Somehow, I fell asleep when I was waiting. Icess's insistant voice echoed in my mind, forcing me to wake up.

"Black Mist, I got in!" she exclaimed.

"How? You look human, and they don't like humans."

"I went into my other form, silly!"

"What other form?"

"Hey, I'm almost here. I'll try to get past the security." Her voice went silent.

Just then, the Barians entered the place. Vector looked especially happy.

"I can't wait! Let's start now!" he urged. "Mizael, flip the switch!"

Mizael sighed and did as he was told. I felt my energy being drained, and I started struggling with all my might. It was futile, though. The Barians would not stop.

"How do you think Alit and Gilag would react to this?" Vector asked. "They would love this! A powerful, Number at the mercy of us Barians!"

"Stop getting excited, Vector," Mizael scolded. "You might hit something and stop this machine."

"Icess, hurry the fuck up!" I exclaimed, getting weaker and weaker.

"I'm almost there, hold on!" she whined.

The machine hummed as it took my sustaining energy once my attacking darkness ran out. That was when I started feeling drowsy. I knew this didn't bode well, and still I fought. My struggle became weaker than before, and my muscles refused to respond. My brain was slowing down, and my vision started to tunnel. I knew I was dying, which would leave my monster without a soul or an independent mind. I couldn't leave him like that. It would destroy him, leaving him like a mindless puppet without the evil he needs to consume his holder's mind. I breathed in deeply, trying to stay alive for as long as possible.

"Black Mist? Are you alright!?" Icess called.

I barely had any energy left. "Hurry...Icess! Hurry...hurry..."

"Black Mist! Hang in there, I'll bust down the door!"

I was unaware of the door bursting inward and a black girl figure rushing in. I heard yelling and screaming and struggles, but nothing more.
