You hated being awoken in the morning, however at least today it wasn't a completely unpleasant ordeal in being woken up. Rather than someone aggressively shaking you awake which had happened on too many occasions due to how stubborn you were when it came to get out of bed. This morning your shoulder was being lightly shook, forcing you to slowly raise your eyelids to seem whom was disturbing your peaceful slumber.

The sunlight was streaming in through the slightly parted curtains of your bedroom illuminating the reddish-brown hair of Erik who was leaning slightly over you.

Although you weren't happy to have your sleep cut short, you couldn't help but smile at the man you loved ever so dearly.

"Come on Love," he smiled softly resting his hand on your shoulder.

You latched onto the quilt, pulling it as close to you as possible as though it was what was holding on to your life force. Your eyes slammed shut, hoping that it would make Erik vanish or even better he would magically teleport under the covers to cuddle you and not make you face the world.

"It is time to get up, my dear," he whispered, lightly rubbing your shoulder again.

The only way you responded to him was with an annoyed grunt, simply wanting to fall back into the land of dreams you were ever so fond of. Your features scrunched up as you attempted to snuggle closer into the mattress and covers.

A deep chuckle rumbled through him as his hand moved from your shoulder to cup your cheek. Seen as your eyes were closed you couldn't see what he was doing, not until his lips were pressed lightly to yours.

"The day awaits," he smiled, his breath tickling your lips due to how close in proximity he still was.

As you weren't ready to budge yet, he moved in again to kiss you, this time it was much more noticeable that Erik had his newly grown facial hair. You hadn't quite gotten used to it, meaning you couldn't help the small giggle that escaped your lips due to the hair feeling peculiar against your chin.

Your opened your eyes slightly to look at him, so that you could guide your fingers to run across the hair on his face.

"What is so funny Love?" he questioned.

"I cannot get used to your beard. It is so weird," you stated before snorting with laughter. "That rhymed."

"You are very odd woman; however, I love you very much," he said warmly. "Would you like me to shave?"

You shook your head at him. "I love you too Erik, and I shall learn to love your beard, it does make you look rather charming, more so than usual."

He kissed you once more.
