Author's note: most of the morals/deeds/actions I'll be mentioning and inserting in this story is based from where I live (PH)

So it's not exactly Korean or American culture/ways.

It won't be perfect because my brain is rotting these days smh ;-;

"Come on kids, we're all going to be late if we don't hurry!" Jeno rushes them with a playful smile plastered on his face.

Chenle groans as he grabs his backpack, the first one to walk out the door with Jeno and Jisung trailing behind, the latter gasping once he gets to where his elder brother was.

Eyes wide, sparkling with excitement, he screams. "Mister Blue!" Running towards the car as Chenle grumbles in annoyance.

"Not again."

Jeno gently pinches his side, flashing him a tight smile that has him clicking his tongue and walking over to the car reluctantly.

"Good morning, Chenle!" Jaemin greets him, smiling kindly before sharing a quick kiss with Jeno. "Morning, love."

Chenle rolls his eyes once he thinks his Papa wouldn't notice him. Having his back turned, greeting Jaemin happily like always.

Getting in the car, he tries to avoid any contact with the adults and even his younger brother who's singing a random song with Jaemin.

Once they arrived at the school, Chenle was about to finally bolt out of the vehicle– filled with a happy atmosphere but failed miserably when his door was apparently locked.

"What the f–"

"Chenle, you're forgetting something." Jaemin calls out, turning to look at the teenage boy.

"I have everything–"

"Not what I meant, Chenle." Jaemin smiles, almost sadly as he stares at him. "Don't you think you have a deed to do?"

"What?" Chenle makes a weird face as the blue haired man sighs.

"Come on now, Chenle... Always bless your parents or adults."

Chenle purses his lips as he hears that, he wants to refuse, but Jaemin beats him to it. "Show your little brother how to do it as well, be his role model."

"I don't want to." Chenle grunts. "I didn't ask nor wanted to be his role model. Why should I?"

"Chenle... It is your obligation whether you like it or not. Everyone will be someone's role model, it's just how it works." Jaemin says softly.

A beat of silence with only Chenle's heavy angry huffs can be heard, oddly enough Jisung went quiet too when he heard Jaemin talking to his elder brother in a serious matter.

Yet his tone was soft, having patience with the teenage boy. Jisung is slightly confused as to why and how his elder brother isn't yelling back by now as per usual.

"Chenle, you can't leave until you bless your Papa and I–"

"Why would I do it to you? You're not even my dad." Chenle grits his teeth, chuckling sarcastically.

"Lee Chenle!" Jeno scolds, eyes blown wide. He's appalled despite this known and old behavior of his eldest son, it still doesn't fail to shock him.

Jaemin hums attentively, nodding in understanding. "You know why, Chenle. Although I am not your parent, you should still do that good deed as a sign of respect."

"I know you really want to go now, and as much as I would like for you not to be late, I'm doing this for the sake of disciplining you and your brother."

"I'm just helping you out, Chenle..." The said boy squints his eyes when Jaemin glances at Jeno.

Without saying a word, Chenle huffs and takes Jeno's offered hand for the first time in a while. Pressing his forehead on the back of his hand and repeating the action to Jaemin afterwards.

He leaves in a blink of an eye, not noticing his Papa smiling so widely at what had just happened, whispering a soft 'thank you' to Jaemin.

"He's so annoying!"

"Right..."

"Like, you don't get it Yuna!"

The said girl nods while Chenle had his back turned. Yeah, I really don't. In a way.

"He's being a tryhard! Like he's trying to get close to us so he can get closer to Papa sooo bad, maybe even have something up his sleeve and–"

"Chenle, you sound like you're more concerned of having a stranger coming in your life and possibly be your new dad–"

"Don't. Say that!" Chenle interrupts, emphasizing his words.

Yuna rolls her eyes in response and continues on nonetheless. "And hurt your Papa rather than... Just plainly hating on him for being him."

"What are you even say– y'know what? Whatever. You clearly don't get it."

"Yeah, sure." Yuna mutters, watching Chenle walk around and kicking some small rocks as he rants to her.

"He just keeps bothering me, teaching us good manners”," he quotes, mimicking Jaemin's voice that has Yuna snickering quietly. "Why can't he just leave me alone?!"

Isn't it obvious, Lele?

"What about Jisung?" Yuna brings up, "he's your brother, and Mister Jaemin seems to be disciplining both of you guys."

"He doesn't count. Jisung's too stupid to realize what an asshole Papa's new boyfriend is."

"Hey, come on now, Lele. That was rude to both Jisung and Mister Jaemin." Yuna frowns, genuinely upset at Chenle's words.

"So what? It's true." Chenle snaps back, "Jisung is too much of a brat, then befriends Papa's boyfriend in an instant–"

"Well, that's just his nature. He's being kind and friendly." Yuna comments with a shrug of her shoulders.

Total opposite of you, but I'll let it slide since it's understandable.

"Exactly, he's practically blind, Yuna."

"Then what do you see? What type of person is Mister Jaemin to you, Lele?" Yuna asks peering up through her lashes as she lays back against the tree.

Chenle snorts sarcastically, "I told you already. He's an annoying asshole who won't matter later on. Not even to Papa. He's just causing trouble in our family."

"I have great news kids!"

Chenle suddenly takes his airpods off almost in panic as Jeno turns to them with a smile on his face, pearly whites flashing them.

"We're eating out tonight!" Jisung gasps and claps his hands loudly.

"Yay!!"

"Why?" Chenle mumbles out, fortunately being heard throughout Jisung's excited squeals and claps.

"Mister Jaemin kindly offered." Jeno gestures to the smiling man beside him. "Him and I have been going on dates of our own, why not have all four of us spend more time together?"

Chenle couldn't even comment due to Jisung beating him to it, as usual. Jaemin then says, "however, if we're going to spend time together, kids... You best be not play on your phone the whole time. Okay?"

"I don't have my own phone..." Jisung comments with a pout, making Jaemin and Jeno laugh wholeheartedly.

"It's okay, Jisungie. When you're old enough, you will have one." Jaemin winks at him from the rearview mirror.

"Chenle?" Jeno calls out with a brow raised.

"Whatever." The two adults then shared quick looks at that.
