Something was wrong. Peter was holding his shield at an odd angle, Edmund was leaning over the shoulder of that arm like a doctor would, and Caspian kept giving the Telmarine army once-overs as if trying to count each soldier in their place. You shared a glance with Glenstorm and the centaur's expression confirmed your worries- this was a much graver fight than most of your allies had anticipated, including yourself.

"Keep smiling."

Peter nodded to Edmund and turned toward the Narnians, raising his sword as he forced a grin, while Caspian didn't even muster a smile and only watched worriedly for the return of Lucy and Susan. You stepped up and laid a hand each on one of Peter and Caspian's arms, trying to reassure them with the gesture and the belief in your gaze.

"We are stronger than they know. Every living being behind you has their utmost faith in you- let that be your strength if you can't find it in yourself."

Peter nodded gratefully and looked back to the battlefield as Miraz stood up, turning away the offered helmet from one of his advisors (or something, you couldn't tell and didn't much care either way). Turning to Caspian, you offered a small smile along with the pat on his arm and assured him;

"Lucy and Susan are two of the toughest people I have ever known. They are safe, mark my words, and they will return."

He flashed a slightly-heartened smile in return and you stepped back once more, glad you'd been able to raise their spirits, even if it was only the smallest bit.
