Guys a story

What time can not erase

nobody noticed the small read haired boy. nobody noticed his scruffy appearance. nobody wondered, and nobody cared. he was another street rat. a homeless, orphaned, thief. his parents had been taken into custody by the police when he was 7. with no room in the orphanages, he was but into an juvenile detention facility. later he had ran away only to be caught and put into an abusive foster family. running away again to face the challenges of the streets and the dangers of the world. five years later he still wasn't noticed, loved, or even given a second thought. Jack had grown used to this. he didn't think anyone knew he existed. until one night. a boy had come to him, offering him to take him to a place where he'd never grow up, a place where he could have friends, a family even. when Jack accepted, they had flown off together, to a new home, filled with danger, adventure, and magic. magic so strong it could leak into reality if the right person believed. he had never looked back.

~~~~ one year later, Jack is a crew member on the pirate ship the albatross. he meets a girl named Izzy and the two quickly become best friends. however, she is being haunted by her past and its almost caught up.~~~~
"Knock it off, Izz" I groaned. "You're just mad that I'm winning!" She floated, tilting her controller to the left with her car. "Oh yeah! Watch this!" I proceeded to try and make it over a jump when izzy cut me off and sent me tumbling into a ditch."What the matter with you!?!?" I yelled through my laughter. " same as you!" She retorted with a smirk. I chuckled as I took out he Mario cart game. The ship had been enchanted to adjust to want you need and want. So The Who know how many year old ship now had a PS4, flatscreen tv, the biggest book selection anywhere on the island, and all the snacks a guy could ask for. I glanced back at my friend. She was looking out my porthole, the rain splashing against the glass made it hard to see but Izzy seemed to be watching with intense interest. " what is it?" I asked. Scanning for any reactions to for a hint. "Iz, what is it??" I questioned again. "IZ! What is it?!?" She jumped and looked back at me. Her eyes were wide, filled with fear and uncertainty. "No-nothing!" She stammered " reeeaaaalllyyyy" " uh huh!" She gave a innocent smile and positioned herself away from the window but to where I couldn't see out it. Great. What are you hiding this time, stinker. I thought to myself. Izzy was known for her mysterious past, quirky ways, and position on the council. The youngest ever at that. she could figure and solve anything. With a didactic memory she could remember anything she was told, everything she saw, and everything she smelled, touched, you name it. I had always admired it, the captain had not always found it one of her best qualities.
I glared at Jack. He shrugged and turned around to finish putting the game away. Shuddering I whirled around to face the porthole, but the object had disappeared. not good. i thought to myself. that meant that it had either left, found what it was looking for, or was closing in. and to be honest, none of those options sounded real great at the moment. how did they find me.
~~later that night during watch, a ship is spotted off the right side of the ship. the alarmed is sounded, the crew rushes to their places, Izzy is nowhere to be seen~~~~
"HARD TO PORT"
"hold your fire!!"
"wait for my signal!!"
cries of the crew filled the air. nobody. NOBODY ever attacked the albatross! especially now at its peak of power. i leapt  up the steps two at a time, dodging the rest of the crew and racing across the deck at breakneck speed, slipping in the rain.
"watch it jack!" the second mate yells, shaking his fist and holding his foot that i had just stepped on.
"sorry!"
by the time i finally reach the lookout, what the captain calls 'order' has somewhat been restored. the canons are loaded, the men and women armed, and the captain at the helm. i insert my foot into the first rim of the ladder reaching up to the crows nest. deep breath. and with that i climb, one foot in front of the other, trying not to think of the height and the drop below me.
the ship is huge. over half the size of the albatross. no wonder they were confident enough to attack in the dead of night. shredded black sails hang from from three large columns of wood. canons stretch the entire length of the ship. its large black hull blending into the angry dark waves. the figure head is a woman, beautiful, yet dangerous looking. chains bind her to the front of the ship.
i can faintly make out the lettering on its side, Loreley's Agony .  ohhhhh no. i grab the rope ladder as fast as i can. shaking and sweating even in the cold rain, i make it down. as soon as my feet hit the ground i tear off to the captains cabin. she has to hear about this! slamming the door to her study i stumble in. "jack what are you doing?" Aerwyna's head pops out of her pile of papers and books. through gasps for breath i tell her. Aerwyna's eye narrow. "raise a white flag." "WHAT?!?" "you heard me." she stands and gracefully exits the still open door. without turning she says clearly. "trust me jack." captains surrendering?? i gape for a few minutes before finally making my brain respond. my head snaps up and following her i  begin to repeat her orders.
Loreley's agony reaches our side. a perfectly clear shot. all my instincts are telling me to move do SOMETHING! Aerwyna stands square shouldered and tall. all 5'8 of her. most of the crew is shuffling awkwardly or shaking in their boots. i'm one of those. planks are lowered. ropes thrown. a man climbs onto our ship. The captain of Lorelei's revenge. Aerwyna strides to meet him."You continued to fire upon us after we surrendered." She says, voice deadly still. He just laughs. "My men have ammunition? Do they not? A target? Bounty? Why shouldn't have we. Besides, we are looking for something. Something I would much rather see in my possession, or at the bottom of the sea," what's that supposed to mean? We haven't attacked this ship before, and I highly doubt we have 'something' he wants when he has everything already in the palm of his hand. He continues. " not something... rather, someone." Well thats never goo-Izzy! That's how she recognized the ship! I whirl around to look for her in the crowd. Nowhere. Panicking I fight towards the back to check below the deck, only to realize that the Lorelei's crew had already brought up everyone. No no no! I turn and fight back to the center. Just in time to hear the worst. " someone who goes by the name of izzy.." my vision is blurry. How could she not have told me?!?
