Annabeth was actually crying.

Leo could hear her as he approached Bunker 9. He changed course to get to where she was. It didn't take long for him to get there. She was sitting on a the ground by a tree, crying. He wasn't sure why burner didn't say anything and sat by her. He immediately put his arms around her. He didn't know much about people burns knew that should help. She cried into his chest.

At some point, her crying seemed to stop and Leo got out some tools and random things from his tool belt. He handed them to Annabeth. "I don't know what's wrong but we can build something to make you feel better?"

For some unknown reason, that made her laugh, "You're so weird Leo."

He simpered, "I know right."

She laughed some more, "Let's build something then."

"As long as you aren't sad anymore."

"I'm fine, thanks Leo."

He'd said that enough times to know she didn't mean it but if she didn't want to talk about it, he'd let it be. So he stood and held out his hand. "So we might as well head over to bunker 9."

She took his hand, "Well what are we waiting for? Let's go."
