"I-Is she serious that I'm your fiancé?" I asked the heiress, who just looked away and yet that action answers my question completely "...When? And most of all, how?"

"I-I guess that I should explain." Sona started and cleared her throat as she tried to regain her composure, yet I can see that she's having a really hard time to do so "...Back when I was younger, I was engaged with someone just like Rias. But he was centuries older than me and wanted nothing more but the fortune of the House of Sitri... So I propose a game of chess, with the loser fulfilling the wishes of the winner. I won, so I wished to break our engagement and declared I wouldn't marry anyone who's not smarter than me..."

I started to put the pieces together as she went on... She wouldn't marry someone stupider than her, she won her freedom through a game of chess... And I beat her in said game before "...Since I beat you in a game of chess, I technically outwitted you and so I become your fiancé." I finished with wide eyes, shocked that I didn't questioned the pop-up that stated my relationship with her.

An awkward silence covered us, neither of us has an idea on what to say in this situation right now... I mean, I can't even think of a response without possibly stuttering in the process. I looked at Sona and saw her blushing brightly, yet I can see a glimmer of curiosity within her eyes... Like she's waiting for my response.

Well, I guess that I should take the lead now.

"Well..." I started while scratching my right cheek. This is the first time I'm dealing with something more deep and complicated like engagement between 2 people, and said people are Sona and myself "I can't say that I should be your fiancé right off the bat, Kaichou... I believe that we should get to know each other and see how things will go before making things official... If we hit a roadblock and things don't work out, we can call the engagement off."

Sona stared at me for a few seconds before a smile grew on her face and she nodded "Yes... I believe that would be the best way to deal with 'this', Raiga." She said with a slightly happy tone in her voice, like she was glad to hear my response.

She moved away from Leviathan-san and cleared her throat again "How do you do? My name is Sona Sitri, heiress of the House of Sitri and President of the Students Council of Kuoh Academia. A pleasure to be your acquaintance." She said before doing a curtsy bow in the most possible way with the girl's school uniform.

I let out an amused smile before doing a curtsy bow myself and than straightening myself "A pleasure to meet you, Lady Sona. I am Raiga Kōjiro, a simple Reincarnated Devil, student of Kuoh Academia and a [Pawn] under the control of Rias Gremory."

I made it clear that I dislike being Gremory's servant, as I didn't addressed the heiress of the House of Gremory with the '-sama' suffix. I was forced to be her [Pawn] by the supernatural being that thrown me into this world, when I could have the choice to pick which side I could go with or just stay neutral.

I didn't need to look at Lord Gremory and Lucifer-san to know that they're looking at me with stern eyes as they understood my words... I got the feeling that they'll try to do something that will force me to bond with Gremory.

[Waaah!]

Leviathan-san suddenly cried out, startling us as tears fall down her face in a comedic way while she's looking at Sona with trembling eyes "M-My So-tan has a fiancé now! I can't fulfilling my dream of doing some yuri action with So-tan anymore!" She bawling out childishly before she started rolling down on the ground, like a kid throwing a tantrum.

"Onee-sama..." Sona sighed tiredly... I'm glad that I don't have a similar sibling like Leviathan-san, even if it's just an act.

"Please calm down... Levia-tan." I said awkwardly, while Leviathan-san kept rolling around on the ground "It's not like Sona and I are officially engaged, we're still on the getting to know each other stage."

"*sniff!*...Really?" Leviathan-san asked cutely.

I just nodded in response.

Note to self: Do not interact with Leviathan-san, just to avoid all of her crazy antics from that mask she's wearing...

"The Sitri household is peaceful. Don't you think so, Ria-tan." I looked at Lucifer-san to see him with an amused smile.

Gremory instantly annoyed as she looked at back him "Onii-sama, don't add a 'tan' to my pet name and call me please-"

"No way... Ria-tan. Even though in the past you followed me every time, while saying 'Onii-sama! Onii-sama!'... It's the rebellious age, huh..." Lucifer-san exaggeratedly gasped in shock, like the end of the world is coming.

Gremory's retort is stopped by a flash that made her realise that Lord Gremory had taken a picture of her with a smile on his face "That's a nice face, Rias. It's good, to raise you so splendidly... I will fill my wife's share of enthusiasm as she couldn't come here today."

"Otou-sama! Geez!" Gremory replied embarrassed.

...They seemed a bit normal, yet eccentric at the same time.

"The House of Gremory is known for being kind, so it would make sense that their allies be somewhat similar." Sona explained from my left, which I nodded in thanks for explaining things to me.

"...What do you think of chess?" I asked, ignoring Lucifer-san when he's asking something about borrowing his sister. She's not my property and she's your sibling, so feel free took take her.

Sona stared at me, but I saw a slight glint of interest in the corner of her eye "I find it to be stimulating. It's a game that truly challenges a person's intellect. Where intelligence and strategy is key. The sensation of partaking in a great battle between 2 minds, they clash like Heaven and Hell, battling for supremacy as they constantly struggle to gain the upper hand in the endless conflict they are embroiled in, is amongst the greatest joys one could find."

"...In short, you enjoy it." I said after a few seconds of silence... While I didn't asked for a VERY deep explanation, it only shows her passion for the game and I respect it. It's rare to find a teenager who loves chess.

Sona looked slightly embarrassed, adjusting her glasses which had begun to slip from her face "...Hai."

"There's nothing wrong of being passionate on something that you enjoy, as long it's not something that's completely dangerous to others and yourself." I replied while remembering a certain warmonger "Think of Kokabiel, he's dead now because of his bloody passion for War and violence."

"I suppose you're right." Sona replied with slight disgust, remembering the [Cadre] as well, before she turned towards me with a friendly smile "Would you like to have a game of chess with me?"

"Sure." I replied with a smile of my own "Lead the way, Sona."

I let out a tired sigh from behind the counter inside [TakeSushi], dressed in the chef attire, and I though of the revelation that happened today.

I'm engaged with Sona... Not officially, but it's still something that I didn't expect to happen so soon in my life and from simply winning against her in a game of chess of all things.

I don't like the idea of being engaged in such a way, but it's not like I hate Sona... To be honest, I'm attracted to her. She's very intelligent, doesn't let her pride get into her head like 2 other High-Class Devils most of the time, takes her job very seriously... Plus, I have a thing for hot girls that wears glasses. They just have a certain charm that attracts me to them.

"Anything interesting that happened?" Yamamoto-san asked from my right, causing me to glance him from the corner of my eyes.

Should I tell him? He knows when I'm lying or when I'm telling the half true and he'll bug me until I say the whole true... I can already predict what he's going to say if I'm going to tell the truth.

"Other than today was Parent's Day... I just found out that I'm engaged with an acquaintance."

"N-Nani!?" Yamamoto-san gasped and I can already picture his shocked face without looking at him "Y-Your engaged!? With who!? Is she pretty? Is it 1 of the 2 girls that came by awhile ago?"

"To answer your question in reverse order: No, yes, her name Souna Shitori and yes, but not officially as we're not dating yet." I explained while crossing my arms "We're taking things step by step, getting to know each other more and we'll officially be engaged if things will be alright."

*sniff!* I looked towards the source and saw Yamamoto-san crying manly tears again with happy smile on his face... Oh boy "My student is going to get married! He's finally going to be a man!" He explained somewhat proudly before bawling out on his left sleeve.

"Shut up! You're making a scene in your restaurant!" I shouted at him as I noticed that some of the customers looking at our direction with full interest. I let a groan of annoyance, this is going to be a long night of work.

The members of the [ORC] gathered outside a room on the ground floor of the old school building that looked sealed and had a large 'Keep Out' sign on the door. I realised that the dark aura that I felt during every time in enter the old school building originated from the inside of this room... And I feel a depressing atmosphere surrounding it as well.

"Why are we gathered here, Gremory?" I asked, despite having a hunch.

Gremory turned towards the rest of us with a slightly ashamed look on her face "We're here to release my other [Bishop] whose power is dangerous and uncontrollable. I wasn't able to completely control her with my own power either, so the higher ups ordered me to seal her."

"Then how the hell do they expect you to actually help her control her power if she doesn't have the chance to train with them?"

"They didn't want to risk the chance of 1 of the Pillars being destroyed. With the loss of half of the Pillar Clans from the Civil War, the Maou have been wary in regards to servants with uncontrollable powers." Phenex-san answered studiously.

...I can understand that sort of logic, as any sentient being fears things that they can't control or understand. If I'm going make an example, it would be the [Bijū] from [Naruto]. All of them have incredible strength and power that the humans in that world fear them and made many methods to control them... An ugly side of humani-No, of sentient beings that fears the unknown.

"That's right... They were worried that if her power went off at the wrong time, it could make trouble for my peerage and those around." Gremory added before she and Himejima-san started to take off the tape on the door.

"All day, that [Bishop] lives here. For the time being, her powers are loosened deep in the night, and if it's just in the old building, she can exit the room, but the kid inside refuses to do that." Gremory explained before knocking on the door as she created a magic circle on it and it started to expand to release the seal.

"Is the person a hikikomori?" Mitt asked while Gremory sighed before she nodded.

"The kid inside has been the biggest earner among the servants. Through a computer, the kid takes special contracts from humans." Himejima-san said "Frankly, it's a person who doesn't want to meet us. Those type of people negotiate in a different way, and make relations differently. They solve things through the computer. In the dealings through computers, amongst the new Devil servants, this kid grabs enough numbers like those of a superior rank."

...That's very impressive, I didn't expect that the [Bishop] can do all of her jobs through a computer.

I saw the seals carved into the door disappearing and Gremory opens the door. I felt the dark aura more and more now that caused my intuition to act up, telling me to be cautious when I enter.

"...Now then, I am opening the door."

[NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!]

A high pitched scream came from the room, surprising me as I didn't expected something that would cause my intuition warn me of some sort of danger to let out such a girlish scream. Gremory didn't look surprised as she sighed again and entered alongside Himejima-san.

"Good day to you. It's nice to see you all energetic." Gremory greeted to the person inside.

"W-W-Whyyyyyyyy!?" The same voice cried back.

"Ara ara, the seal got removed, you know? You are able to go out now. Now, let's all go out together?" Himejima-san said in a gentle tone, but it absolutely didn't work.

[NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!] The voice cried out in a panicked voice "This place is gooooooooooood! I don't want to go outside! I don't want to meet peopleeeeeee!"

"Poor thing..." Hyōdō spoke softly while I noticed Asia and Mittelt shared concerned look, Ray, Quarta and Kala looked questioningly, Yumi is smiled bitterly and Tōjō just let out a sigh.

I moved forward, leaning to look into the room that's decorated with pink and white wallpaper and soft toys arranged neatly on a shelf. In the centre of the room is a coffin with pink roses decorating the wood... So the person here is a Vampire.

I looked past where Gremory and Himejima-san are standing to see a 1st year girl with golden hair, red eyes and doll like features, sitting on the floor and looking as if she wanted to escape from the amount of shaking her body was.

...She's the source of all that dark aura? This is certainly something that I didn't expect at all.

"Eeeeek, the members increased by a lot!" Vladi cried out fearfully.

"Please, can we go out? Okay? It's alright for you not to be sealed anymore, you know?" Gremory asked gently.

"Noooooooo!" The [Bishop] shook her head "For me the outside world is impossibleeeeeeee! I am scared! I am scared of the outside! In any case, even if I go outside it would only cause trouble for otherssssss!"

"...What kind of [Sacred Gear] that she hold that made her dangerous enough to be sealed away?" I asked as a [Sacred Gear] is 1 of the few things that I can think of that can make a being a threat.

"She possesses a [Sacred Gear] that when she's excited, the time of everything in her field of vision can be stopped for a fixed interval of time." The red head explained.

An ability that's close to breaking the rules, as time manipulation is very OP if used right... If I'm going to make a bet, her [Sacred Gear] can be classified on the [Longinus] class like [Boosted Gear] and [Divine Dividing].

"Because she can't control her [Sacred Gear], by the orders of the Archduke and the [Maō], Sirzechs-sama, she was sealed." Himejima-san added while Gremory went and hugged Vladi from behind.

"This girl is Gasper Vladi. She's my [Bishop]." Gremory said to the rest of us "For the time being, she is a Kuoh Academia 1st year. Also, before being reincarnated she was half human, half Vampire."

"A vampire? Of the few Vampires I've slain, none of them were ever this timid." Quarta commented bluntly and I have to agree with her on that part, as all Vampires that I've faced myself are fearless and usually throws spells at me.

"Uwahh! Stay away!" Vladi whimpered as she tried to hide in Gremory's arms.

I saw Hyōdō walked over to Vladi and Gremory before holding out her hand towards the former "Come on, nothing is going to happen to you just by going outside."

"Eeeeeek!" The [Bishop] screamed before I saw her eyes flashed and caused me to glow an amber aura for a sec while the others, expect my lovers for some reason, has stopped moving like they're frozen solid.

I guess that [Harmony] has protected me again... As for the girls, I have a hunch on why but I can't prove it yet.

"N-no way, you guys aren't frozen." Vladi muttered with a shocked look in her face.

"Well, can you explain how did you stopped the others?" I asked while I sat on the ground, looking at the girl at least on eye level.

"W-W-Well, it's because I-I can't control my [Sacred Gear: Forbidden Balor View]." Vladi explained nervously "W-When I get scared, it j-just activates automatically and freezes everyone and everything that I see..."

"I see..." I muttered out loud while I crossed my arms and thought of another reason why Vladi can't control her [Forbidden Balor View], her emotoins...

Since [Sacred Gear] are powered through the desires of their wielder, desires themselves stems from the emotions of a person. Vladi is afraid of strangers, so this causes [Forbidden Balor View] to react automatically to defend it's wielder.

The only other possible reason is if [Forbidden Balor View] has a being (probably Balor, the Evil God that it was named after) sealed inside it like the [Boosted Gear]... But I can't find any proof of it.

"How did you because Buchou's [Bishop], Gasper-san?" Asia asked innocently as she kneeled down beside me.

I notice that Vladi tensed up and looked like she's going to cry... Whatever she's been through in the past must have scared her deeply enough to make her react like this way "What Asia meant is... How did Gremory turned someone like you, who has such a powerful [Sacred Gear], into her [Bishop]? I'm pretty sure that a single ordinary [Evil Piece] can't fully the job."

Just than, I saw that the others started to move again,

"This is strange. Something in this moment..."

"...It's certain something happened."

Hyōdō and Quarta looked like they were surprised by the mysterious phenomenon but the rest of the members let out sighs as they already knew power.

"Eh? Raiga?" Gremory said as she saw me sitting 8 foot away from Vladi, a place from where I used to stand on.

"Somehow, Gasper's [Forbidden Balor View] didn't stopped us." Leone said from my shoulder and I didn't need to look at my Fallen Angels to know that they nodded in agreement.

"I can understand if it's Raiga, but you guys as well?" Gremory asked in confusion.

"I don't know the answer to that."

"I've got no clue at all."

"Same here."
