Kai's Mansion;

Kai's POV-
I just finished my morning workout and I decided to wear my striped blue shirt that I match with grey pants.

I examined myself in the mirror.

"I always look great" I praised myself.

Well, there's nothing much that I want to do for today since I don't have any photoshoot to attend.

I walk towards my dressing table to find my watch before I proceed my steps downstairs to have my breakfast. Then, my eyes laid on a photo of a girl that I've framed. My lips automatically bid a smile when I saw the photo. I lift that photo and bring it near me. I don't know how many times do I have to examined the photo but trust me, I would never feel bored to just stare at the photo.

It's the photo of Park Aera.

My neighbour a.k.a my bestfriend and also..

The one and only girl that own my heart.

I laugh softly, "aigoo, Aera..why are you so cute?!" I spoke to myself. I remember the day that I took this photo. We were having our lunch together. Aera was so mad when she finds out that I secretly took a photo of her while she's eating. She even asked me to delete the photo but I just can't. I love to see how much Park Aera loves to eat.

I know..it's stupid for a bestfriend to fall for his bestfriend but, I really can't control my feelings towards her. Aera and I have known each other for a long time. We've become friends since we were small because our parents know each other so well. Aera and I shares everything and we grow up together. If Aera felt sad, I would feel the same too. If she's happy, then I would be happy for her. I realized that I've fall for her when we were 15 years old. I was too afraid to confess my feelings towards her because I'm scared that we might not be able to be friends again.

I let her go.

I let Taehyung take care of her for me.

I still remember, that day when Aera came to me with her delight face and she proudly said to me that Taehyung asked her to couple with him.

8 years ago;
"Kai..Aera came to see you" my mother informed to me who's having my workout at my mansion's gym.

I lift my eyebrow, "Aera?" I asked curiously. Well, it's hard to hear that Aera was searching for me. My mother nodded to answer my question, "nae..she's waiting for you at the living room, go change your clothe and meet her downstairs, it's not good to make your guest wait for you" my mother said to me.

I nodded, "nae, eomma" I answered.

After changing my clothe, I head downstairs to meet Aera. I saw her sitting on the sofa while drinking the orange juice that my maid had made for her.

"Park Aera" I called her.

She turned around and smile widely when she saw me. She stood from her seat and ran towards me. I was so shocked when suddenly I felt her hug my body tightly.

"Err..Aera? What's up with the sudden hug?" I asked.

Actually, I'm happy that she hugged me. It's been a while since the last time that Aera hugged me.

"Kai.." she called my name.

"Yes?" I asked.

She lift her head to face me.

She smile again, "Taehyung said he loves me and he wanted me to be his girlfriend!" Aera shouted happily.

I frozed.

"Tae..Taehyung asked you to be his girlfriend?" I asked for the second time. Trying to accept the reality that Aera was not meant for me.

Aera nodded, "nae..but, why don't you look happy?" she asked when she saw my gloomy face.

Of course I'm not happy, Park Aera!

I love you!

I shook my head, "I'm happy for you, of course..it's just I'm feeling a little bit exhausted after the workout" I lied.

Aera pout, "ouhh..so that's why your body smell stink!" she teased.

I laughed, "stink, huh? Aren't you the one who hugged me at first?" I asked to her.

"Okay, let me go, now..I am so happy that I can't hold my feelings and that's because I hugged you. I wanted you to feel happy too" she answered and try to break the hug.

"No, I won't let you go" I said while hugging her tightly.

She laughed, "eww..I don't wanna hug you any longer! You're stink!" she shouted.

I laughed when I saw her struggle to make me let her go.

"Come on, Aera..let me hug you, next time I can't hug you anymore" I said to her.

She lift her eyebrow, "why?" she asked.

I lift my shoulders, "cause next time, you have Taehyung to hug you so you might don't need me to hug you anymore" I answered.

She nodded, "yeah..you're right, you can't hug me after this because Taehyung might be jealous, okay..you may hug me now, for the last time" she said to me.

I bring her near to me, her face was exactly on my chest and I put my head on top of her head. I hug her tightly and not letting her go. I close my eyes, I was trying so hard for not bursting my tears in front of her. I stroke her hair, "I hope Taehyung take a good care of you and love you as much as you love him, Aera.." I whispered to her.

I have to let Aera go.

She deserves someone better than me.

She loves Taehyung and Taehyung feel the same too.

I learn something, if you love someone, you have to let them go.

You have to sacrifice your love to see them happy.

Back to reality;

I put the photo back on the dressing table. I was about to left my room but then I saw Aera opened her room's window. I smile, this is what I like the most about this mansion, I can see Aera from my room because her room's window was just infront of my room's balcony.

I walk towards my room's balcony, "yah, Park Aera!" I shouted, calling her name.

I saw her looking straight to me, "mwo?" she asked.

"Going out again?" I asked.

"Hello, Kim JongIn-ssi..I have works to do and of course I'm going out to settle my work. I'm not like you who's doing nothing" she answered.

My eyes widened, "what? Me? Doing nothing? Excuse me, Park Aera..for your information, I don't have any photoshoot for today so I don't have anything to do" I said to her.

She laugh, "nae, Kai..I know" she said to me.

Suddenly an idea popped into my mind, "Aera..do you remember the day that I snapped the picture of you while you were eating?" I asked. Try to make fun of her.

Aera nodded, "I do remember, I've told you to delete it right?" she asked curiously.

I smirk, "yes, you told me to delete it but unfortunately, I don't and I've framed the picture, wanna see it?" I asked while laughing so hard.

Aera's eyes widened, "yah, Kim JongIn! I told you to delete it right?! Why don't you delete it?!" she asked in her mad voice.

I shook, "why would I delete it? I can look at the picture if I miss you" I teased again.

Aera sigh hardly, "you..aishh, I don't wanna talk with you!" she said while taking her handbag with her.

"Eh, Aera! Wait!" I shouted.

"What again?!" she asked.

"I just want to ask if you have any date with Taehyung again?" I asked to her.

She lift her eyebrow, "why did you asked?" she asked me back.

"Well..if you don't, I want to bring you to have a lunch with me this afternoon" I answered.

"No, you can't..I have a meeting to attend" she shook her head.

I nodded, understand her work.

"Ouhh..okay" I answered while watching her walking towards her bedroom's door to quit from her bedroom.

"Kai.." suddenly I heard Aera called my name.

I lift my head to look at her, "yes?" I asked.

"I would agree if you ask me to have a lunch with you tomorrow because I'm not that busy on that day" she said to me.

I smile widely, "ouh, really?! So..why don't we go for a lunch tomorrow?" I asked for the second time.

She nodded, "okay" she answered.

I smile.

"Ouh, and Kai..one more thing" she called me again.

"Nae?" I asked.

"Please don't mention Taehyung's name to me again, we are no longer a couple, we've broke up" she said and then she quit from her room.

I frozed.

Wait..

Did I heard that Aera had broke up with Taehyung?

"Aera! Wait, Aera!" I called but no respond from her since she had quit from her bedroom.

Aera was no longer Taehyung's girlfriend?

Does it mean that I have a chance to win Aera's heart?
