Poppy and The Doctor are in a fire engine on their way to the hospital when Poppy's phone starts going off. She reaches into the inner pocket of her blazer and pulls it out

"Poppy? We're at the hospital, but we can't get through,"

"Look in the mirror," Poppy says simply and Amy realises she's wearing a police officer's outfit

"Ha! Uniform. Are you on your way? You're going to need a car,"

"Don't worry. As the Doctor just told me we've 'commandeered a vehicle'," Poppy puts the phone up when The Doctor presses a button and the siren goes off.

----------&----------

Poppy's phone goes off again and she answers

"Are you in?"

"Yep. But so's Prisoner Zero," Poppy doesn't hear from her for a few seconds and gets worried

"Amy? What's happening?" on the other side of the phone, Amy and Rory run into the ward and bar the doors with a broom through the handles "Amy! Tell me what's happening!"

"We're in the coma ward, but it's here. It's getting in!"

"Ask what window they're at," The Doctor tells Poppy

"What?"

"Just do it!"

"What window are you at?" Poppy says into the phone

"What, sorry?"

"Which window?" she repeats

"First floor, on the left, fourth from the end,"

Poppy hangs up and tells The Doctor what Amy told her.

"right, come on then," He helps Poppy up onto the ladder and crawls up it quickly whilst Poppy does it much carefully and enters the window a bit delayed - The Doctor was already halfway through his confrontation

"Okay. You came to this world by opening a crack in space and time. Do it again. Just leave,"

"I did not open the crack," The 'mother' tells him

"Somebody did,"

"The cracks in the skin of the universe, don't you know where they came from? You don't, do you?"

"The Doctor in the TARDIS doesn't know. Doesn't know. Doesn't know!" Prisoner zero swaps into a little girl's voice and taunts The Doctor.

"The universe is cracked. The Pandorica will open. Silence will fall," The voice goes back to normal

"Pandorica? As in...?" Poppy gets interrupted by The Doctor

"And we're off! Look at that. Look at that!" They all look up to where he's pointing. The clock says 0:00

"Yeah, I know, just a clock. Whatever. But do you know what's happening right now? In one little bedroom, my team are working. Jeff and the world. And do you know what they're doing? They're spreading the word all over the world, quantum fast. The word is out. And do you know what the word is? The word is Zero. Now, me, if I was up in the sky in a battleship, monitoring all Earth communications, I'd probably take that as a hint. And if I had a whole battle fleet surrounding the planet, I'd be able track a simple old computer virus to its source in, what, under a minute? The source, by the way, is right here," he holds up Rory's phone and Poppy tries to keep up with what The Doctor's saying. So far, she was bloody impressed.

There's a bright light outside and it shines through the windows.

"Oh! And I think they just found us!"

"The Atraxi are limited. While I'm in this form, they'll still be unable to detect me. They've tracked a phone, not me,"

"Yeah, but this is the good bit. I mean, this is my favourite bit," He turns to Poppy in excitement "Do you know what this phone is full of? Pictures of you. Every form you've learned to take, right here. And being uploaded about now. And the final score is, no TARDIS, no screwdriver, two minutes to spare. Who da man?!"

"Oh god no dear," Poppy mutters at the last sentence

"Not good, Oh, I'm never saying that again. Fine,"

"Then I shall take a new form," Prisoner Zero tells them

"Oh, stop it. You know you can't. It takes months to form that kind of psychic link,"

"And I've had years," Amy collapses and Poppy rushes to her side with The Doctor and Rory

"No! Amy? You've got to hold on. Amy? Don't sleep! You've got to stay awake, please,"

"Doctor, Poppy," they look up to where Rory was staring at where Prisoner Zero had turned into a recreation of The Doctor.

"Well, that's rubbish. Who's that supposed to be?"

"It's you," Rory and Poppy tell him

"Me? Is that what I look like?"

"Cute, right?" Poppy jokes. Well, it wasn't a joke. She somehow finds this regeneration unusually attractive.

"You don't know?"

"Busy day. Why me, though? You're linked with her. Why are you copying me?"

Young Amy comes from around a curtain and holds the duplicate's hand.

"I'm not. Poor Amy Pond. Still such a child inside. Dreaming of the magic Doctor she knows will return to save her. What a disappointment you've been,"

"No, she's dreaming about me because she can hear me," The Doctor runs back to Amy and holds her face in his hands "Amy, don't just hear me, listen. Remember the room, the room in your house you couldn't see. Remember you went inside. I tried to stop, but you did. You went in the room. You went inside. Amy, dream about what you saw,"

Prisoner Zero screams and turns back into themselves

"Jeez. I can see why you change into other people," Poppy says and Prisoner Zero hisses at her

"Well done, Prisoner Zero. A perfect impersonation of yourself,"

"Prisoner Zero is located. Prisoner Zero is restrained," The eye spaceship says

"Silence, Doctor. Silence will fall," they disappear in a rush of wind

"The sun. It's back to normal, right? That's, that's good, yeah? That means it's over," Rory was a rambling mess "Amy. Are you okay? Are you with us?"

"What happened?" Amy sits up

"He did it. The Doctor did it,"

"No, I didn't," The Doctor pats Rory's head and walks over to Poppy, typing away on Rory's phone

"What are you doing?"

"Tracking the signal back. Sorry in advance Rory,"

"About what?"

"The bill," He puts the phone to his ear "Oi, I didn't say you could go! Article fifty-seven of the Shadow Proclamation. This is a fully established level five planet, and you were going to burn it? What? Did you think no-one was watching? You lot, back here, now," he hangs up and turns to Poppy in determination "Okay, now I've done it,"

"Did he just bring them back? Did he just save the world from aliens and then bring all the aliens back again?" Rory asks as the two women follow The Doctor down the hospital corridor

"Where are you going?" The ginger asks

"The roof. No, hang on," he turns sharply into a doctor's locker room.

"What's in here?" Amy asks

"I'm saving the world - I need a decent shirt. To hell with the raggedy. Time to put on a show," he throws clothes around and starts removing his own clothing.

"You just summoned aliens back to Earth. Actual aliens, deadly aliens, aliens of death, and now you're taking your clothes off. Amy, he's taking his clothes off,"

"Turn your back if it embarrasses you," The Doctor's shirt was now off and Poppy was staring intently.

"Are you stealing clothes now? Those clothes belong to people, you know," Rory turns to Amy "Are you not going to turn your back?"

"Nope," she responds and Poppy slaps a hand to Amy's eyes and bites her lip as she enjoys the view.

----------&----------

The Doctor walks out in a new shirt with several ties draped around his neck. The Atraxi is hovering overhead.

"So, this was a good idea, was it? They were leaving!" Amy exclaims, Rory had clothes draping off his arms and Poppy was standing slightly behind The Doctor

"Leaving is good. Never coming back is better. Come on, then! The Doctor will see you now," Poppy laughs slightly at the terrible joke. The eyeball drops down to scan The Doctor

"You are not of this world,"

"No, but I've put a lot of work into it," The Doctor looks at his selection of ties. "Oh, hmm, I don't know. What do you think?" He asks Poppy

"I don't think any of them really wok with the look you've got going on dear,"

"Is this world important?" the Atraxi asks

"Important? What's that mean, important? Six billion people live here. Is that important? Here's a better question. Is this world a threat to the Atraxi? Well, come on. You're monitoring the whole planet. Is this world a threat?"

There is a projection of the world between them.

"No,"

"Are the peoples of this world guilty of any crime by the laws of the Atraxi?"

"No,"

"Okay. One more. Just one. Is this world protected? Because you're not the first lot to come here. Oh, there have been so many,"

The projection shows all the aliens who have invaded the earth

"And what you've got to ask is, what happened to them?"

It starts showing The Doctor's previous regenerations "who were always there to help me?" Companions show up next to the projections.

Finally, it stops at 10 and Donna, 11 and Poppy step through the projection cockily.

The Doctor is now in a tweed-jacket and a red bowtie

"Hello. I'm the Doctor. Basically, run,"

The eyeball zooms back to its ship and leaves, very fast.

Poppy hears a familiar noise and pulls out her key from the necklace that was around her neck. The TARDIS key was glowing and she noticed The Doctor having the same thing. They make eye contact and sprint down - Poppy lagging behind slightly.

The TARDIS is waiting for them "Okay, what have you got for me this time?" The Doctor mutters before stepping in "Look at you. Oh, you sexy thing! Look at you," he steps inside and Poppy strokes the outside door

"Hello love," once inside she stares at the brand-new console "oh Stunning, look at this," The Doctor doesn't hear her compliment the TARDIS but she does light up slightly at the companion's words

"This looks so much better," Poppy looks at all the controls "it's so much lighter! Oh my god, it's brilliant!" The Doctor pulls a lever when the two face each other and the TARDIS heads for the moon.

"Like the TARDIS, like how I look. Anyone would think you're staying," The Doctor says looking down at Poppy

"Why would you think otherwise?" The Doctor wraps his arms around her waist and Poppy puts hers around his neck "If I am staying. Which I am. We should probably y'know, do something to celebrate,"

"Really?"

"Yeah,"

"Well, since you said so," The Doctor leans down a press his lips to Poppy's. She deepens the kiss and they stay like that, slowly growing more and more passionate until The TARDIS beeps - she was already tired of the two making out by her controls "I like doing that,"

"Me too," Poppy agrees.

"We should make it a regular thing. Like an exclusive regular thing," The Doctor says quietly, trying to ask her to be his girlfriend

"Definitely,"

----------&----------

Poppy and The Doctor leave the TARDIS and realise its night in Leadworth. Amy runs out

"Sorry about us running off earlier. Brand new TARDIS. Bit exciting. Just had a quick hop to the moon and back to run her in. She's ready for the big stuff now," The Doctor pats the TARDIS lovingly and Poppy links her arm with his

"It's you. You came back,"

"Course I came back. I always come back. Something wrong with that?"

"And you kept the clothes,"

"Well, I just saved the world. The whole planet, for about the millionth time, no charge. Yeah, shoot me. I kept the clothes,"

"Including the bow tie,"

"I quite like it," Poppy says, playing with it slightly

"Yeah, it's cool. Bow ties are cool,"

"Are you two married?"

"What?" They both ask

"Well, I know Poppy's travelled with you before and you two flirt like no bodies business,"

"Not married. Just y'know..." The Doctor trails off

"Together," Poppy confirms

"Are you from another planet?"

"Yeah," The Doctor nods

"Okay,"

"So, what do you think?"

"Of what?"

"Other planets. Want to check some out?"

"What does that mean?"

"It means. Well, it means come with us,"

"Where?"

"Wherever you like,"

"All that stuff that happened. The hospital, the spaceships, Prisoner Zero..." Amy rambles

"Oh, don't worry, that's just the beginning. There's loads more,"

"Loads," Poppy confirms

"Yeah, but those things, those amazing things, all that stuff," Amy pauses for effect "That was two years ago,"

"Oops," Poppy says "I've been gone two years?"

"Yep," Amy says angrily

"I mean, you did say I just lived with you," Poppy shrugs "why would you care?"

"You're my friend!" Poppy smiles and hugs Amy tightly

"Knew it,"

"So that's..." The Doctor looks a bit sheepish

"Fourteen years!"

"Fourteen years since fish custard. Amy Pond, the girl who waited, you've waited long enough,"

"When I was a kid, you said there was a swimming pool and a library, and the swimming pool was in the library,"

"Yeah. Not sure where it's got to now. It'll turn up. So, coming?"

"No,"

"You wanted to come fourteen years ago,"

"I grew up,"

"Don't worry. I'll soon fix that," Poppy opens the TARDIS doors at The Doctor's words and Amy walks in, the other two following.

"Well? Anything you want to say? Any passing remarks? I've heard them all," The Doctor says, walking around the console as Amy starred in awe

"I'm in my nightie,"

"Much better than my first words!" Poppy laughs

"I believe they were 'this is insane'," The Doctor tells her "Then you tried to say I couldn't fly the TARDIS"

"But don't worry about the nighty thing," Poppy tells Amy "Plenty of clothes in the wardrobe,"

"And possibly a swimming pool," The Doctor adds "So, all of time and space, everything that ever happened or ever will Where do you want to start?"

"You are so sure that I'm coming,"

"Yeah, I am,"

"Why?"

"Cause you're the Scottish girl in the English village, and I know how that feels,"

"Oh, do you?"

"All these years living here, most of your life, and you've still got that accent. Yeah, you're coming,"

"Can you get me back for tomorrow morning?"

"It's a time machine. I can get you back five minutes ago.,"

"Why, what's tomorrow?" Poppy asks

"Nothing. Nothing. Just you know, stuff,"

"All right, then. Back in time for stuff," A sonic screwdriver rises from a slot in the console. Poppy's eyes widen. It looked exactly like hers which happened to still be in her bag that was on the new jump seat.

"Oh! A new one! Lovely. Thanks, dear," The Doctor thanks the TARDIS and starts using an old typewriter wired into the console.

"Why me?" Amy asks suddenly

"Why not?"

"No, seriously. You two are asking me to run away with you in the middle of the night. It's a fair question. Why me?"

"I don't know. Fun. Do I have to have a reason?"

"People always have a reason,"

"Do I look like people?"

"Yes,"

"Been knocking around on my own for a while. My choice, but I've started talking to myself all the time. It's giving me earache,"

"You're lonely. That's it? Just that?"

"Just that. Promise," The Doctor turns the monitor that showed the crack in Amy's wall away from Poppy. He didn't want her knowing the real reason.

"Okay,"

"So, are you okay, then? Because this place, sometimes it can make people feel a bit, you know,"

"I'm fine. It's just, there's a whole world in here, just like you said. It's all true. I thought. Well, I started to think that maybe you were just like a madman with a box," Amy rambles

"Amy Pond, there's something you'd better understand about me, because it's important, and one day your life may depend on it. I am definitely a madman with a box,"

The Doctor runs over to the console "Goodbye Leadworth, hello everything!"

The Doctor sets theTARDIS in flight by pulling a lever dramatically. Poppy and Amy stand eitherside of him, laughing in joy. Little did they know, taking Amy Pond on boredwould change everything.
