Marinette's POV

As I stormed out of the mansion, I heard footsteps running after me. I shivered from the sudden gust of wind. Suddenly, I felt a jacket being wrapped around my shoulders. I turned my head slightly and saw Adrien standing beside me with a concerned look.

"Are you okay Princess? I'm so sorry that the father said such terrible things to you."

I leaned against his side slowly, he immediately wrapped his arm around me pulling me closer to him. "You don't need to apologize for him kitty, it's not your fault,"  I answered quietly gazing up into his beautiful green eyes.

"I never heard my father say such cruel things to anyone and I never thought, I would hear him say such things to the person I love." He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into an embrace. I returned the embrace resting my head against his chest. "You know, I love you so much Marinette. I'm so lucky to have you in my life." He spoke before kissing the top of my head.

"I love you too, Adrien. So much." I leaned my head up kissing his lips softly ending off our bittersweet night.

It's been 2 weeks since that night and the last time I saw Adrien. After that whole dinner fiasco, his father grounded him for the rest of winter break so we wouldn't be able to hang out before school started up again.

Luckily, we were able to sneak out to see each other at our patrol spot to exchange Christmas gifts during the night. His gift was a onesie I sewed him so we could have matching onesies. He had given me a silver necklace that said "Princess" on it. His father only lets him have his phone for 2 hours out of the day. Today, my plans consisted of just watching Disney movies with Alya and eating a bunch of snacks.

Chloe POV

Today, I'm finally going to apologize to Adrien. I probably held up apologizing to Adrien for as long as I could because our last encounter didn't end so well.

Flashback:"Hey Adrikins." I crooned.

"Where's Marinette?" He asked.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." I responded.

"Don't play dumb with me Chloe, I know you're at least partly of the cause of Marinette's disappearance." He snarled. I got closer to his ear and whispered.

"Yeah, I am the cause of her disappearance, but you'll never find your Princess."

I walked away before he could say anything further.

I'm embarrassed of the words I spoke to him that day. He had every right to be angry at me, yet I didn't take any his feelings into account. Before I knew it I was at the gate of his house. I pressed the button of intercom before I heard Nathalie's voice come over it.

"Oh hello, Chloe it's been awhile. Are you here to see Adrien?"

"Hi Nathalie, and yes if possible."

"Well, you may come in, Adrien is currently grounded but you may speak to his father about seeing him."

The gates opened automatically and walked until I reached the front door. Before I even touched the handle of the door, it was opened by Mr. Agreste.

He smiled, "Ah Chloe, it's so good to see you again. Come on in, it's chilly outside.

I gave a small smile back for entering the house.

"So, what brings you here...?" He asked.

"Oh, I came here to see Adrien- if that's alright with you."

"Why of course, he's up in his room. You can go on up there, I'll be in my office if you need anything."

"Thank you." I replied before making my way up to Adrien's

As I got closer to his room, I could feel my palms starting to sweat out of nervousness. It's okay Chloe-- it's just your childhood friend. Just walk up to his door, knock, and when he opens it, all you need to do is apologize. I finally made it to his door and hesitantly gave it a quick knock. I heard footsteps inside his room before his door creaked open.

His eyes widened when we met face to face, "Chloe!?" He spoke sounding shocked.

"H-Hi Adrien, can we talk?"

"Uh... sure come on in."

I entered his room following behind him and shutting the door.

"Let's sit on the couch." He suggested.

I nodded as we both sat down with the windows in our view. I turned my head slightly ready to start the long awaited conversation. "...It's been awhile since we've had a real conversation. Anyways, I just want to start off and say how sorry I am for the way I treated you and Marinette when you started dating. I had no right to interfere with your relationship. Also I wanted you to know that I accept your relationship and I'm happy for the both of you! The way I reacted to you guys was way out of hand, and I never should have done what I did. Honestly... I was-- afraid of losing you as friend because you're very dear to me and I hope you can forgive me."

He stared at me for a bit, "...Chloe, Of course I can forgive you. We've been best friends since we were little and I always saw the good in you. I'm so happy that you're becoming a better person." He spoke before pulling me into a hug.

I hugged him back before we released our hold on each other. "So how have you been these past few weeks?"

He sighed and stared at the ground before answering, "Okay, I guess..."

"Is everything okay? We can talk about it if you want."

He turned towards me, "My father found out about Marinette and I being together and wanted to me to end the relationship, and I fought him on that. Not long ago he wanted me to invite her over to dinner so he could meet her and to make a long story short: I'm not allowed to see her much these days."

"Oh my gosh..! Adrien, that's terrible! I hope your father accepts your relationship someday because you guys are really good for each other."

"Thanks, Chloe, I appreciate it."

"Anytime Adrien."

Nathaniel's POV

It was around close to eight o'clock as I exited the art store with a bag full of oil paints. I was hit with the sudden inspiration to paint but realized I was low on supplies and ran out to buy some. As I walked home, I noticed the streets were empty since it was a Sunday and most people are at home probably relaxing. It was nice to be able to get some fresh air before I coop myself back up into my room. Suddenly, three figures jumped in front of me stopping me walking any further.

"Can I help you..?" I glare at the dark figures, unable to see any of their faces thanks to the darkness of the street.

One of  figures whispers, "That him?"

"Definitely. I wouldn't mistake a tomato head like him for anyone else." A somewhat familiar voice muttered.

"Oh I'm gonna enjoy whacking this little shrimp..." The figures suddenly closed in on me.

"H-hey, what do you think you're--!" Before I knew it, one had slammed their fist into my nose, sending me tumbling backwards.

Still reeling from the blow to my nose, I try to push myself back up before getting stomped down. The shadow digs its foot into my back, "G-get off!"  I try to shout, but the other figures come around and begin to kick and stomp at my sides. As they continue their assault, the darkness begins to fade in.

"S-stop...h-help...me..! Anyone....." I manage to whimper out, before all goes dark.
