You hadn't known Erik for long, you only met him when Charles asked you to come and help him along with Raven, Hank and a couple of other new kids.

Erik was an alright guy; it wasn't like he had ever given you a reason to think otherwise of him.

Despite not having known him for a long period of time, you knew Erik well and you spoke quite often.

The conversation between the two of you rarely went quiet, there was always something else to talk about and that's what you enjoyed, it didn't matter what the topic was but the conversation just kept flowing.

You had decided to hole up in your room for the majority of the day. You weren't feeling very well, and it seemed like the best decision to keep to yourself and rest for as long as you were able.

Curled up in bed, reading your book was how you had spent your time and it wasn't all that bad – it was quite relaxing, spending the time to go into a different world in your mind, where the book wanted to take you.

Your reading was interrupted by a knock on your door, so you sat up in bed and placed your bookmark in the book to save your page.

"Come in" you called and the door opened to reveal Erik, who frowned when he saw the rather large amounts of tissues that were surrounding you, and the discarded hot water bottle at the foot of your bed.

He made his way over to your bed, and hesitantly sat on the edge of it "Is this why you haven't been out all day?" he asked softly, clearly unsure whether or not he should talk quietly in case you had a headache.

You smiled slightly and nodded your head "Yeah, I just felt like I needed to rest a little and not push myself" you explained.

Erik gently took your hand in his, rubbing the back of your hand with his thumb "I was worried, no one had seen you since last night" he told you which caused you to blush slightly.

"Well I am okay, just a tad under the weather" you reassured him, as best you could whilst still being truthful

Erik sighed and continued to hold your hand, "I guess I just wanted to come and see that you were okay, I didn't want you to be in here, not having anyone to help you if you needed it" he still spoke in a soft tone, which caused you to smile at him.

"I would offer for you to stay, but I wouldn't want to risk you getting ill" you stated but Erik shook his head, with a ghost of a smile on his face.

He motioned for you to lay down, and then hesitantly took the spot next to you but relaxed once you didn't move away "I'll keep you company whilst you're ill Y/N"
