Hazel POV

I knew that the boys weren't actually doing band practice but doing magic lessons, of course Nico didn't know I knew he was practicing magic against our Father's wishes and I want to yell at him for using magic like he did to me, I want my payback. His band was the cover and Dad doesn't come back home for another hour, so why not right? Plus the government only believes women can be witches so there is no danger in being caught.

I walked back into the living room with a smirk on my face.

"Nico, I need..." I trailed off to act surprised, the girls behind me froze staring eye wide at the scene they walked into. The boys were sitting in a circle around a candle, holding hands. They were lighting the candle with their magic. Nico's eyes widened as he turned to look at me.

"We're meditating," Nico stated instantly. I rolled my eyes and smirk playing on my mouth.

"No you're using magic!" I shout, glaring at my older brother.

"Hazel! Your friends are right behind you!" Nico hissed at me.

"They know we're witches! They didn't know your friends were witches though," I stated. I smiled as I looked over to the rest of the Big Five and Will, I waved at them. "What happened to don't use magic Hazel, its dangerous, you will get yourself killed like Bianca did!" Nico glared at me.

"Its not as dangerous for me-" Nico started but I cut him off.

"Why? Because I'm a girl?"I asked.

"Hazel! Dad gave me permission for me to do this and yes it is more dangerous for you to do magic because you are a girl, the government only hunt females because they don't believe males have powers," Nico explained. I opened my mouth to retort but then it struck me Dad let him do this?

"Dad knows?" I asked staring at my brother in shock, I thought he hated magic and would refuse to use it.

"Of course Dad knows," Nico stated rolling his eyes.

"I always knew that the band was a cover up but I thought it was for both Dad and me, now you're telling me that both you and Dad have been lying to me for over a year?!" I screamed at him.

"Hazel calm down," Nico said trying to calm me down.

"No!" I cried as I turned on my heel and run back to my room.

"Okay, you defiantly ruined another relationship with another sister," I heard Percy say as I stormed up the stairs.

After a while the girls came into my room, Annabeth was humming a tune that I recognized way to well.

Piper started to sing as Annabeth and Calypso hummed the tune.

I laughed at my best and only friends that I knew wouldn't lie to me. "How is it that you always know how to cheer me up?" I questioned them.

"Because Haze, you are our friend and we know you better then anyone in the whole world," Piper smiled as she answered.

"I'm sorry you guys never did the test, I know you all wanted to I just didn't realize how much my family kept from me," I looked down.

"Actually we did the test, I talked to Percy who chased after us when we went to cheer you up and I told him and he secretly did the test on us," Annabeth blushed.

"Yeah and good news you were right and better news Annabeth has a boyfriend," Annabeth went red.

"Back it up, what do you mean Annabeth has a boyfriend?" I questioned looking of at the blonde.

"He simply just asked if I wanted to learn some simple spells and invited me over to his place after they finished down stairs," Annabeth explained. I gasped, staring at my friend in shock.

"Percy asked you out!" I exclaimed but before I could ask anymore questions there was a knock at the door.

"Who is it?" Piper called, laughing at Annabeth red face when we got the answer.

"Its Percy, I was wondering if Annabeth was ready to go?" One of the hottest boys at the school asked through the door. Annabeth looked over at me asking if it was alright to leave me, I gave her a simple nod. She beamed at me as she gathered her things and left the room, leaving the house with Percy.

"Well I better get going Hazel, as much as I want to stay, my Dad is going to start wondering where I am, Caly? You need a lift home?" Piper sighed as she collected her things. Calypso simply nodded giving me an apologetic look as the two left my room and I was left to think about all the new information I've learnt in a period of an afternoon.
