Never did you imagine you would be living in what was once Stark Towers. No matter who you were, it was impossible to not know who Tony Stark was, and the famous building he called home. No one would have thought it'd become the Avengers Tower, home to not only Iron Man but the worlds strongest heroes who were fighting to protect Earth from not only the dangers here but within the universe.

It was also unexpected that you would be considered an Avenger, even if you weren't allowed to fight in the field with the others yet. Since you were a child, you had always been considered odd. Not just a bit geeky or not into fashion, you were far weirder than the average odd students you went to school with.

It all started in Year three, when you were handing in your work to your teacher and with a sneeze you shot the water from her glass across the room, expanding the volume of it to soak the whole room. After that other odd things happened. Once when you were ten you had been sat at home (having been home schooled from that incident) on a rainy day, staring out of the window, when the raindrops started to rise from the floor back up into the clouds.

Those were only the beginning of the stuff you had found out you could do, soon falling into a rut of being terrified of hurting others after you made the orange juice at the supermarket explode. However, one day a woman named Natasha turned up at your door and offered you a place helping them. You had a power, and once you could control it you would be powerful. It'd take time, but she said that they wanted to train you and you were beyond excited to not be considered a monster but rather gifted.

Having been a legal adult only a couple of years ago, you were happy to follow her to America to join her team, even if your parents were apprehensive about the matter.

There you met the avengers. They were different to what you had seen on TV and soon befriended Wanda as she was the only one near to your age. She was gifted to, in a different manner to you, but nevertheless you were both unable to completely control your powers so were training constantly.

Wanda and you were sent down to the training room to practice early in the morning. Buckets of water were lined up on the floor as you could manipulate water but couldn't form it. As you did every day, you took turns alternating practice, today with you going first.

Using both hands, you raised the water from the buckets, getting ready to propel it towards the target on the other side of the room. You held the water in the air for a moment, pausing to make sure all of your focus was on the water before you. You moved your hands as though you were going to push something and used all of your focus to press the water forward.

The water didn't move forward, instead falling to the floor. Instead you were shot straight backwards, hitting the padded wall with a loud thud.

You slid down the wall. All you could hear was Wanda's laughter and footsteps as she ran to your aid. She laughed as she held a hand out to help you up.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah," you sighed. "That didn't go well."

She gave you a warm smile as she helped you up from the floor.

"You'll get there. It just takes time and work to control your mutation. It gets easier," she smiled.

"I hope so."
