Chloe's POV

12:00am

*I can't write one song that's not about you...*

"Hmm..." Why is my phone going off? I turned my phone screen slightly to see who was calling this late at night.

 Marinette✨💙

Huh...that's weird. Marinette would never call this late unless...it's an emergency! I quickly answered the call putting the phone against my ear. "Hello?" I spoke my voice  still groggy from being awoken.

"Clo, oh my gosh- I'm so sorry to call you this late, but something really bad happened!" She replied panic evident in her voice.

"What happened Mari?" I asked worriedly.

"Nath's in the hospital, his mother just called not long ago saying he got beat up..."

I gasped, "Oh god...is he okay?!" I literally just talked with him today...what could have happened to lead to this?

"I'm not sure- but we could go see him tomorrow..."

"First thing tomorrow, I'll pick you up around 9. If that's okay?"

"That's perfect! I will be ready by then."

"Great. Thanks for calling Marinette."

"Anytime, goodnight Clo."

"Goodnight Mari." The call ended. I hope Nathy is okay...I don't think I'll be able to sleep well tonight. *Sigh* I picked up the latest book I was reading from my nightstand and continued from the chapter I left off on not forgetting to turn on my lamp.

Marinette's POV

In times of stressful situations I do what I do best:

Chloe's POV

As you could probably guess yes, I barely slept a wink last night. I passed out around 2 AM when I was near the ending of my book. As I checked my phone, I realized it was already 8:00. I slowly rolled out of bed and and made my way towards the bathroom to get ready for the day.

Flashback (yesterday afternoon): 

Hmm let me call Nathy and see what he's up to today. 

Video-calling Nathy 🥰❤️

Nath's face popped up on the screen, a smile already beaming on his face."Hi Coco!" He exclaimed.

"Hi Nathy, how is your day going?" My smile widening from hearing his voice.

"It's going good, how about you?"

"It's been fine just stuck at home."

"Same here."

"Maybe you could over and we could hangout?"  I suggested.

His smile faltered slightly, "I wish I could Coco but I have to babysit Noelle."

Noelle is Nath's adorable 2 year old sister who would I see on our daily chats from my time to time.

"Well that's okay, as long as I can talk to you."  

"I'm available anytime you need me CoCo."

  I stared directly into his eyes as I spoke, "Same goes for you Nathy, I'm here for you. Whenever you need me." 

End of Flashback

After my quick morning routine, I threw on a pair of black sweatpants and an oversized pastel purple sweater.  I grabbed my phone and wallet to put into my coat and put on a pair of boots, not forgetting the house keys. I decided to send Mari a quick message that I was on my way.

I made my way downstairs to meet up with my driver. Once I got downstairs I told the driver Marinette's address and we went on our way.

~A few minutes later~

I had the driver stop in front of Marinette's house. "I will be right back, I am going to get a friend." 

My driver nodded as I hopped out of the car and made my way to Mari's front door. I knocked and a few seconds later, Marinette opened the door. Her hair was in a messy bun, and she was wearing a light blue sweater and black jeans. Before I could say anything she pulled me into a hug, I immediately return the embrace.

"I've been worried for both you and Nathaniel since I found out." Mari spoke.

"I never thought....something like this would ever happen to anyone we know, especially Nathy."

"Yeah, it's honestly crazy..." She pulled away from the hug and gave me a small smile, "At least we get to check in on him today."

I nodded, "Yeah, you're right we should get going."

As she closed the door behind her, we both made our way back to the car and got into the backseat.

"Where to next, Ms. Chloe?" The driver asked.

"To the hospital."
