Although you weren't actually spending the day together, it was your first Christmas in a relationship with Peter. The two of you had met at school and hit it off right away and started dating after a while of denying your emotions for one another. You were seniors in high school, but you acted like lovesick children who had one of the cutest relationships you could imagine.

It was a massive deal for you to be reaching Christmas together and whatever you decided to get one another as a present could make or break the relationship- well at least that was how it felt.

On Christmas Eve, Peter came over to your house and the two of you headed up to your bedroom, with the door open, to exchange presents and spend at least part of the festive period together. He arrived with a gift bag whilst you had a wrapped bundle on your bed waiting.

"Do you want to open yours first?" You asked, handing him the bundle.

You weren't the best at wrapping, especially if it wasn't a box so it did look like you had attacked the gift with paper and tape rather than trying to make it look pretty.

"No, open yours first," he insisted, handing you the bag.

You untied the ribbon at the top and peered into the bag, a large goofy smile curling upon your lips as you did so.

"It's my favourite book," you smiled, pulling it out of the bag.

"Look inside," he grinned.

You did as you were told and opened it to the front page and saw a personalised message to you from the author. Your eyes widened at it, amazed to have a book signed by your favourite author, let alone have your name written in their handwriting.

"How did you get this?" You squealed. "I love it, thank you so much."

Peter shrugged his shoulders, his cheeks flushing. "I asked for a favour when I was doing the internship with Tony Stark, he helped me get it."

"It's perfect."

You flung your arms around him in a tight squeeze.

As you pulled around, you felt rather bad about the present that you were giving him as it was nowhere near as nice as the one, he had gotten you.

"I'm sorry," you said softly, handing him the present. "It's really quite terrible in comparison.

Peter unwrapped the present and his eyes became wide.

"Did you knit this?"

You had spent a long time, a lot longer than you wanted to admit, on knitting Peter a scarf for Christmas. It wasn't the best thing in the world but it was made with love and several holes within them.

"Yeah," you said softly. "I know it's not too well made."

"It's amazing," he smiled, wrapping it proudly around his neck. "I can't believe you made this, it's so beautiful. I couldn't have asked for anything better."

The two of you embraced again, both happy with your presents and just being able to spend time together.
