You threw the album of photos off of the bed, fighting the urge to rip it apart or burn it in the heat of the uncontrollable emotion that raged through you. With the tears stinging your eyes, you hid your face in the pillow, letting out a muffled scream, not knowing how to let out the pain within you in a safe and reasonable way, your mind taking every route to insanity without reason even remotely close to you anymore. Your body flailed under the covers until your muscles ached and screamed, leaving you shaking to your sobs on the bed as the bedroom door opened.

For the past three years you had been married to Bucky, and before that you had dated for years even though it felt like you'd been together for a lifetime. You had helped him through all that he struggled with from his century of trauma and pain, whilst he was always your support for your mental struggles of depression. He couldn't fully understand how you felt, but he didn't need to, all he needed to know was how to help you and to let you know that he was there for you no matter what. When the two of you had woken up that morning, he didn't know that your mental health was going to plummet, but now he could see the struggle you were going through, and he was going to do all he could to support you through it.

"Is there a reason our wedding album is on the floor?" Bucky asked, picking up the open album from the floor.

"It's stupid," you shouted through the pillow.

"What's stupid, doll?"

You pulled the pillow from your face, revealing the smeared tears and snot that were coating your face.

"That," you huffed, pointing at the photo album. "I don't know how I roped you into that. You deserved someone that made you happy, and now you're just stuck with me."

He offered you a reassuring smile as he sat down next to you, having had this conversation with you more than once but knew that currently your brain wasn't going to take reason, not until the fog of depression had lifted.

"I'm not stuck with you. I love you, that's why I married you."

You shook your head. "No, you don't. You could never love me."

Bucky reached out a hand to you. "After all we've been through, you still don't think that I love you?"

You shook your head again.

He let out a gentle sigh. All he wanted was to be able to make you see yourself the way that he saw you but until then, he was going to do his best to make sure you knew he wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. Bucky moved further onto the bed and wrapped his arms around you, pulling you to his chest, for you to silently cry onto him.

"And that's okay," he assured you. "But I do love you, more than anything, and we're going to get through this together."
