You and Mark exchanged unsure glances before darting inside the cramped apartment. You heard heard a lock click behind you. Worried about betrayal, you whipped around to see that Mark had been the one to lock the door.

The look in his eyes told you everything you needed to know. It wasn't a look of fear, or paranoia, but of the fierce will to protect those he cared about.

You nodded, before jumping at a loud blast of sound coming from computer speakers.

"Crap, crap, crap! Sorry guys." An embarrassed Barry apologized, seeing everyone (except Sean) covering their ears. Sean rolled his eyes and mumbled something about everyone being wusses as Barry fumbled to get the sound right.

You took this opportunity to sit on the arm of the black leather couch and wonder what was going on.

Finally, Barry got the sound in order and sat next to Lauryn.

A news broadcast was playing. A dark haired reporter sat behind her desk, holding a stack of notecards. The text at the bottom of the screen told you the whole tale in itself.

"LA in fear; Gunshots ring freedom for murderer"

"We have received word that a woman, Bristol Ackerman, has escaped an arrest. She was taken into custody after choking another woman in the Los Angeles mall."

"Ackerman has already been a the police radar for years. Previously charged for stalking, assault, and attempt at murder, this is her fourth major offense."

"This afternoon, security took her away from the scene. She was handcuffed and arrested. However, she managed to majorly wound one officer and kill another."

'Oh no. No, please, no.' Your stomach felt like a ball of ice after hearing those last words.

"Police forces are currently dispatched all across the city in an attempt to find the fugitive. It is currently unknown if she is armed."

A picture of a woman with fading magenta hair and an absurd amount of blue eyeshadow and eyeliner flashed on screen.

"Local police forces urge you to call if you see or have any information about this fugitive."

You caught a brief glance of Lauryn touching the gauze on her neck, only to have her hand brushed down by Barry.

"If you see this woman, call the number on screen and avoid conflict at all costs. We'll continue giving full coverage as the story unfolds."

Wade was white as milk, Sean was wide eyed, Bob had his head in his hands, and Molly was on the verge of tears.

Lauryn nearly leapt off the couch and headed into her room, breathing quickly and pulling at her hair.

You looked at your feet as your head spun. Bristol was back. Bristol had killed someone. There was no doubt she was willing to do the same thing to some else.

You heard the tap filling a glass of water, and the sound of a pill bottle being shaken. Quite footsteps and a hushed male voice echoed through the otherwise silent apartment.

"Here, Lauryn. I know you've been trying to be brave, but you need to take this. No, it's not stupid. No one's judging you. You need your medica- oof- Okay, okay, you're welcome."

You closed your eyes. You were trapped. Anywhere you went, she'd go. Anywhere you hid, she'd find you.

You were completely and utterly stuck in a deadly game of tag with a crazed fangirl.

'Well, sh*t.'

I'm trying to come up with something clever for this end note but I can't, cause I'm exhausted. I wanna go to sleep, but I can't because I ate a huge bag of Dove dark chocolate-covered-cranberries and that had too much caffeine. (Anxiety disorders, why you no let me have coffee and chocolate?!)

I'm going to go to sleep now. (AKA lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, and wondering how Papyrus eats the spaghetti he makes.)

Good night/morning, catch you next chapter. See ya!
~Laury
