Lunch was fastly approaching and Alex was thrilled, hoping now that they were starting to get back to okay, maybe that would me she would sit with him and Nathan again like she used to.

Alex was hurrying through the halls when the bell rang, he made a beeline for the cafeteria, already seeing Cole and his little click there, a slight scowl crossing his face. It was no secret the two brothers had a sort of feud going on.

Alex got his food and found a table to sit at, it wasn't long until Nathan joined him, the two always sat together during lunch. 

Nathan was eating when he noticed that Alex has yet to touch his food, his eyes remaining on the entrance. "What are you waiting for?" He asked his brother curiously. "Fawn." Alex answered simply not once taking his eyes from the door.

"Ok, wait, you made up and didn't bother to tell me?!" He asked loudly in shock, a bit hurt as well. Alex finally looked towards him, "Sorry it was all so..awesome. I should have told you." He apologized, eyes going back to the door, seeing Fawn walking in with Grace and Skylar. The three friends chatting happily.

Fawn was glancing around when she locked eyes with Alex, the boy waving her over. "You're going to sit with him right?" Grace asked once she saw who the girl was looking at. "You have to, we can survive a day without you." She added not giving Fawn the chance to answer.

The brown haired girl laughed at that. "Okay, I'm glad." She teased and got towrads the end of the line which was closer to the side Cole sat on.

Fawn started towrads the table when Cole stood up and started walking towrads her, his usual smirk resting on his lips. The look still made Fawn pause and almost melt under the beautiful green-gold eyes he had but she could push all that aside when she felt only rage.

Alex got up quickly when he saw Cole moving towards her. "Hey princess." Cole said with a grin crossing his face. Fawn's face fell with disdain as she turned her face away from him. "Aww you aren't still mad, are you?" He asked with a pout, his hand going to her wrist.

She jerked away from his touch. "I wasn't mad,  I was hurt! There is a different but your just a arrogant jock..oh wait a minute, no you're not even a jock anymore. Are you...princess?"She snapped back as she started towrads Nathan and Alex, Alex walking towrads her.

Alex saw the anger that flashed in Cole's eyes so before he could reach for the girl again,  Alex but himself between them. "Don't you think you've hurt her enough?" He asked bitterly.

A slight smirk crossing Cole's face. "Why don't you mind your buisness, little brother." He commented as he went to move around him but was stopped again by Alex's hand pushing him back. "You're trying to mess with Fawn so it became my buisness."

"Aww are you protecting your girlfriend?" Cole almost hissed out the question, his eyes narrowed at him. Alex cocked his head to the side. "I'm protecting a girl who could easily kick your ass, she's my friend and you don't even deserve to call her a ex girlfriend." Alex huffed before walking away.

Once he reached the table, he wrapped his arms around Fawn, noticing the look Cole gave him. Fawn hugged him back, resting her head against his chest. "Can't I get a hug now that you are talking to Walter boys?" Nathan asked with a smile.

A small laugh left her as she pulled away from Alex to hug Nathan. "I've missed you Nat." She told him in a simple tone as she gave him a squeeze before she sat down next to Alex.

"I'm sorry about Cole." Alex apologized, reaching over and taking her hand in his own, he liked being able to touch her again after so long of being apart. "You don't have go apologize Alex, he choice his own path so he must deal with the consequences." She stated with a smile sent towrads Alex.

The bell rang, signaling the end of the school day and the bringing of the weekend. Alex ran outside to catch up with Fawn. "Hey!' He called out to her, the girl turning around once she heard his voice. "Hi." She laughed softly at that

"A week till summer." He said with a smile on his face as he reached her side, the girl nodding in agreement. "Yeah, I don't have to spend everyday in this hell." Fawn chuckled.

Alex couldn't help but smile each time she laughed, he liked the church bell sound. "So..what are you doing tomorrow?"

Fawn thought for a moment, her head tilted back and to the side. "Nothing I believe. Why?" He now had caught her intrest. 

The boy smiled a bit awkwardly as he shrugged. "I just thought maybe we could met up at our spot and hang out like we used to do." He looked over at her hopefully, he was silently willing her to agree.

A smile broke across her face. "Sounds like a plan Walter, I'll see you there." She told him as she got into Rowan's  car.

The boy watching them pull away with a smile on his face.
