1 what inspired the idea of your story?

What inspired me to write 'Let's pretend' was a romantic-comedy Turkish show that I watched. The main character was a businessman known for being closed off to the world; he needed to get married in order to inherit his father's company leading him to hire a woman to pretend being his girlfriend. She agrees and they live through a series of unfortunates events. I found it romantic and funny at the same time. It made me want to write it in my own way and style changing the reason behind the pretense. My story is very different, but the main idea of a fake relationship came from the show.

2 what was something you struggled with for your story ?

I've noticed there were a lot of stories on Wattpad in which the main characters pretended to be together, so I sometimes struggled in making my story unique and different from what I've read here. I still worry about the originality of my story even though it is now a complete work.

3 what has been the overall response to your story from your readers?

My readers liked the story and some of them were hooked and asked me to write a sequel, whereas others were just silent readers, making me question my writing.

4 what did you enjoy writing most of your story?

Mostly, I enjoyed writing the part where my characters would start developing feelings for each other but wouldn't admit them. They would engage in a cat & mouse game.

5 is your story a stand alone novel or a piece of a series

Let's pretend is the first book of the 'Endless love' series, but I can also be read as a standalone.

6 what would you like your readers to take away from your story?

I would like them to follow their heart no matter what. We don't choose who we fall in love with, and we can't control our feelings. So I want my readers to be true to their feelings and always 'give the heart what it wants'.

7 what's a piece of advice you would provide to another writer, when it comes to focusing on their story?

I advise them to always try their best in keeping the reader interested. Go for cliffhangers, but don't overdo it; sometimes readers want things to go smoothly. Giving them a lot of cliffhangers can become boring at some point. Whenever you hit a writer's block, don't give up. Take a break, do something you love, listen to good music or watch your favorite show or even talk to the people you love. Inspiration will find its way to you.

8 does your main character share any similarities to yourself

I feel a great connection between my main female character and I. We share the same profession and some similar traits in personality. I grew attached to her as I wrote her part

9 what's something you believe would draw in new readers

I think new readers are looking for something original, even if the main idea is common, the way the plots develops should be unique and different. Have a strong connection between characters and always make them dream of a new day and a new hope.

10 do you have any future projects?

I'm currently working on the second book of the series 'Burning hatred'. The third book of the 'Endless love' will be released after the completion of the second one. I will also focus on a short story I started way back and left aside for some reason 'Mysterious nights'
