Chapter two~Crime at Nine

I wake up the next morning and Selena decides I should go with her to meet up with the other villians tonight. As she puts her costume on I slide the amulet over my head and watch t.v till she is done. I turn into a cat and we both leap from building to building. I turn back into my human for when we get to the place. A two story house is where we are supose to meet the otherw. We walk in and I stay silent, its part of my hero/villian reputation. Harley Quinn has a daughter named Haily, Posin Ivy has a daughter named Rose and a second daughter named Lilly. Selena now posed as Catwoman has yet to introduce me when her and Harley Quinn got in a conversation. I look at the ground not really wanting to speak. "Who's that" Haily ask my mother. Catwoman replies "this is my daughter Mid-Night, she doesn't really talk alot so I doubt you can make her laugh". The grown up villians walk away and leaves me with the teenage villians. "So Mid-Night what do you like to do" Haily says. I don't say anything and look out the window. Then Rose says "Whats your most favorite flower". I know there just trying to socialize but since its still seven in the morning, I can say I'm not a morning person. I also gotta keep a reputation. Lilly wispers in a sweet tone "Maybe Cat Woman ment she is one; shy or two; has no voice". Haily says "Oh I know!!!! Knock knock". I stay silant and wait for any of them to make a stupid answer. 

"Can we at least see you face" Haily says. I pull the hood of my cloak off to reveal my red cat eyes and black hair with a red streak on my bangs. Lilly and Rose gasp shocked by the way my eyes look, Haily just stares with her mouth open. Cat Woman walks in and see's this she smiles, the other two grown ups both stare shocked. "Yea I forgot to mention she's part cat" Cat Woman says. They turn to her and say "how's she a cat of your human and this unknown father is human". I look back out the window and see a bird fly past. No please cat side don't make me chase after that bird I've got a reputation of selfcontrol and quietness I gotta keep.Luckly I didn't try to chase the bird and embarass myself. Catwoman replies "a goddess named Diana blessed her with powers and they meet every cresent moon do do some ritual or somthing". I finally think I'm not that tired anymore and I'm able to sound scary. I say darkly "not ritual, speacial missions. Also she didn't bless me she granted me powers as long as I stay loyal to her and I stay her champion". The teenagers had a scared expression on there faces but Haily quickly shook it off. Haily says "whats a champion". I reply "somone a god or goddess choses to work on theit behalf in the mortal realm". Then Lilly shudders because of my dark voice. "So your like one of those cathlic goths who warship the gods" Rose sneers. Lilly sends her a death glare trying to tell her to shut up. I snap "I'll kill you for that remark!!!! I ain't no freaking catholic you little-"!!!! Catwoman send me a death glare this time and I turn into a cat and jump out the window. 

In lightning speed I run across the street and run all the way to the crypt. Once I get there I run the the last spot where me and Diana talked and I just layed there and cryed. My tears kept going back and forth between hatred and depression. "I'm so pathetic, I'm a reject, an outcast, a freak" I mutter under my breath as I cry. "Your not any of those things Emilyn. Your stronger then you think, your powerful" a Diana's voice says inside my head. I ignore and soon I cry to myself for a few minutes . Slowly some of the candles go out and lets the room stay dim. Sleep my child, Somnus, Apollo, and I shall protest you. Diana speaks inside my mind. Thank you Diana, your always there for me. Once I say that I think about what it would be like if she were my mother. I never wanted to be alone like this and now I know that I never really was alone. I turn human and pull my amulet off. I pull my phone out of my pocket and I see twentysix texts and ten calls from selena and two calls from Bruce. I slide my phone back inside my pocket I don't really want to talk to them. 

I lay my head one a stone statue of Diana for some more suport.Diana what should I do because I don't want to go back and I want go back to prove them wrong.Stay here an rest for the night you'll figure out what to do tomarrow. I just don't know why people classify me like that, I hate it. Some times humans don't understand it but when time comes they'll underestimate you and you will win. I know you didn't belieave any of this when you found the cave and I know you don't worship us, but you still promised to help. I know but I only said yes for the adventure of looking for the stuff and because I have barely anything else to do in the spring. Yes but then after that happend you trained to fight and you asked for an appearence amulet so you can use it to help people.Yea but I'm not always helping people. I know that you helped those two boys by stealing stuff, you didn't even hurt anyone in the process of your 'adventure'. Thanks but that wouldn't restore order in this world.Yes it will because you'll save more people then you harm, you'll protect more people then  the ones you injure. So apperently I'm a hero that only is seen at mid-night. I wait but no response came so most likly she wants me to decide that for myself. I sigh and fall asleep on the foot of the statue.

I wake up and pull out my phone. Thirty-nine text from Selena, twelve calls from Selena, and five calls from Bruce. I pick my amulet up off the ground and slip it on my neak. Thank you for every thing I'm going to protect the city now. I pull the cloak hood up and walk back into city limits. I cheak the time just to make sure I'm not leaveing to early. I have to start the search in the catacombs under the cave, tonight. Just then I hear a scream and voices coming from the ally way on six street. I run into the ally to seen a man pointing a gun at three teenage girls. I'm still well hidden in the shadows so the crook hasn't seen me yet. "Give me your pearls, earings, and all of your money now! Do it before I blow a hole through that presious brain of yours" the crook says. The girls take there jewlery, and earings off scared out of there minds. I pull two ninja stars out of my cloak and wait till the crook makes his move on them. He leans forward about to take their belongings, I through the silver ninja stars, and the five ninja stars pined him to the wall. "Go home now and never speak of this night" I say darkly. The girls look around scared and confused at what just happend, then they run out of the ally way. "Who are you, you -" the crook starts but I through another ninja star and it hit his ribs. "If you learned how to read time then you'd know what my name was. Now don't be goin' after any more teens for money" I say darkly. I step out of te shadows and the crook can se my red cat eyes glowing from under my hood. 

"Wha...What are you" he stammers. I make a hissing sound and step closer to him. He struggles to pull out of the ninja stars and I say "the more you struggle the more it'll hurt". I pull a black paper out and quickly write about the crook trying to rob some teenagers. Then I sign the paper with "12:00". I place the note on the crooks chest and I pull the bloddy ninja star out of the man's ribs, I stab the ninja star over the note. I disapear into the night ready for more action. I jump across roof tops and see that there is a robbery in progress at the Gotham Central Bank. I climb through the vents so I can sneak in easier. I'm twelve but I'm only four feet and weigh only sixty pounds so I'm able to fit in small place. I crawl towards to edge of the vent and quietly open the door. I climb through and close it. I turn around and walk towards a door where the robbary is takeing place. A man walks in wearing a ski mask pointing out that her is one of the criminals. He spots me and point the gun at me, I do a flip behind him and knock him unconsions. He falls to the ground with a thud. I walk of the room to where the real crime is taking place at this very moment. I through a ninja star and the crook moves just before it hits him. When the silver star hits the wall he jumps back confused. I cheak to make sure my head it covering my face and I quickly dive through each shadow till I'm behind him. I slide a sword out from my back and it made a hissing sound. The crook turned just as I cut off his left leg. "What the-" the crook screams but stops when he see's my cat like eyes. I glare at him and slice a thin line down his shirt. Wow, toned abs shocking. I grin and kick him in the face. He drops to the ground and I take out more crooks. Once I tie all them up and hide in the shadows as the police come in.I go home and take of my amulet.
