Since Bucky had moved into Avengers towers he was doing his best to please Steve and do his best to adapt, but it was clearly boring for the poor guy. Steve had passed on his list (not that he had completed everything on it) and told Bucky to complete everything on it. He did help him whenever he was around but he still had missions, and seen as Bucky was a lot better now, he had no reason to stay behind.

Today Steve was on a mission, so Bucky was sat in the living room reading some book Steve had offered him. Although it was clear Bucky had no enjoyment from this, he felt as though he owed Steve, so would walk across hot coals for the man. Steve didn't mean to push his best friend, but he could be slightly overbearing without meaning to.

As you walked into the living room, Bucky looked relatively grumpy. You hadn't spoken frequently, but you were civil, which was a good step in the right direction.

"Hello Bucky," you smiled, "what are you doing?"

He looked up from the book and smiled softly, "just reading."

"Doesn't look interesting," you stated.

"Not really."

You gave him a pitiful look, before an idea crept into your mind.

"I just polished the kitchen floors," you grinned.

He seemed confused by your statement.

"Congratulations?" He said quizzically.

"Do you own fluffy socks?"

"Fluffy socks?"

Why would he own fluffy socks? He was an ex-assassin that rarely left the tower. There was no way he could buy them for himself, and it probably wasn't at the top of Steve's list.

"I'll be right back," you stated.

With that you ran up to your room and grabbed two pairs of your fluffy socks. It would probably be a problem due to his feet likely being a lot larger than yours but the socks were elasticated so it probably would be fine.

Going back to Bucky, he still seemed confused as to what you had been talking about seen as none of it really linked together.

"Put these on," you stated throwing the pink socks at him.

"Why?" He asked.

You gave him a warning look. He went to argue but used his better judgement and did as you told him to. You sat down next to him, changing your socks too.

"Why am I wearing these?" He questioned.

"Follow me, and you'll find out," you stated standing up.

"I don't think I want to," he said hesitantly.

You stuck your hand out to him.

"Either come with me willingly, or I will drag you there. And don't question my ability to do that, because believe me I will get you there even if it kills me," you frowned.

He seemed confused for a moment, before he took your hand and allowed you to lead him into the kitchen.

"Why are we in the kitchen?" he asked.

"You ask a lot of questions," you said nonchalantly.

"Sorry."

"It's okay. We are going to slide on the floor," you smiled mischievously.

"We are what?"

You didn't respond to him, instead letting go of his hand, and running slightly before letting yourself slide across the flooring. You gestured for him to follow but he shook his head.

Rolling your eyes, you slid back towards him.

"Come on Bucky, it's fun," you smiled.

"I'm fine," he stated.

"You fought in a war and went through everything you did, but you're scared of laminate flooring?" You chuckled.

"I'm not scared. Why would you think I'm scared?" He said gruffly.

Without allowing him to hesitate again, you took hold of both of his hands, pulling him onto the kitchen floor, forcing him to slide with you. He let out a shocked noise, flailing around quite a bit. Due to his shocked expression, you began to laugh, which made you lose focus. With the lack of focus, your foot slid out from below you forcing you backwards.

Bucky moved his hands to grab your torso, but in doing so also lost balance.

The two of you fell backwards, with Bucky landing on top of you but doing his best to help soften the blow of your back colliding with the floor.

"Are you okay?" He asked hovering over you, trying not to let his weight fall onto you.

"Yeah," you groaned, "Did you enjoy yourself prior to falling?"

He chuckled nodding, "Yes. However we need to work on our balance."

"Well I guess that is something we can work on."
