You hadn't known Logan for that long – you had known him for about as long as your husband had known him.

You were married to the one and only Remy LeBeau. When Logan had walked into the bar and began to interrogate Remy, you were right there with him and unknown to Logan, you had abilities also.

Remy and Logan weren't exactly the best of friends, but they got along and Logan had decided to invite you and Remy up to his and Kayla's cabin for the weekend.

You had never met Kayla before, despite Remy having met her multiple times.

From what you had heard of her, however, was all good things so you were looking forward to being able to get to know her.

You had just arrived, and you saw Logan standing at the door with, who you presumed to be, Kayla under his arm.

The two of them walked down to where Remy had parked the car. Remy quickly got out and came around to open your door, before going to grab your bags from the backseat.

Logan smiled at you, and hugged you briefly "Hey Y/N. How've you been holding up?" he quizzed with a ghost of a smile on his face.

"I've been good Howlett. What about you? What's life like out of the city?" you asked, amusement laced within your tone.

Logan chuckled and looked down at Kayla "Life here is real good" he answered and Kayla smiled up at him, "I'll leave you two girls to it" he told you, walking over to Remy and shaking his hand.

Kayla smiled at you "It's nice to finally meet the girl Remy always talks about" she said as she pulled you into a tight hug.

"It's great to meet you too. I can tell Logan really loves you" you told her, causing her to blush.

Kayla looked over at the cabin and then back to you "Shall we go and get a cuppa?" she asked as she began to walk backwards slightly.

You nodded in agreement and walked up to the cabin with her, the two of you went inside and Kayla made two cups of coffee for the two of you.

She picked one of them up and handed it to you "Here you go, I hope it's okay" she said as you took it from her.

You smiled reassuringly "I'm sure it will be" you commented. You walked over to the front door, "I've got to say, the view is amazing from up here" you stated as you leant against the doorframe with a mug in your hand.

Kayla giggled and came to stand by you "I like it up here – it's peaceful" she took a sip of her coffee as she spoke "Peace and quiet isn't exactly something we get a lot of the time" she explained.

You shook your head, "It really isn't. sometimes I wish we could just get away from it all, hole up somewhere and forget about all of the horrible things that have happened to us and the horrible things we have done" you sighed whilst you talked.

Kayla looked over at you with a knowing expression on her face "You want to settle down, don't you?" she asked.

You sighed again, looking out to where your husband and Logan were talking "We need to now" you moved your free hand to rest on your stomach.
