That's all Jaide Koundé was. Her parents loved her, sure, but their son was their top priority. He was everything and she was nothing.

It wasn't even her parents' intent to make her feel that way; they tried to divide their love equally to all three of their children. However with one being a professional footballer, one being a basketballer, and the third not knowing who she was yet, it was hard to try to pay attention to them all. They usually gave it to Jules and June since they knew and were true to themselves. Jaide wished she was like her older siblings, had a talent and stuck with it. It was like with her parents being successful and their son and daughter being even better, what was there for Jaide? She felt like she would never be understood, like no one would ever get her.

⋆. 𐙚 ˚ Lamine Yamal, the prodigy of FC Barcelona.

There was no way he could fully understand Jaide, considering he was exactly what she wanted to be - successful. But in a way he knew how she felt; he wanted out of the spotlight, she wanted in. They were complete opposites, yet he understood. She wanted someone to get her and there he was, walking into her life at the perfect time.

If only the shadow wasn't used to pushing people away, maybe the prodigy would have helped her. Maybe she'd finally have someone who got her.
