity to grill me a little.

"Hey Kook... What's going on with you?"

"What do you mean Hyung? I'm fine."

"You seem distracted. Is it that pretty girl? I know we were teasing you, but you seemed to really like her. I saw how you were looking at her."

"I don't even know her Hyung. She's just a pretty girl..."

"Okay Kook. But it's alright to like her, you know?"

"Thanks Hyung. I find her attractive, but nothing could ever happen anyway. She's American..."

"So? I don't get what you mean."

"I can't even communicate with her. We live half a world away. There's no point..." I look down in defeat at these thoughts.

"I think you shouldn't sell yourself short, but I'm not going to force you to do anything you're not comfortable with. I'll also try to get the guys to cut back on the teasing, if that helps..."

"Thanks! That'll be great."

Letting the conversation drop, I head to the bedroom with the stylists and start getting ready.

Namjoon's POV

I have been watching Jungkook the past couple days. I'm concerned because he really seems taken with that girl. I hate that he doesn't think he could talk to her. I know he's shy, and it makes it difficult, but the twinkle that's been in his eyes when she's around is new. I would like to find a way to help him break out of his shell. He's always worrying about the members and ARMY. Just once I'd like to see him put himself first...

Jungkook's POV

Arriving at the awards, the ARMYs outside are screaming for us. It's a really good feeling and makes me proud that we've touched their lives. We walk the Red carpet and pause for pictures and interviews. RapMon hyung is amazing as usual. We're stopped for another photo, and I look up and there SHE is. She's standing right in front of us and taking photos with her phone. I keep my eyes on her only while we pose for the photographers and ARMY. I may never get to talk to her, but I'll take every opportunity to bless my eyes with her beauty.

I feel myself being nudged by Yoongi hyung, so I reluctantly move on. He chuckles and says "Let's go Lover boy..." I smile at him and feel my cheeks heat up. Thankfully, none of the other members seemed to notice. Yoongi hyung isn't the kind of guy to embarrass me on purpose, so I feel relieved.

Once inside the auditorium I'm in awe... The ARMY presence here is incredible. We take our seats and chat amongst ourselves. I see RapMon hyung stand and greet someone. As he moves away a little, I realize it's Halsey. She introduces herself to each of us. After we speak for a few minutes she requests a picture with us. RapMon hyung has stepped away to talk with someone though. She turns to another person and asks them to take the picture. I look up and almost choke. Standing shyly in front of us is 'My Beauty'. I scoff to myself - "Who are you kidding Jungkook? YOUR Beauty... As if..." She raises her phone and takes the picture for Halsey. Then she turns away. Is she blushing? Cute.

Halsey tells us she'll see us later and wishes us LUCK for our nomination. She goes to the girl and I watch them talk with each other. SHE seems upset, or nervous. Halsey takes her hand and speaks quietly to her. I wonder about this interaction. Why is SHE so nervous? Why is SHE trembling? The two of them walk away, and I lose sight of HER.

Throughout the awards show, I catch glimpses of HER. She keeps moving seats, so she must be a filler. I watch her when she's close though. Halsey is about to perform and suddenly SHE'S seated 2 rows in front of me. I enjoyed watching her dance and sing along to Halsey's performance. So adorable. I look to my right to see RapMon hyung watching me with a smirk on his face. I lower my head and blush like the fool I am.

It's time. Next category is Top Social Artist. The announcers start introducing the nominees and ARMY goes CRAZY! "And the billboard goes to... BTS!!!" WOW!!  It's like a dream. The screams and cheers of ARMY are amazing. My heart is so full right now.

I float through the rest of the awards show with a sense of pride. I watch the performances and don't take much in. I can't believe we won. I really didn't think we would.

At the end of the awards, we follow RapMon hyung to the backstage area. We do a couple interviews, and pose for pictures with other artists. It's all a blur until SHE is there. Halsey walks into the room holding her hand. They stop and Halsey starts speaking to RapMon hyung. She introduces the girl to him. He's smiling and shakes her hand. My ears start buzzing at this point. I feel suffocated with what's about to happen. RapMon hyung turns to us and says "This is Halsey, who you met, and her new friend that won a contest to accompany her to come here."

"What is your name?"

"Catherine"

Jimin hyung smiles at her and tries to say her name. "Cafferine?"

She giggles, and it's absolutely the most beautiful noise I've ever heard. "Close enough. And you are?" Jimin hyung looks at RM confused, but I speak up.

"She wants to know your name Hyung"

I think everyone, including myself, was shocked that I said anything.

"I am Jimin"

The buzzing in my ears comes again seeing her smiling with him. An unwanted emotion takes over, while I watch her talking, and smiling, to the other members. I feel a presence next to me and I turn to see Halsey smiling at me. She whispers "pretty isn't she?"
I blush, and look down nodding. I can't deny the truth.

Halsey calls to Catherine, and I feel my heart pounding in my chest. "Catherine... This is Jungkook." I raise my head quickly and meet eyes with Jimin hyung who is almost laughing.

She smiles at me and speaks, making my knees shake. "Hello... Jungkook is it?"

"Y-Yes" smooth, real smooth Jungkook...

She's smiling at me but I can't find anything else to say.

"Congratulations on the win today."

I thank her but still don't say anything else. I'm fucking this up so bad. She looks around, and seems uncomfortable since the other members are all talking to Halsey and we're basically alone. She looks back to me and smiles which makes my heart tremble... 'Damn it! Speak Jungkook!'

Catherine - "It was nice to meet you Jungkook. Congratulations again."

She looks disappointed as she turns to walk away. I want to cry. What is my problem? I open my mouth, but close it again. I'm just going to embarrass myself. I stand with my hands in my pockets, shoulders slouched, and watch her walk over and enjoy conversations with all the other members. I stand alone and beat myself up for being a coward.

Namjoon's POV

This damn kid! He only had to TRY to speak to her. He looks so dejected right now. I see him stand alone watching her talk with the other members. Halsey approaches me and asks for a conversation, so we step away together.

"Are you guys going to the after parties?"

"We are going back to do a v-live for ARMY and then maybe we'll go to one."

"Cool. I just thought it'd be nice to meet up at an after party. There's one at The Venetian rooftop club. I figured since Catherine is staying there, it'd be the smartest one to go to. Hope you guys can make it."

"I'll talk to the members."

I know what she's up to. I want the same thing she does, but I don't know if Jungkook can handle it. I have seen Catherine looking at him, but he is too shy. He looks away when she looks towards him. But the rest of the time his eyes are only on her.

We say or goodbyes and head out to go back to our hotel to do a "vlive". Who knows what this night will hold...
