It was strange to move away from an area, but then go back years later and still have such an in-depth memory of the place.

You loved New Orleans and always had – it wasn't your choice to move away but you had no option.

As soon as you were able to, you moved back to the exact same place you grew up and it was the best choice you had made in a long time.

You didn't even have a clue if half the people you knew back then still lived there, but you wanted to find out.

It had only been a couple of weeks since you got back into town and yet, even on your first day back, you still knew the roads like the back of your hand.

You'd made the decision to go out for the day, walking around and seeing what had changed.

Everywhere you looked, you knew that you had a memory there.

It was a strange but nice feeling.

Whilst you were walking, everything would come back and you found yourself smiling for no reason at all.

"So, the rumours were true," a voice spoke from behind you, causing you to jump almost a foot into the air.

You turned around, to see the one guy you had never forgotten about after you moved.

"Never knew it was possible for you to get more beautiful," he complimented you.

"It's called growing up LeBeau. You should try it some time."

He gasped, placing his free hand over his heart whilst pretending to be hurt. "However, many years later and you still manage to wound me Y/L/N."

You laughed as he came towards you and wrapped you up in a hug.

"What made you come back? Miss me that much?"

"I never missed you and your trickery Rem. But the place where I grew up, difficult to forget."

He chucked before letting you go, and beginning to twirl his staff around.

"Careful with that thing. You're going to poke someone's eye out."

"You really haven't changed, have you?" he mused to himself.

You shrugged, but then began to continue your walk. "Oh, I have changed plenty Remy, but the question is – are you willing to stick around to find out?"

Hearing the footsteps come to catch you up, a smile made its way onto your face.

"How about that drink you never got to buy me?"

"We were eight!"

"And I missed out on a juice box. So, come on LeBeau, you owe me."

Remy laughed, flinging his arm around your shoulder. "Then you owe me that date we never went on."
