Jumin's POV

I sat back on the office chair in V's office and tried to call him for the sixth time. Why does this man never attends his phone. I clenched my jaw in flustration and let out a sigh, giving up my attempts to call my friend. I looked over to computer monitor to my right to check if anyone was on their way to the room I'm in and fortunately, no one was.

I smirked and went directly to MeTube in my phone and clicked on a cute cat video. I watched the video, happily but none of those cats were no match to my beautiful feline friend, Elizabeth the 3rd, when it comes in terms to beauty. I watched a couple of video to let time pass by but on the fourth video, I was interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Come in," I said, placing my phone on the table after turning it off.

"Good morning, Mr. Han," Assistant Jaehee Kang said, gloomy as usual.

"Good morning," I said. She had a bunch of papers and some files in hand.

"Luciel has news," she said in a really serious tone.

"Well, what is it?"

"He found a new group formed in Seoul," she said, placing the bunch of files on my desk.

"That's new."

"He doesn't have any proof yet but he thinks that they might be behind the recent bomb attack at the convenience store," she said, after clearing her throat.

"Right," I said. "I hope he finds who was behind that attack. So what's my schedule for the day?"

"Mr. Han, today is a day-off for everyone," she said, sadly. "Except for me, that is."

"Is there a special occasion or something?" I asked, confused.

She looks a bit surprised. "Today evening is your father's engagement party," she said with a sigh. "Don't tell me you forgot."

"I did," I said, feeling stupid. How did I forget that? "But on the bright side, I remember buying gifts for him and Glam Choi."

"The party is going to held at the banquet hall at Golden Horse Hotel at 6 p.m.," she said, while checking a file.

"Alright." I've always hated parties. Mostly because there'll be a lot of people and worst of all, women that are obsessed over me. "You're going to be there too?"

"As much as I don't wanna interrupt an event like this, I have to be there. I'm in charge of the guest list." I nodded. "And your father has told me to tell you that you can't bring Elizabeth to the party."

"Why?" I asked.

Assistant Kang shrugged. "I know, but it's Mr. Chairman's order," she said.

"Fine. Poor Elizabeth the 3rd," I said, feeling bad that I'll have to leave her alone all night. "Can she stay over at your place?"

Jaehee frowned. "But I'll be at the party," she said.

"She's going to be so lonely," I said, sadly. I hope Elizabeth the 3rd doesn't hate me for this.

"Anyway..." She handed me a red file. "This is the brief details about the cat project you mentioned yesterday and I sent the detailed version of it to your office, back in C&R." She took a green file. "This is report on the Busan attack a few days ago."

"Thank you," I said, reading the papers in the green file.

"I will take my leave," she said before leaving.

The file was really detailed for a brief version, which wasn't surprising in Assistant Kang's case. The attack killed 46 innocent people and injured 60 people and it was all because of another group. Its existence was proclaimed two months ago but they're surprisingly powerful. Seven is having a boring time (according to him) trying to get into their personal information and all and he said that their codes are really strong and secure, which is rare to find in other groups. We can't do anything right now, mainly because this is actually the least of our problem since we're in charge of Seoul.

I read all the files in an hour and let out a tired sigh.

I've always felt uncomfortable in V's office. It's too...... empty. He even never used it in the first place as he said that he didn't need it. He finds offices weird and claustrophobic and he prefers to move around that sit in one place.

I stood up from my seat and walked out of the room to clear my mind. I felt somewhat lazy and annoyed today for some unknown reason and the day can't get anymore worse. Actually, it's going to get worse tonight.

Every day was practically the same and I'm tired of the same old routine. I could start a new cat project. I think that'll cheer me up. Elizabeth the 3rd will be so glad. I miss her already.

My phone gave off and when I checked who it was, it was that stupid man I tried to call earlier. I took the call and placed my phone on my ear.

"Good morning, Jumin," V said.

"Good morning. I've been trying to call since this morning," I said, annoyed.

He chuckled. "I'm sorry. I was uh.... busy," he said.

"Oh."

"So," he said. "How are things going?"

"It's alright. Just the bomb attack we mentioned earlier."

"Today's the engagement party, huh?" V said in an amused tone.

"Unfortunately. I'd rather stay home."

V chuckled. "I would do the same," he said.

"Your father is going to attend, obviously, and I don't think he's actually interested," I said.

"He doesn't seem to be interested in anything, if you ask me," he said. "Not like I care about that."

"Hmm."

"How's Yoosung?" V asked me in a concerned tone.

"He's improving really well. Especially with knives," I said. "I heard he's learning how to make bullets today."

"That's good to know. Yeah, about the new part-time member, Tom. How 'bout him?"

"He comes frequently these days to teach Yoosung. He's quite clever for a part-time member. Can't expect anything else from Luciel's friend."

"Yeah. Could you do me a favour?"

"What is it?" I asked, leaning my back against the wall.

"Could you look after RFA while I'm gone?" he asked with a lot of hope present in his tone.

"Where are you going?"

"I... " He paused for a while and let out a sigh. "I have things to do."

"With that eye sight?" I asked, as soon he said the sentence. V remained silent. "You're always so secretive. Are you okay?"

There was only silence the other end of the line. "I'm fine, Jumin. I just...... have a lot going on in mind since-"

"Since Rika," I said, looking at my shoes. "I'm upset myself but we have to move on from what happened. Death is inevitable."

"Yeah," he said in a sad tone.

"If you ever need any help with anything...."

"Thanks, Jumin. You'd be the first person I'd go to," he said. "I should get going. Got work to do."

"Sure. Good luck with your whatever that is."

"You too." With that sentence, he ended the call.

I kept my phone back in my pocket and sighed. Why does he never tell anything to anyone and carry all the burden himself?

I continued my walk and I decided to check on Yoosung, during his training. I went to the weapon room and saw Yoosung and Seven standing on either side of Tom, who was wearing a headset, as they watched him play some sort of game on the computer.

"Grab the sword!! Grab the sword!!" Yoosung said, panicking.

"But the other person in the game is telling me not to," Tom said, worried. "I'm sorry, there are two idiots shouting at me here." He told the last part to the microphone.

"Just go!! You're playing with a noob!! Look at her armor!! It's stupid!" Seven shouted.

"I'm so sorry!! It's one of the idiots."

"Hey! Aren't you supposed to be training?" I said, angrily but they just ignored my question and continued what they were doing.

"KILL HER!! KILL HER!!" Yoosung shouted, pointing at the screen.

"I'm trying!!" Tom shouted back.

"He's gonna die," Seven said, folding his arms with a smirk.

"No, I won't!!"

Seven looked over to me and said, "Hey hey, Mr. Soon-to-be-CEO."

"Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be working?" I asked.

"Nah! I dumped 'em all to Ms. Vanderwood," he said, casually.

"Isn't she your maid?" I asked.

"That's exactly why I'm making her do all the work," he said, smiling proudly at me.

"Did you find out which group attacked the store?"

"Not yet. But Seveny has too much work to do!!" he said, pouting fakely.

"NOOOOOOOO!!!" Yoosung shouted.

"What happened?" Tom asked Yoosung.

"YOU FRIGGIN' DIED, IDIOT!!" Yoosung said, shaking Tom by grabbing the collar.

"LOLOL isn't for you, Tom. You better stick to your online dating games," Seven said, teasingly.

"Well, at least they have good quality characters and stories. I think dating games are way better than LOLOL," Tom said, annoyed.

Seven and Yoosung gasped in disbelief. "You take that back," Yoosung said, angrily.

I facepalmed and let out a sigh. "Didn't notice you there, Jumin," Yoosung said, smiling.

"Obviously," I said, rolling my eyes.

"Right, let's get back to work," Tom said, standing up from his seat. "Come on, Yoosung. I'll teach ya how to make bullets."

Yoosung groaned. "But I wanna play LOLOL," he said, sadly.

"Now, now you have to learn how things are around here. That way, you'll be a bi~g boy~" Seven teased Yoosung, patting his head.

"Don't touch me!" Yoosung said, shoving Seven's hand away.

"Well then, fun's over. I better go back home," Seven said.

"But you just got here," Tom said.

"Seung-Jun is right," Yoosung said.

"Eww!! Neighbour Tom's actually name," Seven said, faking gags. "I'm never gonna get used to that."

"Me neither," I said. "I guess it's because we call him, 'Tom' all the time."

"And I prefer to be called that," Tom said.

"I prefer to call him by his actual name," Yoosung said. "Tom is a weird name in my opinion."

"I don't think it's weird. It's a quite common name in foreign countries," I said.

"What he said," Seven said.

"Really? Weird...." Yoosung said.

"By the way, wanna get lamb skewers tonight?" Tom asked Seven.

"Nope. You go ahead. Anyway.... Defender of Justice out!!" Seven said, raising his arm while showing the peace sign as he walked towards the door.

"Bye!!" Yoosung said.

"Oh! I nearly forgot. Can I look after Elly when you're out for the engagement party?" Seven said, turning to me with excitement in his tone.

"No," I said, sternly, "and her name is Elizabeth the 3rd."

"Pretty please?" Seven asked, pouting with pleading eyes.

"Can we join you?" Yoosung said.

"Hey, it's his family party. Let them enjoy it. It's not like we wanna be around a lot of rich folks," Tom said.

"My thoughts exactly," I said to Tom.

"Oh well. That is all!! Adios, mi amigos," he said, dramatically as he left the room.

"C'mon, Yoosung," Tom said, patting his back before going to the work desk.

"I thought we bought bullets," Yoosung said.

"It's too risky. Making our own is better because that way no one will know about it," I said.

"Good point," Yoosung said. "Hey Jumin. Is Glam Choi going to be your step-mom?" Yoosung asked.

"Only if they get married."

"Can I get her autograph?" Tom asked, smiling at me. "I'm a huge fan."

"I'll try."

"Alright then," he said, walking to the table with the things required to make bullets. "C'mon, Yoosung."

"Am I going to get the bullet necklace like you guys have?" Yoosung asked.

"Of course," I said, "but you have to write your name yourself."

"I'm scared. What if I get a burn?" Yoosung said.

"I thought you liked pain," Tom teased.

"It's not like that, okay?" Yoosung protested.

I looked at my watched to check the time. 11:56 a.m.. "I better get home too."

"Aight," Tom said. "Have fun at the party."

"I hope so and thank you," I said, walking to the door.

"Goodbye," Yoosung said, waving at me with a smile.

"Goodbye," I said, before leaving the room.

Now I guess I have a huge, boring task to go through. Don't worry. It'll be over before you know it. I straightened my tie and walk out of the building and got inside Driver Kim's car and he drove me home. I hope the party won't be as horrible as I hope.
