Screaming in terror, Norman jumped out of the way in the nick of time. That didn't mean he was out of danger yet cuz Tiberius got ready to pounce again. Worse, the hawk was standing in front of the door. Desperate to escape, the guinea pig began to climb. Hearing and smelling him, the red tail hissed as he blindly went after his prey. Little did he know that his chain got stuck on a branch.

"I'm sorry I stepped on your tail! Maybe we can talk it out- AHH!" Norman tried to reason with Tiberius. His question ended with a scream as the old hawk almost grabbed him. Angry at this point, he shrieked as he lunged towards the guinea pig. Frightened, Norman boldly slapped his attacker across the face a second before they fell on the floor. At this point, the chain was tangled up on Tiberius and the branches. Neither one of the two animals noticed that yet.

Laying on the bone covered floor, Norman winced as he tried to get up quietly. His left shoulder felt sore from when he landed on it. Rubbing his forehead, he saw the door on the other side of the shed. In between him and the exit was Tiberius. The hawk growled silently as he listened for the guinea pig and sniffed the air. His heart pounding, Norman took a small step.

A bone snapped under his paw.

Hearing it, Tiberius screeched loudly and pounced. Jumping out of the way, Norman made a mad dash for the door. Determined to catch his prey, the old red tailed hawk chased the young guinea pig. Screaming at the top of his lungs, Norman reached the door and ran outside just as he heard a strangled yelp and a thud, followed by a rattling chain.
