"This is to keep it to the minimum." Sona continued the explanation "To tell you the truth, if Kokabiel were to fight seriously, not only this school, but the whole region would be annihilated. Adding to that, he has already gotten ready for that. My servant has seen him releasing his power at the school grounds."

Gremory shook her head "You also didn't call your Onee-sama."

"My Onee-sama is..." Sona trailed off "Your Onii-sama loves you. Sirzechs-sama will definitely move. So..."

"I have already informed Sirzechs-sama." Himejima-san said over their words.

Gremory turned with a face filled with anger towards Himajima-san "Akeno!"

"Rias. I know that you don't want to cause problems for Sirzechs-sama. It happened in your territory. In your base. And it happened after the family problem. But it's a different story if the leader of the enemy appears. It is a problem that surpasses the level that you can solve. Let's borrow the strength of a [Maō]." This time it was Himajima-san who was telling off Gremory.

"She's right..." I pointed out, my hands in my pockets. Since this is a guy that can kill us like insects, it's better to bring someone who can match him in terms of power like [Lucifer] or [Leviathan].

"Well, I'm surprised." Gremory said with crossed arms "I wonder who died and made you our passionate, charismatic leader."

But from the light smile on her face, I could tell it was a lighthearted jest rather than a spiteful retort since she was the de facto leader of this group. We needed something to keep the atmosphere from getting any darker "Since you're the only person who has experienced the most of Kokabiel's power, I suppose I could share the leadership role." She held out her hand to me.

"Obviously!" Leone agreed with a look of pride on her face "Of course my boss is the only one who could share the role of leadership on the battlefield! He is honestly the only one other than red who is right for this task!"

"Kōjiro, I will leave the rest to you!" Saji said with a look of determination on his face.

I nodded with a serious smirk "Alright... I'll be sure to give that warmonger enough trouble until reinforcements will arrive or I'll get the chance to kill him."

It's time to eliminate a warmonger from existence!

By the time we had reached the open field where Kokabiel and the geezer, Valper Galilei, were, everyone else was already prepared to bring on their A-game. Hyōdō [Promoted] to [Queen] the moment we entered enemy territory while she brought out her [Boosted Gear]. I equipped my [X-Gloves] into my hands and pulled out swords from my [Inventory], but I didn't [Promoted] to [Queen] as I'll keep it for a backup power-up just in case shit happens.

The Fallen Angel trio brought out what I could tell were the most powerful light spears they could manage. Nowhere near Kokabiel's strength, but I could tell that it would be enough to at least deal some damage to someone who is Ultimate-Class. Not much, but they would be able to defend themselves to a certain degree.

I immediately felt on edge when I saw that bastard, Valper, doing something with the [Excalibur] swords. In the middle of the school field, there were the 3 swords that were releasing extreme lights while floating. Having the swords at the centre, there was a suspicious looking magic circle spread in the whole school field.

"What is this?" Hyōdō asked the obvious question going into our heads.

"I'm going to make the 3 [Excalibur] fragments into a single sword." Valper said it as if he found it amusing.

I looked up to see the ten-winged crow, Kokabiel. He sat on a floating chair with the moon hovering ominously in the background "Valper. How much longer will it take for the Excaliburs to merge?" 

"It won't even take 5 minutes, Kokabiel."

"Is that so? I will leave it to you." Kokabiel then shifted his attention to Gremory "Is Sirzechs coming? Or is it Serafall?"

"In the places of Oni-sama and Leviathan-sama, we-"

It was the next part that honestly shocked me. A gigantic spear of light was thrown at the gym, erasing it from existence. There was not a single trace of it left.

Somehow, I felt excited rather than being intimated by the sight... My blood lust to eliminate Kokabiel just grew stronger than before.

"Boring. Well that's okay. It will be entertaining... Now. I will have you all fight my pets that I brought from hell." Kokabiel said as he clicked his fingers and the ground started to rumble. From the depths of the darkness are 3 giant black-furred dogs appeared from the ground. The most unsettling thing about them other than their immense size was the fact they both had 3 heads.

"The guard dog from Hell, Cerberus." Kala explained, appearing next to me.

Gremory seemed uncertain "To think he brought them to the human world...maybe one we could've handled, but 3..."

Hmm...

"A creature of Hell is still weak to light, right?" I asked, getting a nod from Gremory... I can see a battle plan now "Hyōdō, start powering up now!"

"Hai, Kōjiro! [Boost]!"

"By the way, Hyōdō. Including your power up, how many times can you [Transfer] your powers?"

"Right now with my current stamina, I can only transfer it 3 or 4 times with the maximum boost. No, I might faint after the fourth time so please think that I can only do it three times." Hyōdō admitted.

I looked at the others and saw that none of them are struggling to fight against their Cerberus opponents.

Looks likeI was right, as I saw another Cerberus appear out of the darkness. Before Leone could sprung into action, I felt 4 familiar auras appear before 1 of them cut off 1 of its heads.

I was Quarta.

"I have come to back you up."

...She earned some redemption points by saving Asia. I'll give her that. She slashed the torso of the Cerberus with her [Excalibur]. The Cerberus' torso split in half after receiving a fatal strike and turned to dust.

"Buchou! Akeno-san! I have got enough power to take down Cerberus!" Hyōdō called out, the gem of the [Boosted Gear] is glowing with a radiant energy. Hearing that, Gremort and Himejima-san looked at each other and nodded. Both of them came down from the air at the same time.

"Ichigo! You increased the strength of others, right?"

"Eh? Ah, I certainly did."

"So it's possible to increase both of us at the same time then! Please transfer the power to Akeno and I!"

"Let's do it, [Boosted Gear]!" Hyōdō began to release her power again.

[Transfer!]

Gremory and Himejima-san both smiled at the brunette

"I think this should be enough."

"Yes. We can do it."

I could feel their power increase from where I stood.

"...We can do this." Himejima-san nodded to Gremory daring smile.

"Akeno!"

"Yes! Thunder! Resound!"

Himejima-san pointed her fingers to the sky and started to control the thunder. Her fingers were aimed towards the Cerberus. It tried to run away, but it had trouble due to the countless [Demonic Swords] that shot out of the ground and stabbed into it.

"I won't let you escape." I turned to see a familiar, blonde-haired princess... About time she got here.

The howl of the Cerberus was overshadowed by the sound of thunder and its body turned to nothingness from the lightning. Because of its major power up, the potential demonic-energy got used up rapidly responding to the strength of it. Even if it was Gremory and Himejima-san, continuous shots would have been hard for them as well-

I turned around to see another Cerberus appeared and it seemed to be heading towards me... So slow.

"[Blistering-]" Just before I could finish, a spear embedded itself into 1 of the Cerberus' head before I saw Pendragon-san appear before she cut off the Cerberus in half.

I saw Shidō run over the dead Cerberus and pull out [Excalibur Mimic] and changed it into its katana form "You ladies sure took your time to get here." I said with a blank expression on my face.

"My apologies." Pendragon-san said with a serious expression on her face "We ran into some a few more of Kokabiel's 'pets', but they should trouble us no more."

"I see..."

"...It's complete." Valper's voice broke the little moment rest we had as we all turned towarda him

"The 3 [Excalibur] sworda are going to become 1."

Then the 3 Excaliburs that were placed on the center of the school field started giving out divine light that spread throughout the school field. Because of its brightness, we covered our faces with our hands. When I stared at the centre of the school field, I saw that the 3 [Excalibur] fragments were put on top of each other. [Excalibur] that was originally a single sword. It was split into 7, but 3 of them were going to merge together.

When the bright lights vanished, there was only 1 [Holy Sword]. 1 [Excalibur], created by fusing 3 together. It gave out a bluish-white aura.

"Because of the light created by the [Excalibur] when it turned into one, the spell on the ground is also complete. This town will collapse within 20 minutes. The only way to dispel it is by beating Kokabiel." The [Genocide Archbishop] said as the magic circle spread around the whole school field and glowed as it started to gather power.

Shit! Only 20 min!? The reinforcements won't make it in time! We have eliminate Kokabiel now! "[Promoted] to [Queen]!" I declared as I felt the increase of power within me, before I dropped my swords when I sensed a familiar aura charged at me and I turned around to see Esdeath smiling that bloodthirsty smirk on her face.

...I don't have time to waste against someone like her. I was able to catch her wrist that's hold her sword, before ice bursting out over Esdeath's arm originating from where I'm holding her.

"What!?" Esdeath asked as she tried to pull her arm free from my grasp, but I grabbed her shoulder with my right hand and a new burst of ice started to cover her from there. With each second that passed by as I held my grip on Esdeath, the ice grew over her and I just stared at the shocked expression of the [Master of The Sadist Life] before Esdeath was completely frozen in ice.

How ironic.... An [Ice Queen], sealed in ice.

Closing the pop-up window before looking up to see the surprised expression on Kokabiel's face before it turned back to a malicious smirk "Freed!" he called out the name of that shitty priest.

"What's up, Boss?" Zelzan asked as he, Mordred and Lancelot emerged from the darkness. I knew they was hiding somewhere.

"Use the [Excalibur] in the circle. It shall be the last entertainment. Fight while using the [Excalibur] that has turned into one from the 3 [Excalibur] swords."

"Yeah yeah. Geez. My Boss sure uses people recklessly. But but! It's like I'm so honored to use the [Excalibur]-chan that has become super wonderful! Something like that? Uhehehe! I will just chop some Devils now!" Zelzan then took hold of the [Excalibur] from the centre of the circle.

"Rias Gremory's [Knight]. If the cooperation is still valid, let us destroy that Excalibur together." Quarta spoke to Kiba

"Is it okay?" Kiba asked, Quarta laughing fearlessly in response

"At worst, it won't be a problem if I collect the 'fragment' of the [Excalibur] that is acting as the core of it. Since Freed is wielding it, that is a [Holy Sword] but it isn't a [Holy Sword]. Even if it's a [Holy Sword], it's the same as any other weapon. It changes depending on the person using it. That is a sword of heresy."

"Kukuku..." Valper cackled at the conversation.

"Valper Galilei. I am a survivor of the [Holy Sword Project]." Kiba said calmly as she pointed her sword at Valper, her eyes filled with hatred towards the old man "No. I am the one who was killed by you to be more precise. I have continued living by being reincarnated into a Devil."

Then the bastard took out some sort of shiny orb... That element-

This time, I heard the voices with perfect clarity... Like they were right in front of me. My eyes widened as I stared at the orb in Valper's hand in realisation... Could it be?

By looking at you, I see that the project was succeeded by someone. That Michael. He made me look like a criminal and this is the result? Well it's that Angel we are talking about. Even if he takes the elements out from the test subjects, he wouldn't go as far as to kill them. That part only would make him more human than me. Kukukuku."

"...You killed my comrades and took out the elements needed to wield the [Holy Swords]?" Kiba asked Valper with her voice filled with killing intent "THAT is your 'necessary sacrifice'?"

"That's right. This orb is from back then. I have used 3 of them on Freed though. This is the last one."

My eyes widened. My theory was given more and more evidence with each passing second... Those voices...

"Hyahahahaha! Other guys besides me died because their bodies couldn't synchronize with the elements! Hmmmmm. If I think like that, that makes me special." So, their comrades who stole the [Excalibur] swords died. I honestly wish that Zelzan had taken their place "You thought that guys like me would end up being tough, didn't you Kōjiro-kun? No, no. I won't die easily like that."

"...Valper Galilei. How many lives have you sacrificed for your greed and experiments..." Yumi's hands were shaking and there was an aura of anger coming out of her body.

"Hm. If you say that, then I will give this orb to you. My research has reached the stage where it is possible to mass produce them in the right environment. First of all, I will destroy this town with Kokabiel. Next I will gather the legendary [Holy Swords] stored around the world. Then I will mass produce [Holy Sword] wielders and start a war against Michael and the Vatican with the combined [Excalibur] swords. I'm going to show the result of my research to those foolish Angels and their followers who have convicted me."

Valper threw away the orb as if he had lost interest in it. It rolled on the ground and went to Kiba's foot. Kiba leaned down silently and picked it up. She patted the orb sadly, lovingly, and dearly "...Everyone..." A tear rolled down Kiba's cheek. Her expression was filled with an intense amount of anger and sorrow, but mostly sorrow.

Then it happened. The orb that Kiba held started giving out shallow lights. The lights started to spread and it eventually covered the whole school field. From the ground there were lights coming out and it started to form a shape. Then it formed into a proper shape. It took the shape of people. There were boys and girls who were giving out blue-white lights and they were surrounding Kiba.

I felt another sensation in my head... The feeling of foreign thoughts and words entering my mind. It was similar to the sharp feeling I felt when I heard those voices... But it was softer this time. Warmer. Less forceful and less violent.

"The various powers that are present on this battlefield made the spirits within the orbs appear." Himejima-san said. I could believe that. With everything that was going on, spirits from an orb filled with their light element wasn't the craziest thing I've seen.

"Everyone! I... I! ...I have always... Always thought about it. Was it all right that I was the only one that survived... There were those who had more dreams than me. There were those who wanted to live more than me. Is it all right that I am the only one to have a peaceful life..."

Ray and Mitt had a sad expression while Kala averted her eyes, clearly holding back tears. Out of everyone, Shidō seemed the most heartbroken. Before, she had spoken so easily about what good had come from the project, but now she was facing the true cost and it was clearly tearing up her heart.

Then a boy's spirit smiled [Don't worry about us any more. You are alive at least.]

...I heard his voice with perfect clarity... It sounded so familiar... I knew this voice. I've been hearing it ever since this mess first started.

Tears fell from Kiba's eyes as the spirits started to move their lips in a rhythm as she joined in with the song while crying, a few moments passing before the spirits glowed blue-white... The beautiful lights growing brighter as Kiba stood in the centre, their voices resonating very well.

[We were no good alone.]

[We didn't have enough elements to wield the holy swords. But.]

[It will be okay if we are together.]

Their spirits went up into the sky and they turned into a big light that fell down to Kiba... The light that split the abyss night looked as if it was giving blessings to her.
