Background
Hope was born in the Netherlands but moved to England shortly after she was born. At the age of 3, her family moved here to get better work opportunities. During this time, her mother was pregnant with her second child. The pregnancy was a difficult one, and there came a time when the family prepared for the worst. However, Hope was optimistic and after her healthy baby sister was born, her family started to call her by her nickname and middle name, 'Hope' more. This name stuck and she eventually got her name legally changed to Hope. Her family were very poor and struggled to provide for their children. Hope got into her first relationship when she was 16, and after 3 months of dating, she fell pregnant with twins. The father was not ready for this commitment and expressed his sadness at having to break up with her. Hope gave birth to healthy twins Freya and Gwen. Hope worked extremely hard and worked her way up to the intellectual district. She regularly sent her parents money, which they greatly appreciated. She is proud to say that she was born in the undesirables district. They continued to tell her that she was their hope. When her younger sister Belle turned 16, she moved in with Hope and her twins. It was around this time that the father of Hope's children had come back into her life. Up until this point, Hope had been in a few short lived relationships, the longest one being with a young woman she worked with and had known since childhood. Her ex had fathered a 5 year old boy called Aris. After 2 years of dating, Hope adopted his son and gotten engaged. She set a date with him to get married. A week before their wedding, he fell ill and succumbed to the virus. Heartbroken, Hope wouldn't talk to anyone for a month. After seeing that her children were suffering too, she started to behave more like her old self. Despite still being a kind hearted person, Hope had shut herself off to the idea of love.
