Usually work was something you enjoyed, it wasn't exactly relaxing, however you had done what most people always wanted to do, found the perfect job in which you could do what you loved. The only problem with that was the fact that you now linked the new-found stress of your work to the one thing you had always loved to do.

It was rare that you ever wanted to come home from work, you'd have lived at your office if you got the chance, but you didn't as you loved your husband more than anything in the world. However today you were relieved to leave work, but you didn't have the normal excitement you felt about coming home to see your husband. It wasn't that you dreaded getting to see the man, you just didn't feel anything positive from such a lousy hard day.

As soon as you walked through the front door, you slammed it behind you, dropping you bag with force onto the floor.

Throwing off your coat, you were joined in the main hallway by your husband who's smile dropped as he saw your sour face.

"Are you okay Love?" He asked softly.

"Bad day," you said gruffly.

Clint gave you a sympathetic smile taking a step towards you, wrapping his arms around you in a tight embrace. He leaned forward so he could kiss your forehead, holding you close to him. Although by no means did it save you from any of the stress you had been through during the day, however it did make you feel somewhat better. It washed away some of the pain you felt, giving you a chance to just melt into his arms and try to pretend there wasn't a single care in the world.

"Thank you," you whispered into his chest.

"I haven't done anything," he laughed loosening his grip slightly as he brought one hand to raise your chin so you could look at him.

Your smile was weak, and you felt slightly better about what had happened during the day seen as your husband was there to try to make you feel better, but the weight of the day still held you down.

"Just being here," you whispered.

He chuckled pecking your lips, leaving his hand to linger on your cheek.

"I'm always here for you Love. That's what we said in our vows, and I plan to stick by it," he grinned.

You bit down on your lower lip slightly trying to hold back your smile. This was exactly why you married Clint. He was just so perfect.

"And I know how to make it all feel a bit better. We are going to get changed into some comfy pyjamas, grab some blankets for the couch and watch your favourite movie. And to make it extra special we'll order from your favourite pizza place," he smiled warmly.

Even though it was a fairly simple idea for a date, you couldn't have been happier. Just cuddling up on the sofa and eating pizza was your favourite thing to do.
