I wake up to the feeling of dread looming over me. Whatever it is, I don't like it. I leave my room to see a grim look on Max's face.

"What's wrong?" I ask. Rubbing my eyes.

Max doesn't respond. Instead, he takes my hand and leads me to where a secret passage is laid. "He... he found us."

The fear that enveloped me was almost instant. "But.. but how? There is no way! We were careful!"

"Not careful enough!" Max explains. "Lea... she had some magic on her as we left, remember?" I nod, letting him continue. "Aparently, she had been unconsciously sending things to him to find us... Amori.. he is going to kill me."

I feel my eyes widen and shake my head, "NO! I won't let him kill you... I... you are the one I love, Max!!"

Max's eyes widen, "You... you love me?"

"Yes!! It has always been you. You've always been here for me. I can't imagine a life without you!!"

A big smile appeared on his lips, and he quickly placed his arms around me. "Don't worry.. I will never let my brother touch you." Before I could ask him anything, he directed me to a bookshelf. "You are the only one who can open this. It's a secret passageway... rumored to lead to a place with no known magic. We can go there and start a new life!"

I look at Max confused, "What about Lea?"

Max looks down. "Lea... she.. died."

"What!?" I ask. "When did she -"

"That's not the point, Amori! I'll explain more once you are safe. Now go!" Max exclaims.

I felt an unnerving urge come over me, and I touched the bookshelf leading into an underground room. In the room was an archway that seemed almost foreign to me.

"What... is this."

"A portal." Max quickly says. "We have been constructing this for centuries."

"We? I don't quite follow." I say, walking up to the arch.

Max, "Of course you don't, only your protectors remember. We always remind you when the time comes, unfortunately this time came too soon." Max was messing around with a few things and items. "Percy, thankfully, hasn't remembered... I hope."

"What does that even mean?"

"He was your favorite Amori, yet your most dangerous out of the concubine -"

"HOLD UP CONCUBINE?" I exclaim. "Why would I ever want a Concubine."

Max turns to me and smiles. "You just loved us too much to choose, so we chose for you." He laughs.

I am so confused, but it didn't seem to matter to Max because instantly, he pulls a level, and the portal opens up.

"So... my love... where shall we go?"
