??? P.O.V.
Well that was refreshing. There's nothing like hunting for food at night. Me and my team go back to our makeshift base for the night. It's inside a big tree, whose inside was already hollow. When I arrived at our makeshift base, I saw something in my coat. I shushed Baiu and Midare. I approached the suspicious lump cautiously. I unraveled my coat and was astounded by what I found inside.

There is a little blonde girl in a candy dress. She looks around 3 years old.  Midare and Baiu both come closer to take a look. "She is so cute!" Crooned Baiu. Midare nodded wholeheartedly in agreement. "I do think she looks cute, but why is she in a dangerous place like this? Is she a contestant?" I ask them. "Ya I am a contestant." I hear  a small voice say. I turn around to find that the kid has woken up. "My names Lucy and I'm from team 7. Nice to meet you Team Shigure."

'Hmp we so famous that even little kids know us! We are going to pass this exam. I mean why wouldn't we. We are so strong that we could beat anyone.' I am snapped out of my thoughts when I hear a grumbling sound. " I'm hungry~" whined Lucy. I hate when people whine but she just looks adorable. "Hey Baiu, cook something for the kid." I yell. "Right away, sir" he responds and starts cooking with the meat we got.

Lucy P.O.V.
The food was ready and we sat down to eat. We chatted idly and laughed together. An important question came to mind so I asked " Hey, what type of scroll do you have?
I have a heavens scroll." Midare responded " We have a heavens scroll too. By the way, why did you separate from your team? Did something happen?" I looked at them straight in the eyes and told them why. They nodded in acknowledgment. Ar the same time. I burst out laughing because they reminded me of three kittens nodding simultaneously.

"What's so funny?" asks Baiu, confused. "It's nothing" I say, but still keep laughing. " I feel like I just swallowed a rock." said Baiu. The others agreed but they just brushed it off. When we finished our meal, we decide to go to sleep. They sleep on the ground while I sleep in Shigure's coat. My last thought before slumber was 'I hope my team is ok'.

Shigure P.O.V.

Baiu and Midare wake me up saying they saw someone near here with an earth scroll. " Baiu hold Lucy. Midare, cut a peace of cloth off of my coat and create a pocket inside my coat where we can hold Lucy." Midare got to wok at sewing a pocket inside my coat. For some reason he always carry thread around. I do a check to see if I have everything. Kunai, needles, oxygen tanks, scroll check. I've got everything. Midare handed me my coat and Baiu put Lucy inside. We're ready to go.

After an hour of searching Baiu says "It's them, the team with the Earth scroll, they look easy to take down. They're just a bunch of lousy kids." Midare smirks and confidently says " We will beat those punks and get a scroll in no time! They're easy prey! And then we can go to the tower and relax while playing with Lucy." I agree with them. I have known Lucy for such a small amount of time but I already feel attached to her. She is so cute!

Gaara P.O.V.

This is so bothersome. This team has been following me around for the past hour. I'm getting so annoyed because they think they are so good at this when really, I could notice them from a mile away. They finally jump out and the biggest one says " We are Team Shigure, give us your scroll or you will regret it."   They talk about how they 'are so much stronger than us puny kids' and are starting to seriously piss me off. They try to come at me but I put the shorter two in a sand coffin and kill them.

  I trap the last one in a sand coffin but he struggles and says " Please spare me! I'll give you someone who has a scroll! Please just don't kill me!" I don't move so he starts panicking even more and says " I have a child with me. Kill her and spare me! Please!" he screams in desperation. 'Her? Child? Lucy!?!' the possibility stuck me like a bullet. He had Lucy?! I immediately let him out of the sand coffin. He landed on the ground and took something from behind his coat. " I don't care what you do to her but please, I'm begging you, spare me!" He said with tears streaming down his face like Niagara Falls.

He threw Lucy at me like she was some sort of trash. She landed on the floor with a thump. Blood started to run from her head down her dirty, muddy face. I passed her to Kankurō, at motioned for them to leave. He looked frightened as he walked away with Lucy. "Sand spikes" I muttered. Big, long spikes came out from under that bastard and he was impaled. I impaled him on the spikes three more times and then left him to bleed to death. "How dare you do that to Lucy." Were my last words to him before I left.
