That night, Jay couldn't sleep calmly.
He was trying to stay relaxed as he dozed off, but every time he had a thought about what may happen in the future made him wake up.
[Calm down. The key is to stay calm. I can't really rely on the home of Radio and Telephone every day. I must make myself a house out of the trees in the woods of Snowdin. Wait...what am I saying? I must stay with them so that I can help them...but...] he thought over and over again. Finally, he thought [I'll figure this out tomorrow or later.] as he blindly slumped his body down on what he thought was one of the two dutchies.

But felt cold.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
He was back in the dream void. Again.
Floating down or upwards as he tried to adjust his bearings.
[Ok. I'm back in the dream. Now I could explore the other options that were present the last time.] Jay thought as he tried searching for the screens. Instantly they appeared, but something was clearly different this time:

>[MEMORY]🔒
>[FRAME STATUS]
>[WEAPONS SYSTEM STATUS]
>[NAVIGATION STATUS]
>[RECALIBRATION STANDBY ORDER]

There was clearly a lock symbol on the MEMORY option. When Jay pressed on the locked option, a bright red message appeared in front of him:

[WARNING!]
[THIS OPTION HAS BEEN LOCKED FOR SYSTEM SAFETY]
[SHOULD THIS OPTION BE BYPASSED BY FORCE WHILE STILL LOCKED, SENSITIVE CONTENT FROM MEMORY THAT CAN RESULT IN MENTAL BREAKDOWN OR TRAUMA WILL SEVERELY DAMAGE LIMITER OR CALIBRATION SYSTEMS TO A LAGE DEGREE]
[PLEASE REFRAIN FROM OPENING THIS CONTENT AT THIS TIME]

[Oh...That means I can't enter. Could it be because of that dream I had last time? Guess I'll follow the instructions and explore the other contents] Jay thought as he switched and selected the FRAME STATUS option next. A large screen with the layout of his entire interior structure appeared in front. There were many options of the frame that were listed, like: Engine status; Joint condition; Data Flow status; Energy Flow status; Battery level(at 100%); and lastly Adaptive Unit status.
With curiosity, Jay pressed on the last option to figure out what the adaptive system was about.
[ADAPTIVE SYSTEM: a system based on the principles of rapid biological evolution that is incorporated into the frame. By experiencing combat, this system aids in battle planing and tactic generation. Basic functions include battle observations, energy analysis, integration adaptation, output limitations and countermeasures. Current abilities integrated in the frame are:
>[Jump mode: when an opponent uses "blue ability", the frame will counter this by strengthening the leg and hand/arm sub-units to evade, block or counterattack the opponent's blow.]
>[Enhanced Shield mode: although there is the standard shield already incorporated in the frame, this other ability can be combined with the present existent shield to the left or right arm to block incoming projectiles and attacks, and strengthen the standard shield's strength. This ability has also shown to aid in the standard regenerative process of the frame. This feature is currently undergoing more thorough adaptation.]
>[Normal mode: [ĒRRØR; cannot fully verify element at this moment.]
>[Six slots available remain in storage]<
[Wow. This is amazing! I didn't know that I've been built in with these cool features! What else does this body have?] Jay thought as he exited the option and selected the Battery choice in the middle of the body layout. There, it showed the condition, energy supply, and maintenance section of the power source.
However, when he looked more closely at the center, a message showed [SLIGHT ANOMALY DETECTED] where a faint red line surrounded the core of the body. Not sure as to what it was, Jay pressed on the [INVESTIGATE] button to figure out what it was.
Suddenly, the whole screen went glitchy and Jay was once again thrown into the overflow of numbers and data. [NONONONO!! Not again!!! Why now when I was just going to search what the anomaly was???] he thought as he reached out to the fading images. Then there was a blinding light and then Jay felt cold.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
"Jay?....Jay?...Little one?....are you alright?" Jay heard a voice come from outside. When he opened his eyes and adjusted them, he found himself laying down and covered in snow. Not to mention he felt extremely COLD. It was still night when he tried looking up.
"ARE YOU ALRIGHT? TALK TO ME!" came the voice again, which sounded like Papyrus. Sure enough, the gaster skeleton was crouched besides Jay with a worried expression, trying to wake Jay up by patting him with his bony hands.
"Papyrus? Where am—? Yikes! I'm freezing!" Jay said as he got up and felt more cold than ever, shivering. When he looked around to see where he was, Jay realized that he was right in the middle of Snowdin forest. Behind him were tracks left by him in the night before. [How did I get here? Was it Flowey....or....? Did I sleepwalk while I was busy exploring myself in the dream?] Jay thought as he looked over, where there were footprints left in the snow.
Papyrus then picked Jay up from where he was laying. "Woah! What are you-?" Jay exclaimed. "DO NOT WORRY! I WILL GET YOU SOMEWHERE WARM AND COZY RIGHT AWAY!" Papyrus said as he carried Jay and headed with him out of the forest and towards the town of Snowdin.

[I can't believe he carried me to his home all by himself.] Jay thought. He was in a house, to which Jay assumed it belonged to the gaster skeleton brothers. At that moment he was wrapped in thick blankets and cover sheets so that he could warm up, sitting in a couch. Yet he still shivered from the past cold.
"How exactly did you find me, Papyrus?" Jay asked the tall gaster skeleton before he sneezed. "I WAS OUT ON MY PATROL WHEN TELEPHONE AND RADIO CAME AND TOLD ME YOU HAVE GONE MISSING. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? YOU LOOK TERRIBLE." Papyrus said, giving Jay a worried look. Then he turned around and went to the table to pick up a phone, dialing a number to call someone.
"SANS, I FOUND JAY SLEEPING OUT IN THE COLD, SO NOW HE IS SICK. CAN YOU COVER MY SHIFT? I DON'T THINK ITS A GOOD IDEA TO LEAVE HIM ALONE." Papyrus said on the phone, then hung up later.
"Papyrus, you really didn't need to call off work." Jay said to him. "NONSENSE! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WILL MAKE SURE YOU GET BETTER!" Papyrus said, throwing aside the phone and heading towards the kitchen.
[Man. How do I make myself NOT become a burden to anyone?] Jay thought to himself as he looked down to his hands.
Just as he was getting relaxed, he spotted a extremely-small surveillance camera above on a ceiling corner. Just like the last time, he couldn't stop himself from latching on automatically as he connected to its feed. Again, there was Dr. Gaster watching the screen where Jay was located. Jay just adjusted the covers and turned around to lay down, pretending to ignore the camera.
["Fascinating. I must contact Sans to see if I can get observations from him while I'm off to work."] Dr. Gaster mused.
[Guess he may be visiting soon.] Jay thought to himself.
Later on, Papyrus came back with a plate of spaghetti and set it on the table that was next to the couch.
"GOOD NIGHT, JAY." Papyrus said quietly before he walked away.
