Hello there. It's been a few weeks since my last part updated here in this book. Now, it's another Avengers One-Shot but it focusing of Post Apocalyptic Black Widow from Marvel's What If series.

After I watched the finale of that series, I feel bad for that version of Natasha. She lost Clint, the Avengers and everyone she knew at the hands of a merged Ultron-Vision. Even though she & the Guardians of Multiverse(Captain Carter, Star-Lord T'Challa, Killmonger, Alternate Thor & Dark Dr. Strange) finally defeated Ultron-Vision and save the universe, it did not give a justice for Post Apocalyptic Black Widow despite the Watcher's questionable reasons. At least, she got her happy ending.

So that's how I got idea on my mind where Post Apocalyptic Nat was send in the climatic scene in Avengers: Endgame instead of the original. I hope you enjoyed this one.

After the Guardians of the Multiverse went back to their own worlds, only Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow stay with the Watcher.

(Post Apocalyptic Black Widow)

Watcher: Why did you not go back to your world?
Natasha: My world is gone. Everyone I knew is gone. Clint...Fury...the Avengers....were all gone. Killed by Ultron. Is this how you repay me after this?
Watcher: Sometimes, time can change unexpectedly out of nowhere. I know your pain, loss & suffering you experienced for a long time before Ultron destroyed everything you knew.
Natasha: Then why I should I believe you?
Watcher: You're not the only one had experience the same pain & loss. There are other people worlds also experienced the same thing like you.
Natasha: Then fix my world.
Watcher: I can't.

Despite this questionable reason, Natasha knew he was right. There are other people had the same like her I other worlds.

Natasha: So what now?

The Watcher think himself before about what next for Natasha.

Watcher: There was another universe where the Avengers defeated Ultron.
Natasha: A world where the Avengers defeated Ultron?
Watcher: Yes but was split apart due of the questionable loyalty between the government and themselves that led them into Civil War. Then, Thanos came with the Infinity Stones and unexpected SNAP half of the million living beings of that universe. The Avengers experience the same things like you but 5 years later, they found a solution to bring everyone back. They using a Particle Quantum Time Machine and went to the Past to collected the Infinity Stones.
Natasha: Thanos?
The Watcher: The Mad Titan more feared & dangerous than Ultron. They did collected the Stones but a great cost.
Natasha: What cost?
The Watcher: The Soul Stone. That world's of you & Clint Barton went to Vormir. But it was that world version of you sacrificed herself for a Soul Stone. A soul for a stone.

Natasha couldn't believe her other counterpart risked her life so that world's Clint and the Avengers will bring anyone back.

Natasha: Did they bring anyone back?
Watcher: At great cost, Yes. However, I felt the disturbance that the Thanos from the Past was able to time travel in the Present and attacked the Avengers Facility. Now, Captain America, Iron Man & Thor are fighting with Thanos while others were hunted down by Thanos' forces.
Natasha: I see. Take me there.
Watcher: Are you sure?
Natasha: I want to help them. I don't want to lose them again. They were my family I ever had.
Watcher: So it's that case....

The Watcher summons the portal.

Watcher: Be careful. If you died there, there's no turning back.
Natasha: I can do this and I always will.

And with that, Natasha enter the portal and give her path to redemption.

After lifting the Mjolnir, Steve Rogers give the Mad Titan a flurry of attacks with his Shield and the Mjolnir. But Thanos countered it with his large double blade that damaged his Shield before he kicked him. But before Thanos swings to end Steve, a blunt object hits him at the back of his head.

???: Hey!

Thanos turns around and saw Natasha caught the Red Guardian Shield and toss to attack. Thanos deflect it but Natasha kicked him on the face before she use the RG Shield to shield attack him and send his into the canvas.

Steve gets up and look shock when he saw Natasha in some kind of armor get-up from the Post Apocalyptic movie.

Steve: Nat??? I thought you were...
Natasha: No time, Rogers. Be on guard.

Steve want to explain but decide to listen to her as Thanos stands up and saw a new player enter the battle.

Thanos: I don't know who you are. You're not from this time.
Natasha: *ready her Shield* I don't care but I'm gonna kick your @ss!

So she & Steve double team up to attack Thanos but despite their overcoming strength, Thanos push them to the ground. Then, Thanos' massive fleet arrived to prepare an incoming attack.

Natasha: That's a large invasion fleet. Are we gonna defeat them?
Steve: We can do this. Even though I never knew you but we have to.

Just as they made their last stand, Steve heard Sam Wilson's voice in his comms which led some portals appear out of nowhere. The armies of Wakanda, Asgardians & some heroes who were dusted 5 years ago were return. As the heroes were finally assemble, Clint saw Natasha and was shocked.

Clint: Tasha? How did you?
Natasha: I have to explain later.
Tony: Am I only one seeing a ghost?
Banner: No. She's real.

They all see Thanos and his army behind him which Steve will lead their ultimate battle.

Steve: Avengers....*calls the Mjolnir on his hand*...Assemble!

They were roared to battle which Thanos too send their army to counter. The battle had began.

While the battle continue, Natasha led an all-female superheroes to attack the other enemies.

The brutal battle finally ends with Tony snaps the Infinity Stones and dusted Thanos and his army from its existence. But instead of dying, he was fell into comatose but he survived. He was treated with the help of Wakandan technology.

After the battle, Natasha found herself   facing Steve & Clint at the cabin.

Steve: So you were saying you're from another world?
Natasha: Yes.
Clint: And Ultron merged with Vision and killed us?

Natasha sadly nodded.

Steve: I don't know what to say but how did you survive?
Natasha: There was a being called the Watcher. He was observing and guarding the multiverse.
Clint: So the multiverse is real.
Natasha: Not only that but Ultron-Vision also possessed the Infinity Stones and attacked the Watcher. Because of that, he summoned me, Captain Carter, T'Challa, Killmonger & Thor to stop him.
Steve: Captain Carter? As in Peggy Carter?
Natasha: Yes. She became a Super Soldier instead of you in her world and became a female version of you. T'Challa became Star-Lord instead of Black Panther, Killmonger from another world & Thor is well...Thor.
Steve: Oh I see. So you & others defeated Ultron-Vision?
Natasha: We all did.
Clint: But why are you here?
Natasha: I lost you, Steve, Fury, the Avengers in my world at the hands of Ultron-Vision. So I asked the Watcher to send me here. I knew that your world version of me is gone.

Clint nodded sadly while Steve did the same.

Steve: Clint, can I talk with her alone?

Clint nods and left them alone.

Steve: Nat, I...I...
Natasha: Steve, I knew that you in love with her but I'm not her.
Steve: I know but losing her was the most painful experience I felt since Peggy's passing. I don't how to heal my pain.

Natasha look at Steve's painful face that she decided to hug him. Steve reacted this but he hugged her back. They let go of the hug.

Steve: Thank you.
Natasha: I have to go. *smiles* It's nice to meet you in another time, Steve.
Steve: *smiles* You too, Nat.

After this, Natasha says goodbye to Steve & Clint as she walked away where the portal appears and she entered where the Watcher was.

Natasha: So what do you want?
Watcher: I saw what happened. It supposedly the death of Iron Man just as Dr. Strange predicted but fate has other plans. You change the timeline when you involved but I saw terrible things happened after Thanos.
Natasha: What???

The Watcher show several portals revealing Wanda turns Westview into her own show before becoming Scarlet Witch, a fight between Sam & Bucky against John Walker for the Star Shield, some mysterious figures led an unknown battle & a man in a Spider suit was hunted down by both government and villains from other dimensions.

Natasha: This can't be. I thought it changes.
Watcher: Yes but Captain Rogers made a decision to stay in the Past to be with Peggy Carter in the end.

Natasha look down as tears began to fall.

Watcher: You're in love with him?
Natasha: I...I can't believe it...Steve....
Watcher: Then, you will choose to go back to your world or you stay there. There's no turning back.

Natasha closes her eyes and made a decision.

Natasha: I have to go...with him.
Watcher: Then, you words is my command.

The Watcher summon the portal and Natasha enter to go back on that timeline.

~Later~

When she arrived on the place where Quantum Machine was where Steve were sent back to return the Stones. She asked Sam and a surprise Bucky about Steve. Sam sadly replied that Steve is staying on the Past and met him as an Old Man.

Natasha couldn't believe it. It was too late. She run off and headed on the bench where Sam met Old Man Steve was but he wasn't there anymore. She clenched her fists and falls on the floor. She let out all of emotions that she was too late to confess her feelings to him.

Natasha: Steve....I shouldn't left you. I...love you....

As she sit on the bench and continue to cry, a person approaches to her and give her a handkerchief. She saw it and accept this as she wipes away her tears. Then, the person began  to speak.

???: Are you all right?

Natasha stops crying when she heard a familiar voice. She looks up and it was Steve himself.

Natasha: Steve...I thought...
Steve: I have to stay there but....I remembered your words. When I went to Vormir to exchange the Soul Stone to bring our Nat but sadly, it didn't happened. Because of you, I decide to stay here. Why are you coming back?
Natasha: *wipes away her tears and smiles* To see you again. Steve, I...
Steve: *smiles* Shh. I know, Natasha. I know.

Natasha smiles and the two share their kiss. They broke the kiss and look each other's eyes.

Steve: I thought you gonna go back.
Natasha: *smiles* No. I think I'm gonna stay here and be with you.

Steve smiles and the two return their kiss. Unknown to them, the Watcher saw this and monologue himself about this.

Watcher: After some years of pain, loss and suffering, the two broken, lost souls found themselves each other to heal their broken pains and felt something that can cherish their happiness. It was Love. And with love, there is still hope for them and even the dark times, hope cuts through it and endured them for the better future.

The Watcher vanishes while Steve & Natasha walked together as they holding their hands to start a new and better life.

AND DONE! I send What If version of Natasha/Black Widow to Endgame instead of Canon ending from the series with a better happy ending.
