Thalia is no longer a tree.

~*~

I was sitting on my bed, starring into a blank wall with no visible expression on my face. I was confused. I've tried to make some sense out of the latest events that had happened at the Half-Blood Camp, but the more I was thinking about all of this, the less sense it made.

Thalia, the daughter of Zeus, somehow happened to be alive again. Long story short, after Anabeth, Grover, Tyson and I regained the Golden Fleece and cured Thalia's tree, it kind of worked too well and other than retrieving it and the whole camp, it also brought Thalia back. How? I have no idea. To be real, none of us has, even Chiron. I mean, we're all very happy she's here but I have a bad feeling about it... It has to do something with Kronos, I can feel it in my bones.

Suddenly, Grover appeared in my room.

“She's conscious now” said Grover.

We walked out of my cabin and headed to Chiron's office. After Thalia introduced herself (which in my opinion wasn't exactly necessary), she passed out, probably from exhaustion, so we transported her somewhere safe.

“You think she's going to remember anything?” I asked Grover, as we were walking down the alley.

“I think so...” After a short pause he added “I definitely hope so.”

“Do trees have memories?” as the words came out of my mouth, Grover gave me the weirdest look I've ever seen. I laughed shortly at his weirded out expression.

“I don't know. On one hand it would be really helpful, but on the other, the thought of trees having memories is a little bit creepy.”

“I guess you're right...”

In front of the room, Chiron was already standing in his true horse form, probably waiting for me and Grover to come over.

“Is she okay?” Grover asked immediately, very worried about his friend.

“Yes, we gave her some ambrosia and she slowly begins to recover.”

When I've walked into the room, I noticed that Anabeth had already been there. She was sitting in a chair next to Thalia's bed.

“Guys!” she greeted me and Grover with a relief in her voice.

Now Thalia was also looking in our direction.

“How are you feeling?” I asked her, to which she gave me a little confused look.

Right, I knew her from my friends' stories but she had no idea who I was, because how could she? She was a tree for six years. I blushed a little from embarrassment but I don't think that anyone noticed, because Grover had brought everyone's attention to himself.

“Thalia! Oh my gods, it's so good to see you!” he said as he ran over to the girl and hugged her.

“Grover..?”

He smiled at her with tears of joy in his eyes.

“What... What happened? Why do you look older? ...And who is that?” she pointed her finger in my direction.

So we've told Thalia everything. Beginning from how she had died and became a tree at the top of a Half-Blood hill, through me turning out to be Poseidon's son, ending on our adventure of regaining the Golden Fleece from Cylclops called Polyphemus. It was really hard for her to believe us in the beginning but it was understandable. All of this, that had happened, was crazy. If I didn't experience some of those things myself, I think I wouldn't believe it either.

Days went by and Thalia was regaining her strength. After a week she could begin to attend classes at a camp. She turned out to be very good at fighting with a sword, which made her good opponent for me. We've actually became friends, so now it was the four of us in the pack – me, Anabeth, Grover, and now also Thalia.

I've been having a lot of bad dreams lately, all of them somewhat related to Kronos. I had a feeling that something really bad was going to happen soon... I didn't know at the time how right my hunch would turn out to be.
