Phoenix

After Raven strapped me down and cleansed my soul from our father's darkness. I felt bad for how I treated Beast Boy. I over pushed him to fight me. I sighed pushing my long violet hair back from my face. I stared into Raven's eyes with sincerity.

"Rae where's Beastie?" I asked with worry.

"He's probably still in the medical room. I don't think it's a good idea to see him right about now," Raven replied to me looking down but then at me.

"Please I'm not going to force him to fight me or anything. I just want to talk to him that's all,"

Raven sighed but she nodded her head letting me walk out of her room. I was in the empty hallways of the Tower by myself. The whole combat practice incident replayed in my head. I saw glimpses Beastie's face. The guilt was eating me alive. I felt like I was going to faint from it. But luckily I had enough strength to make it in front of the medical room.

I opened the doors to see Starfire on the left side of the bed and Robin on the right with Beastie in the middle. He's practice scars and bruises was being treated. When they saw me, Robin and Starfire stood up like they was going to stop me from coming any closer to Beastie.

"Phoenix are you okay?" Robin asked in worry.

"Yes I'm fine it's just another one of my episodes that's all, but Beastie are you okay?" I was worried, frowning from the guilt was still eating me alive.

"Yea momma I'm good!" Beastie smiled at me with his usual toothy grin he always give.

"That's good but is it okay for me to talk to Beastie alone in private?"

"Friend Phoenix I don't think it's a good idea. how you two do the resting on your own time," Starfire suggested.

"Look Star and Robin I'm not going to fight nor force Beastie to fight me like I did at combat practice. I'm just want to speak with him that's all,"

Robin and Starfire looked at each other. They both mentally talking to each other deciding on whether I talk to Beastie or not. Then they looked back at Beastie with concern. Beastie stared back at the both of them, nodding his head. Robin nodded his head, as Starfire and Robin left the medical room so I can talk to Beastie alone.

I sat in one of the chairs next to Beastie's bed. It was quiet and not one of us didn't say a word to each other. The only sound in the room was the water facet dripping droplets of water into the sink.

"You promise to fight me Beastie, so what happened?" I broke the silence.

"Yea I know, but I felt something was off about you the moment you stepped on the mat," Beastie answered.

"Beastie I'm so sorry, You know I didn't mean for that to happen," I said as I sat next to his medical bed.

"I know you didn't," Beast Boy looking at me with concern. "I don't want to fight you Nix,"

"I know you don't but you promised like I said before. Plus you have too because I won't be the same person you are looking at now when that time comes,"

"What do you mean by that?"

I sighed as I felt myself being sad and horrible to tell Beastie the news I didn't tell him. The reaction is going kill him.

"Because I didn't tell you everything that I should of told you that day when I was under Slade's control," I spoke looking at my pale hands as they got paler than before.

"What whole truth you didn't tell me?" Beast Boy questioned as I could hear his heart pumping faster.

Beast Boy

"That when my father takes over the world, he will strip my soul away from my body. He will put part of his soul in my body and use it as a weapon," Nix said as she look sad.

"What will happen to your soul?" I asked with worry in my voice.

"It'll be lost for all eternity,"

"What about Raven? What will happen to her?"

"Stuck in our father's realm lost for all eternity too,"

"HOW CAN YOU TWO CAN ACCEPT THIS LOUDSY OLD FATE OR "DESTINIES" YOU CALL IT!"

"We have no choice Beastie, if I could I would change it but that's out of my power!!! I tried to be positive hoping that I could change it before it's too late but I can't,"

"You can still change it this is you and Raven's life we are talking about here!!! You know what I'm tired of all this Titans work and worrying about fighting you in the distant future!!! Lets go on our first date?"

"Date? Where actually?"

"I was thinking showing you all of Jump City and even going to the fair that is in town!"

"I think I'll like that!"

Phoenix's pale gray cheeks had an hint of a cherry pink color. She was smiling a little bit. It melted my heart to see that smile that I've been dying to see. Then the door to the medical room opened, me and Phoenix turned our heads towards the door. Robin stepped in with his usual serious look on his face but it downed the tension of me and Phoenix.

"Sorry to interrupt but I need to speak with Phoenix in private if that's okay with you Beast Boy?" Robin asked as he looked at me with confirmation of that private talk.

"Sure that's fine with me, but is it going to be long?" I asked with worrying it might ruin our plans.

"No it's not going to be long just a quick talk that's all, plus you're clear to leave the medical room if you want Beast Boy. When I'm done talking to Phoenix is going to go to your room,"

"Okay, perfect!"

Phoenix smiled at me as she got up, walking over to Robin. They both leaving the medical room. I sighed with joy knowing that Phoenix and I are going on our first date.

Robin

I walked ahead of Phoenix as I was walking to my room. It was completely silent on the way to my room. Not a sound came out of our mouths. The door to my room opened showing my table that I'm using to talk to Phoenix.

"Phoenix please have a seat," I said as the door to my room closed.

I walked to the chair that was right behind me as the light of my room was shining down at the table for me and Phoenix. It was creating a suspicious tension in the room.

"Phoenix, I think you know why I ask you to come," I said starting the conversation.

"Yes of course it's about Slade and our time together under his "apprenticeships"," Phoenix replies as she looked straight at me with no fear.

"Yes so can you tell me what Slade was doing?"

"He wanted to take over the world of course and he was going to use us as his stage one of his world wipe out that included taking out the Titans,"

"What are the other stages?"

"He didn't tell me but he didn't wanted me to know the others stages but that one. That one stage was in motion,"

"So were you under his control?"

"Yes I was under his control at first, but he took me out of it. Slade knew he could control me without using his control powder on at first. He had something under my belt to keep me under him for while before the Titans showed up,"

"What did he had against you?"

"The people I cared about he will kill them before my eyes, I didn't want to see that. I care about you guys too much to see you in a dead state,"

I sighed wiping my face as I knew this talk is over. I told Phoenix that she can leave. Phoenix nod her head, she was walking towards the door of my room. I felt a cold hand on my shoulder and turn my head slightly to see Phoenix giving me a little worry smile. Then Phoenix left the room leaving me in my own isolation.

As I was thinking, I thought of what could Slade be planning. I felt like Slade is the cause for Phoenix to lash out on Beast Boy in the gym. Or maybe it was just one of Phoenix's powerful demon half wanting to come out. Or it could be Raven and Phoenix's father trying to get them to destroy the world for him. But then another thought came into my head, maybe Slade and Trigon are working together somehow. But I continued to think that knowing that combination of those two villains working together will be impossible.
