~eddy~

eddy was lying on the floor, shielding his face. kicks came in from all sides, them showing him no mercy. he counted each kick to help take the pain off his mind. his body kept jolting in different directions with every kick. his body had bruises all over it- bruises were forming on his bruises. he squirmed in pain, and he felt himself coughing up blood. his stomach couldn't take and, and blood spurted from his mouth. splashes of blood were all over his clothes and on the floor around him. red littered the shoes and pants of the kids kicking him, which enraged them and hit him harder. eddy groaned in extreme pain. his mind urged to scream but blood clogged up his throat and he knew he would die.

eddy wished there was anyone around to help-to see- what was happening, but of course, it was dark and no one would be walking around the park. he felt his skin being scraped off and warm blood trickling down his arms and legs. he hear heckling and jeering, but the ringing in his ears prevented him from hearing anything.

the kicking ceased and he found himself just laying there. the grass was soft and ticklish as the wind softly blew. he listened to the rustle of the leaves and the soft chirps of crickets. he blocked out the final jeers and just listened to the wonderful world around him.

D, A, A, D, E, F, E, D, E, F,, D,, D... the music seemed familiar. eddy listened for a bit, the beautiful sounds of the violin in his ears. he relished and relaxed at the melodic sounds of the 1812 overture. that's right, it's tchaikovsky's 1812 overture. he managed to bring a small smile on his face when the music abruptly stopped.

"oh my god! are you okay? you're bleeding everywhere. don't talk, it seems like blood is coming out of your mouth," a voice said. eddy heard the violin being placed on something, and this person started... cleaning eddy's wounds? the person helped clean and bandage some of the cuts, as well as trying to treat him for any pain. eddy smiled and felt happy that someone was here, and that someone decided to help him. he appreciated the constant talking and that the person was worried about him.

the person helped eddy up and led him to the nearest place with a first aid kit. there, he got properly cleaned up and bandaged.

~???~

the person was constantly speaking with so many thoughts going through his head. he worried so badly for this boy who was so broken-this child had blood coming out of his mouth!

the person bandaged cleaned away some of the blood and bandaged some of the major wounds. he tried to not hurt the boy as much as he could. he constantly talked to make sure that everything was okay at all times and made sure he was alright. the person helped the boy up and brought him to the first aid kit, which just had to be on the other side of the park, so he had to make sure the boy was okay at all times.

the child seemed pretty okay for someone who was bleeding everywhere, so the person got worried that this happened often. he kept talking and made sure this child was okay. he quickly disinfected and bandaged all the wounds and rubbed ointment on the bruises. he kept mumbling to the boy and tried to not cause extra discomfort. the troubling thing was, not that he was bleeding everywhere, but he seemed pretty relaxed. every time the person touched a cut he apologised, but the child didn't even tense. every time he thought he pressed too hard on bruise he'd say sorry, but the child didn't seem to notice.

when the person finished cleaning up the boy, he took him back to the place he found him. he waited for a while until he felt that the boy could stand up properly and walk. "hey, what's your name?" the person asked. the boy whispered in response, "eddy." he smiled and said, "nice to meet you, eddy. i'm leslie." eddy smiled and meekly asked, "can you play the piece again?" leslie smiled and picked up his violin. he didn't need to place on the shoulder rest or tighten the bow (he was rushing to help this child) so he just started.

he continued from where he left off, the middle of the finale. eddy smiled and swayed around. leslie smiled back at him and played. he let his emotions flow through the music and let his feelings flow through. he finished and he heard eddy's soft claps.

leslie was about to pack up but he heard eddy asking to play something. leslie willingly handed eddy his violin. eddy started playing dvorak's new world symphony. he listened to how well he played, he had such good talent.

leslie clapped when eddy bowed and marvelled how such a talented boy would be hurt like this. "how old are you?" leslie asked. "eight," eddy responded. "i've been playing since i was three." leslie's jaw fell open, and quickly closed it and sent a smile. "you're so talented!" eddy smiled and blushed a bit.

eddy walked home and leslie walked with him to make sure he was safe. when they reached the outside of his door, he looked one more up at leslie and waved with a sad smile. he waved back with a kind of longing. he watched as he called for his mother and then explained everything. she was shocked but then thanked leslie so much. she took eddy inside and wished him a goodbye, and hoped to meet again.
