In the morning Jay woke up all rested up, yawning and stretching.
He felt something and turned around to see what it was. The lab coat of Dr. Gaster was covering him. Jay got up from the chair he'd slept on and hanged the coat on its top rail.
[What a night. It seems that Dr. Gaster is okay. Now, what was it that I had to do...? Oh right! I gotta share the good news to everyone!] Jay thought as he looked at the machine that has been completed yesterday at midnight.
Exiting the machine room, Jay went through the halls of the Lab in search for Dr. Gaster and Dr. Alphys. However, they weren't any other testing room. Jay checked Dr. Alphys's room, which was full of bookshelves and posters of cartoons. The young monster scientist wasn't in his room. Jay went to Dr. Gaster's office room to see if he was there. Again, the scientist gaster skeleton wasn't in his room either.
When he was about to go outside, however, he found both scientists. But they were with another large monster as Jay peeked through the door.
This one looked like a goat, who had broad shoulders, a bulky body, a golden blond mane/beard and two large curved horns. He wore a suit of armor, a purple cape with golden pauldrons, and a crown on top of his head. When he noticed the crown on his head, Jay instantly knew who he was.

It was Asgore Dreemurr, the king of the monsters.

[Wow. He's HUGE!] Jay thought with admiration as they saw the king and the scientists talking with each other. Jay was waiting for them to finish their conversation, but when he heard Dr. Gaster mention Jay...he opened the door and came out to greet them.
The three monster turned around and saw Jay approach them. Dr. Gaster was surprised, but the king was more surprised than the scientist gaster skeleton.
"Ah. So this must be the monster that you mentioned, correct?" King Asgore said as he turned to face Jay.
"Erm...yes, your highness." Dr. Gaster stammered, making a "What are you doing out here?" face. Jay, in return, made a "Don't worry" face as he made a polite bow towards the king of monsters.
"There is no need to bow, young one." the king said, chuckling as he held out a furry hand. Jay stood up again and shook the king's hand with his own.
"At last I get to meet you in person. And, I am thankful that you have been helping Dr. Gaster in his research. Could I perhaps go in to see the machine that you helped create by means of your abilities?" King Asgore asked, smiling. "I'll honored, sir." Jay said before letting go of the handshake. As they led King Asgore into the Lab building, Dr. Gaster made a face to him with a genuine nod. Jay gathered that it meant one thing: he hadn't told the king about who he really was, and that he had a plan on how to explain Jay's ability to absorb magic traits. Seeing this, Jay nodded as a way to say "Thank you." to Dr. Gaster as they led Asgore Dreemurr into the room where the barrier neutralizer was.

The conversation went better than expected, Jay being a bit worried of King Asgore asking him to demonstrate his full power(and him asking Jay about the robes of light he surely must have seen). Instead, the king of monsters only asked for a brief demonstration and an explanation of his backstory, to which Jay gladly complied.
"I feel so sorry about you, young one." King Asgore said.
"No need to, your majesty. All I'm grateful for is that I had the chance to live here, and help the Underground break the barrier with the best of my abilities." Jay said to the king with a smile. This made the king smile as well.
"So, now that the machine is complete, what do you plan on doing now?" King Asgore asked curiously.
"Well...would it be right if I bring the good news to my friends?" Jay asked the king, hoping it wouldn't be too much to ask.
King Asgore smiled and nodded, saying "Of course.". "Thank you very much, your majesty." Jay said happily, bowing down a bit before heading out of the Lab. Before he went out, Jay went to the machine and lended it some of his energy for later usage if Dr. Gaster needed it again.
Spreading his wings, he lifted off to find his friends.

First one was Papyrus since he was available during his patrol on Snowdin. When he spotted the gaster skeleton, Jay descended and landed besides his post.
"JAY! HOW GOOD TO SEE YOU! HOW HAVE YOU BEEN! WHERE WERE YOU ALL THIS TIME WHEN YOU STARTED VISITING ME A COUPLE OF TIMES?" Papyrus asked cheerfully as he bounded towards Jay.
"Sorry about that. I came here to explain the reason why I was gone for so long." Jay explained to Papyrus. And so he did, telling Papyrus about him, with his newfound abilities, helping his father build a machine powerful enough to break the barrier. That part was when Papyrus got really excited.
"REALLY?? THAT IS SUPER COOL!!! ALL OF US WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE UP IN THE SURFACE! AND NOW THAT WE HAVE A CHANCE, I THINK THIS CALLS FOR A CELEBRATION!!! OR, IN THIS CASE, A PARTY!" Papyrus said excitedly, jumping up and down.
"A...celebration? Party? What is that?" Jay asked, being unfamiliar with the exact concept of the Underground one.
"A PARTY IS A GATHERING OF FRIENDS TO CELEBRATE A SUCCESS!! LIKE GRADUATING SCHOOL!(I only got a slight chance to know that). OR GETTING A LICENSE! IT INVOLVES FUN ACTIVITIES LIKE PLAYING GAMES, SINGING AND PRACTICING SPORTS!" Papyrus explained to Jay.
"That does sound like fun. So...how do you start a celebration?" Jay asked the gaster skeleton.
"SIMPLE: YOU GO TO YOUR FRIENDS AND TELL THEM ABOUT THIS GREAT SUCCESS!! THAT BEING THE CASE, I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WILL INFORM HIS FRIENDS ABOUT THE CELEBRATION TO COME!!!" Papyrus exclaimed.
"Okay! Now I think I got the definition of celebration. And I think I might know who to invite. But first I have to know how all of us could prepare for this." Jay said, hoping Papyrus would be eager to help.
"WORRY NOT! I SHALL ORGANIZE THINGS! YOU, ON THE OTHER HAND, MUST REACH OUT TO YOUR FRIENDS IN THE MEANTIME WHILE I'M OFF! I WILL ALSO INFORM UNDYNE ABOUT THIS!" Papyrus said before heading off to find Undyne.
Jay nodded and headed to the town of Snowdin in search for Sans, then went towards the mountains to search for the dutchies and inform all of them of the celebration being planned.
[I feel...very excited. Since when did I feel that way? Well...doesn't matter. All I know is that I've achieved helping monsters find a way to go to the surface, and I can't wait for them to feel happy and free. Who else could be invited?...Guess I'll see after giving the news to Telephone and Radio.] Jay thought as he spread his wings and flew up to fly towards the houses of Snowdin town.
