~Ash's POV~

We were on our way back to the dorm from Gary's place. Being my stupid self, I forgot to bring an extra pair of bottoms to change into. Now I had to walk home in my soaking wet swimming trunks. Because it was late in the evening, the cold winds only made it worse.

"I-it's so c-cold..." I hugged my arms and shivered.

Misty sighed. "That's your fault for not bringing extra clothes."

I rolled my eyes. Misty was no help. "Well, I'm sorry for being forgetful."

"We're almost home, don't worry." Serena gave me a reassuring smile.

I smiled back. At least someone cared.

"Oh right! Ash and Serena, congratulations on winning earlier!" Dawn said.

"Thanks Dawn!" Serena replied.

I scratched my cheek. "Yeah, thanks!"

"You guys were the perfect pair! You two worked so well together, no wonder you two won!" May said.

My cheeks turned red. "Uh, y-yeah. Thanks, I guess."

Perfect pair, huh.

"We're here Ash! Happy now?" Misty said.

Without even bothering to answer her, I ran up to my room. I couldn't stand the cold anymore, my legs felt frozen. I quickly slipped on a brand new pair of bottoms and sighed of relief. Thank arceus.

I walked into the hallway. Serena was just about to enter her room, until she saw me.

"Hey Ash!"

"What's up?"

"Wait for us in the living room, we are going to watch a horror movie!"

A horror movie? Sweet. Horror movies were the best. I do tend to get scared whenever one of those jumpscares pop up, but it's so worth it.

"Awesome!" I jumped. "Which one are we watching?"

She looked down as she spoke. "I-I don't know. Misty is picking."

"Ah, I see."

She fiddled with her fingers and began to sweat. She looked quite worried. She didn't look to excited for the movie. Could it be... was she scared?

"Are you okay?" I asked, concerned about her.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine. It's just I don't do very well when it comes to horror movies..."

So she was scared.

"It'll be alright! We're here for you!" I gave her a thumbs up.

"Thanks." She smiled, and entered her room.

I made my way to the living room. Misty and May were already there, preparing for the movie. Misty was setting up the movie on the TV, while May was preparing the popcorn.

"So what are we watching?" I asked.

"The best horror movie of all time..." Misty held the DvD case right in front of my face. "The Conjuring!"

My eyes widen. "Awesome! I haven't seen this before, but I have heard so much about it!"

"Everyone here hasn't seen it either. Misty was the only one who had, so she decided to buy it and get us to watch it." May said.

The rest of the girls joined us. May, Iris and Dawn sat on the couch, while Serena, Misty and I sat on the floor.

"Okay, you guys ready?" Misty said, excited to get the movie going.

"Yeah!" Iris, Dawn and I replied in unision.

"Uh, y-yeah..." May gulped.

Looked like she wasn't looking forward to this movie either, just like Serena. The movie began to play on the TV. Time for a good scare.

The movie was okay at first. Nothing scary about it. Just some family moving into a new house, stuff like that. But later on into the movie, that was when things got crazy.

The six of us stared at the TV, watching the movie. Iris had the entire bowl of popcorn on her lap. She was constantly eating the popcorn as the movie went along. Misty already knew what was going to happen, so she looked at us, waiting for our reactions.

That was when the most scariest part of the movie happened. Everybody yelled in terror while that insane jumpscare flashed on the screen. I jumped in my seat, Iris accidentally tossed the bowl of popcorn into the air, Dawn covered their eyes, May buried her face into a pillow while Misty laughed at us.

Serena shouted again and grabbed onto my arm. She squeezed it tightly as she brought her face down. She was scared, and couldn't help herself. I don't think she even realized she grabbed onto my arm.

"Serena..." I brought my hand closer to comfort her and tell her it was okay, but that was when the bowl Iris tossed into the air landed right on my head.

I took my hand away from Serena and brought it up to my head as I groaned in pain. "Agghh...ow..."

Serena finally realized what she just did and quickly took her hands away as she began to blush.

Misty paused the movie. "Alright, that's enough for today. The looks on your faces tell me you guys can't take it no more." She smirked.

"T-thank you..." Serena sighed of relief.

"Yeah, I'm so done." May agreed.

"Is no one going to talk about the bowl landing right on me?!" I growled as I rubbed my head.

Iris giggled. "Haha, sorry about that. The scare made my hands fling the bowl."

I got up from the floor and swiped the popcorn that had landed around me. A few pieces even went down my shirt.

"Anyways, I'm heading to bed. Good night." I walked away.

"Night Ash!" Serena waved.

It was the next day. I was sitting in the dining room along with the rest of the girls, eating breakfast. All the pokemon were sitting on the floor, eating breakfast as well.

"I had no sleep last night." May said.

Iris tilted her head. "And why is that?"

Serena sighed. "I think I know why. The movie?"

May nodded. "Yup. That movie prevented me from getting my beauty sleep."

Misty started laughing. "Ah, the movie. That was good times. All your reactions were priceless. Ash, the bowl landing on your head, that was pretty funny."

I pouted. "Shut up."

Misty continued. "May, Iris and Dawn, your faces were hilarious. And Serena, the way you hugged Ash's arm in fear was the best I've seen!"

Serena's cheeks turned pink. "H-huh?! I-it was an accident...I couldn't control myself, it sort of just happened. A-ash! I'm sorry!"

Why was she apoligizing? Was it for taking my arm yesterday? I don't think there was a reason to be apoligizing. It wasn't her fault she was scared. Plus, I didn't mind what happened yesterday at all.

"You don't need to apoligize, it's fine, really."

She looked down, cheeks still pink. "Okay..."

I glanced over at the pokemon. Something was missing. I looked closely and figured out what. One of my pokemon was gone. It was Frogadier. I looked around me. Where could he have gone?

"Hey, have you guys seen Frogadier?" I asked the girls.

Dawn shook her head. "No, I haven't."

"That's weird." I rubbed my chin. "I swear he was there earlier."

The door creaked, and Frogadier entered the dining room. He was holding a flower in his hand. We all stared at him. What was the flower for? He walked up to Braixen and handed her the flower.

"Froga." He said as he tried to hide his blush.

"Braix!" Braixen smiled, and accepted the flower.

Yup, it's confirmed. My Frogadier has a crush on Serena's Braixen.

"Aww!" Serena squealed. "That's so cute!"

May nodded. "Yeah. Ash, your Frogadier is so sweet!"

"Heh. I guess so." I chuckled.

Misty shot up from her seat. "What the hell?! Those were the flowers from the garden! I worked so hard to keep them alive and healthy, and now it just gets plucked from the ground?!"

I gulped. Oh no. "Um...Frogadier didn't know, ehehe. Sorry about that!"

She glared at me. "Ash, your pokemon stole one of my flowers! You owe me a new one!"

I waved my hands in front of me. "O-okay! I'll get you a new one, just please don't kill me!"

She sat down back in her seat. "You better."

I sighed of relief. Once again, Misty was scary, and you wouldn't want to make her angry.

That was when my phone began to ring. I took it out of my pocket to see who it was. It was Mom. I was about to get up and move to a different room to take the call, but my finger has somehow accidentally pressed the answer button. Even worse, she ended up being on speaker.

"Hello? Ash?" She said loudly through the phone. The girls looked at me as they listened.

I violently tried to turn off the speakerphone, but my phone ended up freezing, leaving me with no choice but to leave it like that.

"Um, h-hi...mom."

"Ash! How have you been doing?"

It felt so awkward with the girls listening to our conversation.

"I-I'm doing good, why did you call?"

"Just checking on you." She replied. "Have you been changing your underwear everyday?"

Misty and Iris burst into laughter after hearing what my mom said. I could tell Serena, May and Dawn were trying their best to hold in their laughs.

My cheeks shot red. What the hell mom, why say that now?! That was so embarrassing...

"O-oh, mom I have to go. Um, I-I need to wash the dishes, so I'll talk to you later!" I hung up the phone. The girls were still laughing.

Misty smirked. "So Ash. Have you been changing your underwear?"

"Erg, shut up."

"You mom seems nice." Serena giggled.

I sighed. "I wouldn't call her nice."

Breakfast was finally over, thank arceus. I couldn't stand being at that table any longer after what just happened. As I was making my way to the living room, somebody pounces at me from behind.

"Aghh!!" I shouted. Since I watched that horror movie yesterday, I atomatically thought someone or something was going to kill me. I backed up and turned to look at that person. "Gary?!"

"Yo, Ashy!" He waved.

"What are you doing here?! How did you even get in here?!"

He pointed to the room behind him. "The dorm mother let me in."

"Gary, you can't go scaring people like that." I sighed. "What are you doing here anyways?"

He flopped down on the couch. "I just wanted to see where you lived. You have a nice place, Ashy. It's so clean and organized. Our dorm is so messy. Anyways, where are the girls? I want to see em."

I facepalmed. "Again with the girls? Gary, I swear that's all you think about."

Serena and Dawn entered the living room. Gary noticed them, and pushed me aside to get to them. "Why, hello there ladies. Remember me?"

Serena was the first to recognize him. "Gary? What are you doing here?"

"Of course, here to see you." He winked.

I rolled my eyes. I had the sudden urge to push him out the window.

"And Dawn, you are looking nice today." He said.

"Uh, thanks?" She sweat dropped.

I grabbed Gary by the back of his shirt and threw him away from them. "Can you girls please go somewhere else for now? I need to talk to Gary."

Serena and Dawn nodded. "Sure, no worries."

"Gary, can you stop? I swear you are just freaking these girls out."

He rested his hands on the back of his head. "Ehh, I can't help it. And fine, I'll stop."

"Thank you."

"Now...what video games do you have?" He examined the gaming system in front of the TV.

Video games...I haven't played one in quite awhile. I remember back when I was in Pallet Town I'd play video games all day with Gary at his house. Those were good times.

"There's a lot! C'mon let's play! Just so you know, I don't plan on losing to you!"

"Are you challenging me? Okay, you're on."

Gary and I gamed for a few hours. It was fun, I ended up winning against him quite a few times. Though, I did lose too, and all Gary would do was brag about it. But he had to leave soon, since he got a phone call from Drew. Apparently they had to go somewhere.

So now that he was gone, I was left back with the rest of the girls. I decided to spend some time on my phone while they watched some of their TV shows.

"Oh right. I forgot to say." Misty started. "Iris and I are going to go visit my mom in Santalune City tommorow, so we will be gone for the day."

"Oh, okay then." Serena replied.

"Oh, yeah! Dawn and I are going out tommorow as well! We have some important pokemon coordinator stuff to do!" May said.

"Ah, I see. Alright then. I don't have anythjng planned for tommorow, so I guess I'll just stay home then." Serena shyly looked at me with pink cheeks after realizing what was happening.

Wait, what? Why was she looking at me like that? Then I realized it. My cheeks turned a bright shade of red. I will be left alone with Serena for the entire day tommorow?!
