Absinthe Millworth, George JR. Cooper, Sebastian Harlow, and Marley Houndsdale have been the core four of Medford, Texas since they were children. Marley and Absinthe knowing each other since diapers, Meeting Georgie at a church picnic, and meeting Sebastian in kindergarten.

The four were thick as thieves, thinking nothing could tear apart their bond, but the universe decides to test the boundaries and strength of the group by playing a cruel game of love. Freshman year of high school for the core four should have been a great experience, except they had no idea what lies ahead for them.
