Fabien's and Max's faces were blank for a moment as they stared at the bulky guys before them. None of them said either a word as René continued to glare the fuck out of these two boys. Fabien leaned back as they slowly moved over to their table. Christine turned around with a displeased look as she tried to stop them from getting closer.

"Looks like some things never change. You guys stick around each other like glue.", Max said, sighing. René gave him a smirk with dark eyes as he looked down on him.

"Looks like you losers also stick at each other like trash. Stop bothering my sister.", he said, his smirking face suddenly turning into a glare.

"It seems like she is more displeased with you than with us. Isn't it embarrassing?", Max said in return, ready to stand up and do something he might regret. At least that's what Fabien thought as he held Max back in his seat. But even he looked displeased by seeing their faces. He suddenly widened his eyes as he met eyes with one of the pricks he met in middle school. He had those same icy grey eyes as before but a more toned face now. He smirked at Fabien as soon as he realized his presence.

"Ohh look at that! It's the prick that ran away from us and stopped coming to school afterward. Ahh, is it because of the thing that happened with your father.", he said, showing up from Renés back. Fabien was like in a shocked stare as he widened his eyes at him. He felt a sudden twist in his heart as he bit his lip in anger. Max clicked with his tongue as he was about to go on them... Fucking assholes. How can you just sit still- Max thought as he balled his fist.

"Enough! If you say another damn thing I will never talk to you again.", Christine shouted, going in between them. The comment about Fabien's father got to her as she glanced at her crush guilty. There was a dark aura going around Fabien.

The boy clicked his tongue in irritation as he stood beside René.

"Is it because of that prick you broke up with me?", he asked, teasingly. He looked back at Fabien. Just bones and nothing more. Of course, he would think that because compared to his build, Fabien looked rather like a small mouse.

Christine sighed in vain.

"That's the reason why I hate guys like you.", she said, getting more irritated.
Fabien sighed before leaning back.

"I'm not in the mood for fighting against you guys. We aren't in middle school anymore.", he said, taking his bag. He stood up from his seat, leaving Max confused. They didn't even take a bite from their ice cream anymore but the air was too thick to enjoy something. He just quickly followed behind his friend.

"Wh-where are you going?", Christine asked, watching him walking past her. Fabien touched her shoulder while moving closer to her face.

"I have something to do. We'll meet in front of my school, you already know where I study. Visit me sometimes.", he said, making sure the grey-eyed guy heard him. Indeed he did. A vein popped up on his forehead and Fabien had to try his best to hide his laughter. Christine was blushing as Fabien told her to wait for him in front of the school.

"Finally. Or I would've punched their teeth out.", Max said, finally being able to breathe again as he was a few steps away from them, about to leave the shop. But René and the rest still heard them.

"What... You little shrimps against us? Let's try here and now.", the grey-eyed guy said, about to go after them with his veins almost popping off. But René stopped him as he saw the faces of the customers.

"You're crazy, asshole.", Max shouted back, before leaving the scene.

They finally hit the fresh air as they got out of the shop.

"What a great idea to go there.", Max said, annoyed.

"I'm not in the mood for your sarcasm right now. I was on the verge of going all out.", Fabien whispered out the last sentence. As soon as his father was mentioned in the conversation, he almost felt like he was seeing red for a moment.

"Look at that. They're following us.", Max suddenly mentioned, pulling him out of his daydream. Fabien glanced back and he saw indeed René and his guys coming out of the shop afterward. They looked like mad bulls.

"Why are these bitches standing right at my car..?", Max asked himself as he saw similar bulky guys in front of his car. Or rather, he had to go past them to even get to it. They didn't look like playing and wore the same ripped jackets as René. No one had to look twice to know what group they belonged to. Why does René have so many minions?? Is he in some kind of mafia cult...

"I have a great idea to get rid of them. But first, we have to get out of here.", Fabien said, smirking nervously now. There is a high chance that René is planning to break their legs in public or something, even demolish Max's car and run away. He saw a baseball bat in one of their hands and Fabien had no idea why they even carried one with them...

"What are you planning?", Max asked,  almost whispering to him.

"Hey, you two! Stop right there. We have something to talk about.", he heard René shout. As expected, they got the attention of the mad bulls in front of the car as they instantly looked into Fabiens and Max's direction. Now they really hit a dead end.

"Hey, you guys... You aren't planning to cause a scene in the middle of the streets where all the peoples are.", Max said, sighing as he turned around. He met with Renés large build and it was scarier from up close. He gulped in slight nervousness.

"No. But we can hit you unconscious force you to come with us instead. Except you want to walk on your own.", René said, demanding. Fabien twitched his brows furiously as he looked around the streets. There weren't many people around except maybe mothers and their kids going in and out of the shop. Or work people who looked like they were in a rush for something.. None of them saw something wrong with Fabien's and Max's situation.

"What? Already got cold feet? Where is your ambition from before.", the grey-eyed guy said, which Fabien still didn't know the name yet. He wasn't interested in it. The boy stared at them teasingly before Max clicked his tongue.

"This can put you in jail.", he said, glaring at them.

"My family hit a milestone in the past 4 years. I promise I won't be staying too long in it. Nowadays you can get yourself out of anything with money.", René answered in return and Max had to sigh in vain. He looked down onto the floor while looking like he is in some kind of distress.

"Well, if that's the case... See you later!", he quickly said, pulling Fabien out of the scene. Fabien widened his eyes as his friend suddenly forced him to run over the streets where the cars were still racing at a speed. He didn't expect that, neither the bullies. Fabien couldn't help but grin as they finally reached the other side of the road but they had to keep running as the bullies followed them with just a few steps behind. They had no idea where to run or hide but the only thing that seemed to matter was to get rid of them.

Strangely, Fabien and Max weren't too familiar with the part of the street as they suddenly ran into a direction where they had to widen their eyes in shock. They just looked up on a tall and red-colored wall made of bricks and a few trash bags on the side. It was a dead end. They instantly turned around to keep on running but suddenly they hit their nose into a hard chest. They stumbled back and gasped as they suddenly came face to face with René.

Fabien felt a tightness in his throat as René instantly grabbed his collar. He forced him against a wall and his face was just inches away from Fabien's. Luckily, there were just a few of them that found them and they split up to corner Max too.

There was nothing coming out of Renés mouth for a while as he just stared down on Fabien with a bitter glare. After a while, he just chuckled as he tightened his grip further.

"Since the beginning, I didn't like the smirk on your face. Acting like you're the shit when in reality everything is handed to you on a silver platter..", he said, moving closer to his face. Fabien was confused for a while as he had no idea who he was telling it to. Isn't he the one who got splendidly rich? Having even minions to take care of his work?

"Look, I don't know what you're talking about... But hell, take an ornament or something.", he said, grabbing his bag which was hanging loosely on the side. He hit Renés face with the bag as he took all his strength to get out from his grip.
