Viktoria's POV
I'm barely alive. It's a few minutes past seven and I'm already in the hospital, wearing apron, ready to start practice in Radiology Department. Kaya and three other friends are with me.
We are all in the same state and like ghosts we come into control room of CT. There's a X-ray technician sat inside - if I remember correctly his name is Andrew. He's very nice and like to do practice when he's there. Right now there's 50-years-old woman having test.
-Good morning - we say in chorus.
-Oh girls, you are here. Have a sit. The exam is about to end. - he said to us smiling.
We take folding chairs and sit.
Just like Mr Andrew said, the exam was done in less than 5 minutes. What is better about Computed Tomography rather than about Magnetic Resonanse Imaging is that everything is fast and one don't need to stay still for at least half an hour.
Me and Kaya come into room and help patient to get back from the table and we prepare equipment for the next exam. The rest of girls register patient and choose adequate program on the computer.
In one moment we could hear agitation in hall. Technician joins us.
-Emergency - he says.
He takes the duty so everything goes smoothly. When it's emergency it have to be done quickly so patient can be treated.
We go back to girls, to the control room. One of them is typing while the other one dictates.
-It's foreigner - she says.
-Why?
-Because his name is Kim S.E.O.K Jin - she almost spell this.
My heart starts to pace faster. It's impossible! I go to her and pull doctor's referral from her hands.
-Hey what are you doing?
I don't pay attention and read what it says.
Kim Seok Jin, born on 4th of Decemeber 1992 Gwacheon. That's correct!
I glance through lead glass to the exam room, Mr. Andrew and paramedics are preparing unconscious man for the exam. I feel anxious and it becomes hard to breathe.
Kaya noticed something is wrong and gives me questioning glance.
I indicate head toward the room and say:
-Jin.
No need to say something more, Kaya knows what I mean.
Technician goes back to us and finishes what girls started.
I take referral to my hands once again and read the rest of information.
Diagnosis: Fall. A blow to the head. Suspicion of hematoma.
And in the comments: the patient suffers from narcolepsy.
What?! I staggered. If not the Behind the scene video for I NEED U music video, in which J-Hope explains his role, I would never know what that disease is. But I did a bit of research. I can't believe in such a coincidence.
I look again at not moving Jin. I've got million thoughts in my mind and can't define my feelings. But there's one thing I'm sure of and that's I am so scared about what is about to happen. Kaja touched my shoulder and showed door. We went out to the hall.
I sat down on a chair against the wall, designed for awaiting patients. I lean elbows on my knees and hide face in hands. I didn't cry. I just felt helpnessless. I hit me I can't tell anyone I know he's in the hospital because he's here with his real name. It would immediately came to light I know his secret. But I can't stay indifferent. I'm worried about him.
-Don't worry - said Kaya. I could feel her hand on my shoulder. She was trying to cheer me up. She knew how hard it is for me.
-Let me in!
I heard someone shouting. I knew this voice. Plus that person was speaking english. I looked toward the door. I saw Jackson, Mark and one other guy. Jackson was arguing with nurse so she let him in. I assume she didn't even understand what he was saying. Mark was trying to calm him down and drag away from the door. And the last guy was walking from wall to wall thinking about something and not paying attention to surroundings.
-What are you looking at? - Kaya asked and followed my glance. - Jackson. We should ask what's happened.
-I'm not sure it's good idea.
-Why? He is Jin's friend. He for sure knows what is the matter.
-But I don't know Jin, I know Min Woo. And that person isn't being examed right now.
Kaya was thinking about what I said. She got it.
Everything is gonna come to light - that thought was stuck in my head.
-Maybe it wouldn't be that bad. You hate to lie - said Kaya
-That's right but I'm scared of not meeting Jin again.
-Don't worry in reserve. Let's go and explain it.
She rapidly stood up and helped me to stand up too. We came through glass door to the hall.
All three of them looked at us. Jackson almost choked on air when he saw us. Mark was calm. And the stranger didn't even noticed us.
-Hi, Jackson - Kaya started
I stood there with my head down. I was too shy to look them in the eyes. Although it was Jin to chose to lie I agreed and was lying just like them. I felt guilty.
-How... - Jackson started.
-We have classes - Kaya answered with her head dropped - Why are you here?
Jackson looked at Mark. He wasn't answering for some time.
-Our friend was in an accident. - Mark said and got evil eyes from Jackson.
-What exactly happened? - Kaya wasn't stepping back pretending she didn't know what is going on.
-He fainted and cut his head - said that new guy.
We all looked at him. Me and Kaya asking, Jackson as if we was about to kill him and Mark indifferently.
-Who are you? - asked Kaya
-Maciek. I live with Ji..
-Min Woo - said Jackson
-What? - asked Maciek suprised
-Alright guys, we got to the point when we need to explain something to each other.
I looked at Kaya being terrified. What is she gonna say? I touched her shoulder to get her attention. Whe our eyes met I kept saying in my head: don't tell anything and was shaking my head. I couldn't convince her.
-Victoria, speak. Sooner or later it's going to be out.
Four pairs of eyes were staring at me. I felt very uncomfortable. I didn't know how to make a sentence so they understand me.
I got elbow in my side from Kaya.
-I... because I... - I started stuttering. Everyone kept looking at me. - I know... who Min Woo... really is.
Kaya squeezed my hand giving me confidence. Jackson breathed in heavily and wide opened his eyes. The other two weren't impressed.
-I knew it from the beginning - I added, I don't know why.
Even though I felt better I still felt guilty. But what did I do wrong?
-How come? - asked Jackson exhaling.
-Victoria is BTS's fan. Do you really think she would not recognize him? - said Kaya
Jackson was watching me carefully. I wasn't sure whether he is mad at me or hates me. I could see fury in his gaze.
-Why didn't you tell anything and pretended to be the one cheated on? - Jackson was becoming more angry - You wanted to get to know him better. - now he was standing dangerously close to me. He was breathing heavily and was red from anger.
Right, he hates me. In that moment I knew he didn't understand me. I could've guessed he would react like that. If I am a fan I must be crazy fan which isn't true in my case. I don't need to be with my idol. I understand he's for every fan and I have to share. I might be too old to be crazy in love with idols and say his mine. The rest of the bitches, we say goodbye. Jackson don't see me as a normal girl with soft heart who wanted to help his friend. He sees me as a danger. What a limited guy! Or careful. Whatever. Shame turned into anger. I knew I had to explain this. I don't like misunderstandings especially if it makes me look like a bad person.
-Calm down, Jackson - Mark grabbed his hand and dragged his way, then hit back of his head. If it was different situation it would look funny, not now though. - Let the girl explain.
-Jin has his reasons to lie about his name. I get it. - I started as calm as I could - Trust me, I don't want to hurt him or use him. If I am dangerous for him, I will never meet with him again.
I lied. I wanted him to trust me. I hoped for Jackson to understand my good intentions.
Jin was out of the exam room before Jackson said anything. Exam was over. Paramedic stopped for a second to hold door when the other one was moving bed. Guys followed them without hesitation.
-Jackson - I grabbed his hand - Please let me know how he is. And I think it'd be better if we don't say Jin about everything that just happened.
He didn't say anything. He let my hand go and went to the lift.
