Seriously guys... I cried while writing this, so just as a warning, you will probably cry. If you do cry, I will understand. There is nothing wrong with it.

Leo POV

"It. Won't. Budge." Jason complained as he pushed on the door. I continued to tinker with the doorknob, cursing at my brilliance.

"Why did I have to make these locks so good?!" I complained to myself. There were just too many gears and pieces to sort through.

Inside, I could her Clover crying, well no... That didn't describe it at all. Clover was wailing. Or bawling. Or whatever you wanted to call horrible crying. I could hear her banging on the floor, the walls, and the engine. I hoped she wouldn't destroy the ship.

Piper came running down the hall, Hazel right behind her.

"Step away from the door." Piper said, grabbing Jason's arm and pulling him away. I dropped my tools and crawled away as Hazel gripped the doorknob. Gears began to click into place as Hazel used her magic to unlock the door. She grimaced,

"This lock is really complicated.... It may take me a while..." I cursed,

"We don't have all day!" Piper put a hand on my shoulder.

"Leo, just calm down. We don't need any more emotions thrown into the situation." I threw my arms up in the air. Hazel shot me a ‘I will kill you’ look. I gave it back to her in return. Hazel scowled and faced the door.

Hazel and I don’t really get into fights, but today was an exception. We were all frayed from the quest, and we started to argue when we got mad. It was just a fact of ours.

Hazel sighed in exasperation. “This stupid lock won’t give! I’m going to go get Frank.” As she left, I listened. I couldn’t hear Clover anymore. She had gone silent.

My worry shot through the roof.

“We need to open the door right now!” I gripped the handle and twisted it with all my might. It wouldn’t budge.

“Clover!” I called, strained from my tugging, “Answer me!”

Still no sound.

“Move!” Hazel called from down the hall. She was running toward us, Frank in front. We all got away from the door. About halfway down the hallway, Frank started to morph into an animal. It was a rhino. With a large grunt, Frank charged the door full speed. He crashed into the door and it broke under Frank’s weight.

I quickly climbed over Frank and kicked the broken parts of the door aside. The sight I saw broke my heart. Even more broken than the door.

Clover was on the floor, cuts running up and down her forearms. Blood covered both arms and her knife, which was in her right hand.

Clover had cut.

I ran to her and examined her body. She wasn’t breathing. I saw one cut line that scared me.

It ran along her neck.

“GUYS!!! WE NEED TO GET HER TO THE INFIRMARY!!!! NOW!!!”

Clover POV

My body ached and screamed. My eyes fluttered open to see bright lights above me.

“Is she awake?” someone asked.

“Let me check…” a different person replied. A fuzzy blob came into my line of vision. “She’s Awake!” he, it sounded he, said. The other person who had been talking came into view.

“We need to get him.” she, it sounded she, said. The male figure nodded and walked out of view. The female figure leaned in closer to me and I could focus on her better. It was Piper.

“Hey… you feeling okay?” I lifted my arm to rub my eyes, but they stung.

“Oww…” I moaned and looked down at my arms. I then realized what I had done. My arms were covered in cuts, just starting to heal. I swallowed, unsure if that was a dream or not, until now.

Piper smiled and picked up a cloth. She started to dab my head, the cold water feeling good on my hot skin.

“You are pretty strong Clover,” she said, squeezing the extra water out of the cloth over a bowl, “You should have died, but you didn’t.” I nodded slightly, feeling the cut on my neck sting. Piper set the cloth down and opened a bag of ambrosia. She held it above my mouth, “Open up.” she said. I opened my mouth and she stuffed the godly food into it.

Warmth spread through my body, comforting me. It tasted like… Cheezits and root beer.

Then, the door burst open. I looked up and saw Leo standing in the doorway. His eyes were red and puffy, but he looked so relieved. He rushed over to me and enveloped me in a hug.

“I thought I lost you forever…” he cried, hugging me like he would never let go. I held him tightly in return.

“I’m sorry…I am so sorry…” I confessed, starting to cry. Leo held me, and I had no problem with it. I rested my head on his shoulder and he put his on mine, both of our tears falling like waterfalls.

I felt so guilty, I had left him. Even if it was for a few seconds. I would never do it again.

“Clove,” Leo whispered sadly, “why did you do it…?”  I bit my lip and leaned in close to his ear,

“Nico visited my future and said I would kill myself. He got mad that I wouldn’t listen, and we got in a fight. I-I ran into the engine room and locked the door… I wanted to be alone. The more I thought about it, Nico was right. I had been thinking about it… I was just scared to do it. I-I thought if I did it, Nico would never bother me again. I knew where I was going to go… and it wasn’t to the underworld…” I paused, wondering if Leo would understand. I didn’t think he would… I took a deep breath and continued,

“I-I found my dagger in my pocket and decided that it would be the best time to do go through with…” I didn’t need to finish. Leo hugged me tighter.

“Promise me you won’t do it again… please…” I nodded,

“I promise… I swear on the River Styx…”
