"That stubborn fairy pride of theirs," Hyuka hissed immediately, as he noticed two expected passengers are absent at the agreed place. Only Taehyun and Soobin, whom the mind fairy supported, were at the lake.

It was too late, when Kai realized that he shouldn't have thrown those words like a stone at the mirror surface of Beomgyu's fragile emotions...

"Huh?"

... but he already threw them.

"I ordered Hiyyih and Hikaru to come here as well," the light fairy explained hesitantly.

"Hach... great. So that's how you know my feelings. Funny," Beomgyu laughed in sarcasm, thinking of how he had to leave his best friend with no other option.

"Maybe I was a bit of a hypocrite?" and Kai joined in on his irritated tone.

"Oh! Indeed!"

"Well, I'm sorry I had to search for you, because you couldn't wait any longer."

"Well, I'm sorry I was too worried, after waiting for a whole night," Beomgyu imitated Kai sassily.

"They didn't come anyway. Could you both stop it?" Taehyun interjected, since he couldn't listen to the approaching toxic dialog anymore.

This is not right... Huening Kai closed his eyes, returning back to his inner peace with his lips slightly apart. When his wide shoulders slumped, Beomgyu sighed as well and worriedly walked towards Taehyun and Soobin.

"What's going on with him?" his voice weakened, looking into empty sapphire eyes.

"I keep him under my hypnosis. I will need you to follow me and take him through the portal, when I give you the sign. Can you guys cooperate?"

Questioned lovers exchanged an apologizing look, then nodded embarrassed.

"Good..."

The first rays of the orange sun bent over the hills to kiss the unusually calm blue surface...

... and in that magical moment the whole four sank into the unknown.

Was I too trusting, downright naive... or too desperate?

Probably both.

Anyhow, I had a feeling that Soobin would never make such a mistake as I made... deaf-mutely listen to half truths of the malicious spirit.

It promised me the power to protect my loved ones... but forgot to mention that without them this power is useless, impassive, nay ruthless. It really showed me the way to our salvation, however, it cut my throat and threw me to the lion trap from which I could not look back at those, who should have stood by my side.

... and when my bond with Soobin was broken, it broke my sanity as well. Losing them felt like I was losing myself. The power became too great and vehement to preserve it under my skin and there was no one to keep my self in the upper hand.

You're beyond help...

I just-

I just wanted to pull them out of those flames.

Instead, you set fire to your dreams.

Where are those gracious kisses that would wipe away my grieving tears?

Too far away...

What about those sparkly eyes to tell me everything's gonna be okay?

You let them astray...

My blood had never felt so cold as now... running down my fingers, heavily dripping onto the blades of grass. Kill it...

Are you satisfied, venerable spirit? Indeed I've become your dear accomplice... a ghost being afraid of itself, because if all those shared magical moments fade into oblivion, it will be because of me and no one else but me.

What are these sacred antlers even for? They can't even reach the sky... just like our hearts could fly to the stars... together, hoping for forever.

So take it! Take back the star fire and gobble my life with the whole world as you please! Do it!

Where are you now, huh?

I bowed to the ground, holding tight the broken antler and crying my grief out. No physical pain could overcome the inner one that was tearing me apart.

Embrace...

"You must have been so lonely. I knew it took us too long..."

That smooth voice. It must have come down from heaven.

I looked up in disbelief and when I really recognized an angel in the first incoming person, I blinked away my tears.

"Kai?"

Am I dreaming? The forest became so bright.

"What are you doing, my Love?" Amor sighed and gave me his hand.

They made it. Did they really...?

I weakly grabbed it hesitant to tell the truth.

"I'm...," I swallowed the tears and sobbed, "I'm killing the monster."

Huening Kai exchanged a little bit confused look with Taehyun by his side, then they conjured up a warm smile and Hyuka kneeled down to me.

"I can still only see an enchanting brave prince I fell in love with, so... Can't we just leave the monster alive?" he chuckled softly and wiped my cheeks. A wide smile bloomed under his fingers and I felt the antlers slowly disappear, leaving behind only a tingling sensation.

"My goodness, you're really here...," palette of tears mixed with overwhelming happiness painted my expression, as I was also caressing Hyuka's face in relief.

He's here...

"We are..."

Stars twinkled in my irises and I quickly looked up at my beloved Magician. My palm gently slid down Kai's cheek, as I got up to face Taehyun...

There was no blame in his eyes. No blame, no anger... Rather it looked like he was even adorably proud.

My heart was so relieved.

We hugged tightly and I pressed my lips to his neck.

"It took me a while, but I finally found your message before it was too late," Tae whispered.

"Ahh, of course...? Of course you found it...," mumbled words tickled his skin and so he lightly pushed on my shoulders with a shy smile on his lips.

You found me.

I would search for you through the entire universes.

For a moment I got lost in his eyes... Touching each other's soul, it was truly like the joy of touching the shining stars...

"But wait-" I recoiled, quickly wiping my eyelids again, and sniffled.

"What about Soobin and Beomgyu?" I glanced from Tae to Kai and back.

"They are here too, waiting near the portal."

Phew...

"We must return with the star fire as soon as possible," the mind fairy urged.

Ahhh... I rolled my eyes to the sky, biting my knuckles and turning around... Then I met incomprehension in the eyes of my lovers.

"Except... We can't," I sighed and threw up my arms. "See that pale nearby star directly above us?"

The boys tilted their heads back to see the fading light... and I felt its fire burning in my chest again.

"It powered our dimension... But its spark that manifested our world got sick. We can't go back until we fix it."

"Then... How can we do that?"

"Well, that's the problem. I couldn't see the future without you... literally. No original prophet, no future, no clues. The destiny demands us all. That's why I'm stuck here."

"Just as the foreign entity wanted...," Taehyun sighed.

"Exactly. I found out it is a devil that wanders between worlds and feeds on the energy that is created when some of them falls apart."

"So that's why it tried to divide us," Kai nodded, as he bit his lip.

"... and practically- It's still winning," Taehyun whispered uneasy and hugged his arms.

What do you mean? I blinked kinda sadly.

"It should be easy with Beomgyu even though he's quite ruined, but honestly... I'm not sure about Soobin..."

Just like our star, my twin flame was still broken and so was our bond...

... but fortunately, unlike the star, I thought I knew how to cure us.
